The "Weird Bit" part is insane. Aligning each individual sound to that bassline sample sounds very tedious and time-consuming. When I first heard I thought it was a tempo automation type of thing. Just WOW🤯

At 11:15 - turning Osc Rand down to zero should make each time the sound plays the same, then you can tweak the Phase to get to the one you like the most. But tbf it's Mr Bill and Virtual Riot so there's probably something else in the effect chain at play 😅

Definitely stealing this transient reader! I’ve been doing the same by copying the kick and snare and shortening them putting everything on a premaster buss and leaving them going straight to the master with another limiter. This is SO much simpler

I'd expect Mr. Bill to use his own Slap VST for replacing transients, but okay, whatever works I suppose. Going to guess its a workflow thing in this instance and perhaps because it involves more than 1 sample+processing.
This re-adding technique doesn't sound clean to me at all though. I would understand if you're going for a saturated/clipped sound, but clean?
Not hating or anything, I appreciate the work.
