- This week, we have something a little different in store for you. While the usual suspects of TV news are still up to their usual tricks - Sudhir inventing new jihadis, Amish getting insulted by his panelists - we decided to take a closer look at the parliamentary budget session.
There was a lot of drama as the opposition and the governing party locked horns in #Parliament, with both protesting against each other. The BJP demanded #RahulGandhi apologise for his remarks in the UK, the Congress demanded a probe into the Adani-Hindenburg controversy. There was a lot of ruckus and sloganeering but very little work that took place.
We’ll tell you how much time and money was wasted this session - and also whether any important bills were passed.
And yes, while all this was happening, the usual suspects were busy doing what they do best: fawn over their dear leader and attack the opposition.

@@severadas993 Don't you get this? We pay them, we elect them for what.. For just doing campaigns in the Parliament?... Because of it how many important bills are pending and how many bills are passed without debates and discussions. We are not under a One party system so one party cannot pass it without debate. We are not china.. We are indians and Democracy is our first priority. Whether it is violated by ruling party or opposition party, it shouldn't be done in Parliament.
@@krishkumar5688 Ah. Yes. There are parliamentary devices specifically designed to question the ruling party. Rather than utilising it the opposition is simply creating chaos by screaming slogans.
@@krishkumar5688 well said, but what can one expect when we voters put in place accused criminals, rapists, corrupt, uneducated? They are incapable, incompetent, low on comprehension and perhaps looking at how much is there to enrich themselves. Blame voters!

@@rajrathore2 Parliamentary work and maintenance needs money which used out of us(tax payers money) if parliament adjourned or dismissed within less then a minute means very low productivity and bills would be passed without any debate.
This was a great episode! The detailed coverage of the events in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha was indeed very telling.

This parliament session reminded me of my school days. This kind of hoi halla, unruly behaviour, and indiscipline was as prevelant as the punishments that followed. As funny as it is, it is equally tragic that our politicians expect the world to take us seriously while behaving like kids.
I am just glad that there very very intelligent and highly educated advisors working behind the scenes in different central offices (akin to parents to these "politicians"). However, these people are still the decision makers, that we give our vote to, based on simply preferences rather than their qualifications.
Now I realise the value of my vote.

Manisha - have to comment on the beginning of this episode - the ramblings of 'Ullu Gullu' are not just a spectacle to behold, it serves a purpose to invalidate any opposition to the Party in Power. When the insults fly only when someone from the opposition speaks, it's a pretty clear indicator of where discourse in India is headed
