@@phillipfry9765 Judgement day can't be prevented, only postponed. The T2 ending with old Sarah sitting on the park's bench an doing laces was cut T3 fits T2 story.
People can give Sam Worthington shit for the Avatar films, but his acting in this scene alone is incredible. His reaction of sheer terror and confusion of discovering that he has been mutilated, mutated, and recreated is truly horrifying. That’s the exact reaction I’d expect of anyone.
@SorcererOne noine-deen when he's saying nineteen. Also his "about". It sounds like a flattened Australian accent with American r's but he still leaves out those r's sometimes. It's a mess, he really needed a dialog coach. Compare it to Bale's consistent accent.
This scene and the scene where he hears Rooster playing on the radio in the Jeep. Just brutal for Marcus to keep experiencing all that pain. But he keeps pushing through to help the humans after all that happens to him. I was always sad they couldn't put John's damaged heart in him due to his healing capability, instead of him just dying for one last sacrifice to keep his humanity and save humanity.
Dark Fate was literally a poor remake of T2 only replacing John with that girl and even the "new thing" was already used in Salvation(human/machine hybrid). This movie is the TRUE sequel to the original 2 movies. And should have been the ground for the rest of the franchise.
They showed us a what if john connor was succesfully killed scenario, which was good imo. But the crap that came after it ruined it. Felt like a forced down our throats feministic agenda tbh, which is a common trend to do in movies lately. Kill the old story start a new one with a female lead character. I have nothing against a woman as a lead character, but the way they just ruin the story because of it is not the right way of doing it. And there are several other movies which went on the same path. (Star wars for example)
Actually, if you look at it properly you can see a part of the floor sticking out enough. He's obviously standing on that, plus Marcus's angle while hanging l, so it makes sense : /
It blows my mind that from the filming all the way through the entire ADR and postproduction process, somehow no one noticed Sam Worthington slipping deep into his Aussie brogue from 3:24 on in this scene.
@x12 417 I like the way they went, it was what I've been wanting to see, adapted civillians just trying to survive, that's what I got, the terminator war was a bonus, I rlly got the off put psychological tone from Christian bale and i thought he did nicely.
I think it had a great premise and I wanted to see the gritty war years but the plot made no real sense by the end. The time travel at the end should have looped back into the plot of the earlier films.
Never understood all the hate this movie got, I thought it was great!! And when they brought it all full circle with the Arnold terminator at the end was wonderful
I saw this in theaters and I can not believe all the comments saying, "I didn't like it then, oh no, but now..." come on people! Where was your eyeballs?? Still an incredible movie. In just this scene, you can feel how cold and tense the air is from these two super powers meeting for the first time as they are, man and machine. Both have their dilemmas, one is a man, who can't figure out he is a machine, the other Conner, thinks he knows the enemy, and realizes he has no clue. The face off they have here is just phenomenal.
I didn't like it then and still don't now. It wasn't the kind of movie I like, and was too different in the series. Plus the terminator fight at the end was fucking dumb, "oh I'm going to walk slowly and menacingly towards John Conner and throw him down a little bit.... No, I will not just punch him through his face really quick." Fucking stupid. Especially compared to the one crawling towards him WAY faster earlier in the movie that ACTUALLY tried to kill him.
The combat scene at the start of the movie around the satellite dishes was absolutely dope. It's basically the Terminator movie I've been waiting for, and still haven't gotten.
Still doesn't make a ton of sense how he thinks he's human. He takes an insane fall off that bridge, walks away from it & doesn't even question how he's still alive with no broken bones or pain.
@George Thomas I guess I wouldn’t draw the conclusion that I had been turned into a cyborg, but I definitely would be questioning some things. He had taken some bumps to that point, but you aren’t walking away from that fall with some scratches.
@@Сайтамен Well, biologically Marcus is still human, Skynet just swapped out his bone system for a terminator one, he’s still got a heart, stomach, brain, nerves, lungs, and bloodstream. What if you find out you were a cyborg. It's unbelievable but there it is, your arm and hand is a damn robot. You peel your face and see the metal. You scream and break things in unbelief. You cry hysterically. But then you cling to the fact that you are still half human. Your heart is beating. You convince yourself that you're still human despite the machine part. You pull yourself together and accept it. You are determined to be human and be what you want to be.
@@BethJehovah You'd also be confused as hell. Your mind thinks you're flesh and blood because you died a human but now, your eyes show you otherwise. It's Kafka's Metamorphosis played as sci-fi body horror.

