Yes and I did the build on mine, made 5 so far and the biggest is the 9 tail driver in 94 and contently replacing the drive cables and I did repairs on those tail drivers snapping gears and it's about time more of this stuff is coming out for the public
I have one of the original kickstarter tails.. They are night and day with these versions, working on a 433Mhz remote instead of bluetooth, plus they where made with 3d printed parts 😋 Funny to see the animations didn't change much, though! 😄 Mine had literally 6 AA batteries to work 🤣

I'm most concerned about noise, I won't just wear a tail to a convention. I wear it everywhere so I'm looking at different companies for something like this.

Crown reads commands from you, sends control signals to the animatronics for preprogrammed (or even real-time command-control loop) motions. With enough training time and data a learning algorithm should be able to pick up a rough gauge of your actual moment-to-moment mental state, and use that to generate "on the fly" motions for the tail and ears. Say you're calm and relaxed, and see something interesting. The crown could conceivably recognize the transition between these two distinct states, and cue the tail and ears such that the tail is raised and the ears come forward at the same time as your actual face, eyes, and stance reflect the change in mental state. At that point, the only real problem is the sense of proprioception. Do you know where your tail is?
Would be even cooler if it worked like nekomimi .. maybe a little better, with trainable brainwave patterns, assigned to each move. You think of an apple? Wag! :D that'd be totally rad!
Ok this is quite embarrassing but oh well 🙈 When I was really little I wanted a tail suuuuuper bad! I wanted to be a dog so I would make my mom pretend to be my owner and I would be a dog.. I would always explain stuff like “whenever I scratch the door it means I want to be outside” my poor mom had to go through this for 2 1/2 years.. fun times 😅 I make tails but it’s very expensive and I’m only a kid so it’s hard to make them. Im saving up my money to get a MiTail!
I have a question I got my tail just yesterday and this morning after charging it doesn’t wanna move right I feel like there’s something wrong with the motor and I don’t know what it could be it looks like it wants to work but it looks like it can’t work is errors a possibility????
It's actually reasonably priced for what it is. Please keep in mind, just because something is out of your budget, doesnt mean it's expensive. It's a remote control tail with a custom cover and they fix it if you have any problems for free... I'd say its a great price for that.
