Totally agree with you on this. Our parents and grandparents were used to ferment for room temperature for 8-10 hours anyway without Instant Pot!!
So what's the advantage of doing thus in Instant Pot than regular traditional method. Matter if fact if you would warm some water on big cooker. Turn Off Gas , put batter in vessel inside warm cooker and leave for 8 hours. You'll receive the exact same result.
Hi.. I don’t have yogurt setting. Is there any option to ferment in instant pot?

Yes dear you can make it without yogurt button to but it take little more time .. you can set instant pot on keep warm button for 20 minutes only than leve Idli batter in the pot for next 9-10 hours... or if you don’t want to use instant pot than keep batter in the oven for over night make sure oven should be off 👍🏼😊 I hope it will work for you thanks

Not compulsory but for best results you can add little.
But my fermentation never happens i tried your way only i don’t know why?
@@purvakapadia8195Methi dana helps with fermentation.. If it doesn't ferment, just add some dahi to it and helps with instant fermentation
Should we soak it overnight? Just 2 hour soak would be enough?
Yeah 2-3 hours would be enough. You can also soak in warm or hot water.
Did you use a vitamix to blend it? Could you tell approximately how much water you used in total to blend the dal?