People can give Sam Worthington shit for the Avatar films, but his acting in this scene alone is incredible.
His reaction of sheer terror and confusion of discovering that he has been mutilated, mutated, and recreated is truly horrifying. That’s the exact reaction I’d expect of anyone.

@@jamescricketson9464 You're wrong, cope.
@SorcererOne You're boiling his acting down to his vocal performance which he likely didn't receive coaching for.
@SorcererOne noine-deen when he's saying nineteen. Also his "about". It sounds like a flattened Australian accent with American r's but he still leaves out those r's sometimes. It's a mess, he really needed a dialog coach. Compare it to Bale's consistent accent.
His acting is fine but his accent keeps slipping through
This scene and the scene where he hears Rooster playing on the radio in the Jeep.
In the comics Marcus just grows a new heart and is revived after months in his grave, so he does get to play a part again there at least.
Dark Fate was literally a poor remake of T2 only replacing John with that girl and even the "new thing" was already used in Salvation(human/machine hybrid). This movie is the TRUE sequel to the original 2 movies. And should have been the ground for the rest of the franchise.
I agree dark fate was a money grab. Like we wouldn't notice it was a rehash.
the true sequel is TSCC
They showed us a what if john connor was succesfully killed scenario, which was good imo. But the crap that came after it ruined it. Felt like a forced down our throats feministic agenda tbh, which is a common trend to do in movies lately. Kill the old story start a new one with a female lead character. I have nothing against a woman as a lead character, but the way they just ruin the story because of it is not the right way of doing it. And there are several other movies which went on the same path. (Star wars for example)
I do think that it was a nice nod to T3 to have Kate Connor be a redhead still

I liked this movie. A lot more than I expected.
It blows my mind that from the filming all the way through the entire ADR and postproduction process, somehow no one noticed Sam Worthington slipping deep into his Aussie brogue from 3:24 on in this scene.
It was like he didn't care anymore, his character was just going full Aussie from that point.
@@fallinginthed33p Now imagine Marcus but Scottish. That'd be something.

People always compared with Terminator 1 or 2, those are hard hurdle

I saw this in theaters and I can not believe all the comments saying, "I didn't like it then, oh no, but now..." come on people! Where was your eyeballs?? Still an incredible movie. In just this scene, you can feel how cold and tense the air is from these two super powers meeting for the first time as they are, man and machine. Both have their dilemmas, one is a man, who can't figure out he is a machine, the other Conner, thinks he knows the enemy, and realizes he has no clue. The face off they have here is just phenomenal.
I loved this movie
I didn't like it then and still don't now. It wasn't the kind of movie I like, and was too different in the series. Plus the terminator fight at the end was fucking dumb, "oh I'm going to walk slowly and menacingly towards John Conner and throw him down a little bit.... No, I will not just punch him through his face really quick." Fucking stupid. Especially compared to the one crawling towards him WAY faster earlier in the movie that ACTUALLY tried to kill him.
Masterpiece, nothing will convince me otherwise.
We really didn’t know what we had with this movie. If we only knew what came after we would’ve appreciated it a lot more
I've had people look at me in shock when I told them I like the movie. I think the Director's Cut is better than the theatrical.
no, this movie is a pile of trash just like the ones after it as well as terminator 3.

I loved this movie back in 2009, I was so disappointed when the franchise got rebooted. My second favorite Terminator movie.
Also, doesn't he sence metal in his body? And does he feel starving?
@@Сайтамен Well, biologically Marcus is still human, Skynet just swapped out his bone system for a terminator one, he’s still got a heart, stomach, brain, nerves, lungs, and bloodstream. Skynet added armour plating, placed cameras behind his eyes, and chipped him to the central network.
So yeah, he would still get hungry. He even says he’s hungry before he steps on the landmine. And no, he wouldn’t be able to sense his body is metal. If you ask someone whose had a hip replacement if they can sense it’s metal, they wouldn’t be able to sell based on senses, only the knowledge they know they had a replacement.

I just want a James Cameron directed terminator movie, just like this one. To show us exactly why they feared the terminators and all the different models
He approved and actually came up with the idea of killing John Connor in Dark Fate and generally praised both Dark Fate and Genysis so no, he shouldn't do more Terminator movies because he doesn't care anymore.
I personally did enjoy Salvation, the only one where the film took place during the war and Christian Bale did a good job as John Connor. I think the biggest issue most poeple had with it was that there was too much focus on Marcus compared to John. Granted it was still an amazing film.
I think the Terminator franchise would be in good shape now if they'd kept along with this story. It felt fresh and original but also like it cared about the source material. Every movie since has felt like a mad-dash scrambled "hit the reset button, maybe it'll work this time!"
