I love that you tell it how is and that you test 8 -10 of the same products before you tell us it's crap!! You are going to save me a shit ton of money Thanks Sed!!!
Dude tell it like it is the amount of money you can spend on rc is crazy and it’s nice to see somebody holding these companies accountable you’re awesome dude Keep it up I was just about ready to buy one of those won’t be happening now thanks for the info
Way to go Sedrick! Its about time someone grows some fricken gonads and calls these cheap a__ Companies out on their garbage. Obviously my response would have even a little more direct with COXEER If they told me to find someone to fix their crap. Keep up the good work!!!!
Love these videos Sed!!! You're a awesome pilot and one I actually trust the opinion of and know your not just trying to sell something. You should make more tech videos man. You do the conversation and opinion part then do the testing or what not on ivans channel. You're both awesome and make a great team!
Damn. I will be going to RunCam micro's when I get a new frame to hold them, but I can tell you about my experience with my Foxeer Monster v2. I bought it in June of this year and have learned to fly with it over the summer. So I guess about 4 months of flying and crashing, and I have had some serious crashes. Both as a beginner making newb mistakes and as a racer as I've gotten quite good and fly with a 50 degree cam tilt now. I've hit light poles and tree trunks and broken race gates in two. I've had to replace the Monsters lens and even the metal case because I've broken/stripped out all 3 available screw positions. But the PCB/sensor inside is still working just fine. It's crazy that you've had so many fail, and I'm sorry to hear it. Better luck in the future Sed! Peace out :)
I always reinforce the sensor with CA cement (backing soda with CA glue). I did not break a camera since. Nowadays they often come with epoxy from the factory which is fine too.
Woow another great vid I know people who hot glue the sensors on there cams for durability haven't tryed it yet foxeer don't even set the camera up for you either have to work that shit out for your self
I had a foxeer monster v2 that took a really hard crash that broke the lens cam stilI worked I replace the lens next day I LANDED a little hard and it blacked out dead. Thanks man. I thought it was just me.
Unfortunately, in the past few weeks Ive damaged 3 Runcams; 2 x Swift 2's and an Eagle 2. Its damn annoying as they are one of the single most expensive components. Granted, on two of the cameras, I obliterated the lenses in the crash, but what I dont understand is how they are being killed. The PCBs / sensors arent burnt or have any physical damage so Im not sure how exactly they die. Is it the sudden jolt they get or maybe a voltage spike getting through the 5v filter (but these cams on spec can take well in excess of 5v, many up to 36v) so what is failing on them I dont know. Before I buy another cam I'm going to try and reflow the solder as the Eagle 2 and one of the Swift 2 has intermittent problems, the Eagle just sometimes doesnt power up and I get a black screen, the Swift 2 looks like its getting bad grounding or something as it produces random black lines in places (its not esc noise, I know what that looks like and its not that). If you do find out what it is that does the damage I would be curious to know because as you pointed out with your failures, the boards and sensors look perfectly finez nothing burnt, no components missing and no marks on the sensors like the lens moved back and knocked it, but sudden jolts just seem to cause they to flake out.
Spike's gives all the issues. All the components will be affected over time. Of course, g forces can also demolish everything. First step is to make sure there is a "low esr" cap installed ( 4 s 35 v/1000 µF). 6 s even more voltage and how much i don't know at this time.
Yo sed! i'm having these blackouts with my foxeer micro arrows too but I found a solution that how I got 1/2 working. Reflow those pins that goes to the sensor. Put solder iron to the pin/leg and move it from up to down (circuit board is down)
put 2 Foxeer monster's on my quads, same day took off,,, garbage product... lost me as a customer for ever... No matter what they come out with, I would never spend a cent on them... love my runcams... other then split's, never broke one either,,,, broke lot's of split's though.... thanks again for letting us know the truth.... big fan
yeah this companies don't want to use the good solder and the right amount. try a conformal coating on the electronics silicone is good for shock and moister. lol ill fix them for you if I can and send them back try putting hot solder iron tip on the image sensor legs to rebond solder if you can add a little 60/40 then coat boards in conformal don't get on image sensor though.
I have foxeer nightwolf v2 and monster v2 and the havent let me down. But not good to hear that foxeer customer service. If you want to be respected company, you gotta respect your customers. I had bad customer service from BrotherHobby other day and It made me think do I want to buy their products again.

This is great, we need more if this. I also dumped my Foxeer monster, it worked but light handling was very bad.

Sed, cant wait for your review on the unify pro. Im looking at that at the moment for the new crossfire set up.
I have runcam's but recently started buying the knock-offs, due to high cost!!
I had a foxeer monster v2 that took a really hard crash that broke the lens cam stilI worked I replace the lens next day I LANDED a little hard and it blacked out dead.
Thanks man. I thought it was just me.
Put out some flying brother. Your bad ass.
I soft mount my swift with the foam from motor boxes I've had zero problems since I started doing that.
I'm running run cams Swifts 2 series and no problems! :)

Dude, I have a new Foxeer Arrow that I purchased within the past 3 months. It sucked! I had it on the quad for less than 1 hour.
Spike's gives all the issues.

are you putting Capacitors on your quads? put Panasonic 35v 330uf cap on all your quads
Anatoliy Pishenin at the time I didn't. But even when I started doing that. These cameras still failed. No excuses.
i could not agree more, i still fly runcam swift on all my quads, i really like the rotor riot cameras
Yo sed! i'm having these blackouts with my foxeer micro arrows too but I found a solution that how I got 1/2 working. Reflow those pins that goes to the sensor. Put solder iron to the pin/leg and move it from up to down (circuit board is down)
Damn I'm happy I've always used mostly runcam.lol unfortunately I've bought a few foxeer monster minis I hope they don't crap out on me..
MikeflightFPV Coxeer has gotten better nowadays. They once were seriously a piece of junk
ive always been a runcam man but have tried foxxer and hate them
put 2 Foxeer monster's on my quads, same day took off,,, garbage product... lost me as a customer for ever... Can you elaborate on what makes them garbage? I've only ever used the Monster v2, so I'm curious. What am I missing out on? Thanks man. :)
iv got monster v2s on all of my kwads 8 in total and i wouldn't use anything else..
yeah this companies don't want to use the good solder and the right amount. try a conformal coating on the electronics silicone is good for shock and moister. lol ill fix them for you if I can and send them back try putting hot solder iron tip on the image sensor legs to rebond solder if you can add a little 60/40 then coat boards in conformal don't get on image sensor though.

Eagle micro is the way to go if you can spare a gram or two
I have foxeer nightwolf v2 and monster v2 and the havent let me down. But not good to hear that foxeer customer service. If you want to be respected company, you gotta respect your customers. I had bad customer service from BrotherHobby other day and It made me think do I want to buy their products again.
had a bad experience with brother hobby too when I first stated, I've been using rcinpower motors since.
bro you need a better camera ;( this was just by the way. I like your videos bro :) keep on movin
Foxeer cameras are the worst I will never buy one again I've had two literally stopped working out of nowhere
runcam > foxeer I have about 4 foxeers I wont put them back on any quads
Find someone to fix it or you can fix it. I got that from a couple companies that claim to be the best. Isdt is one of them
