- Happy Halloween month! For this spooky season we're heading to Dartmoor National Park to explore as many myths, legends and hauntings that we can.
We got a little distracted at the start by pixieland, where they produce clay models of gnomes and pixies. Next we head to Wiseman's Woods to learn about the folklore at this unique forest.
We then headed to our hostel at YHA Dartmoor, before heading to Bellever Forest to search around the Lych Way, otherwise known as the Corpse Road.
Next we headed towards Belstone to take part in our first ever wild camp at scary tor. A truly spooky experience!
Finally we go to Lydford Gorge to search for white lady falls, one of the only haunted waterfalls in the UK

A haunted Waterfall!? Omg yes, boo at paying! Property is theft! White Lady falls was beautiful 😍 the prices...definitely the most scary thing in the video 😱 😨
Thanks for sharing your trip with us, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 🗺 👍 ❤️
Love and hugs 🤗
Large landholders, the scariest thing of them all!
Devils Tor with it's huge menhir (standing stone) would have been a better alternative to being scared of a farmer, long walk and a bit remote possibly for your first wild camp. Lydford Gorge is a magical place, being local and knowing a few secrets I can't say I've ever paid, lol. Good little tour.
Awh man we didn't know Devils tor was a thing! That would have been such a good suggestion! Lydford gorge was amazing! It's always the way, I know a few spots around us where we can get in without paying 😂 thanks for watching!
Beautiful and peaceful place to walk around amazing view of nature thank sfor sharing
Thanks so much!
Be back soon for a full watch Tom, Hannah ❤️ 🧚♂️🧚♀️
We'll see you soon!
Hi, Tom and Hannah,
Finally, I see you, two together..
Ahhhh, Tom. are you going to be a "Viking"?
I am not familiar with "Pixieland." How are they different from garden gnomes?
Hmm Tom, it's not nice to laugh at Hannah. She almost tripped over..LOL
Well done. It was a lovely Haunted story.
Nice to have you, two back...🥰🥰🍁🍁🚣♀🚣♀
Hello! Yeah the last two videos have been very Hannah focused!
I have since had a haircut 😅 just let it grow out a little bit
Pixies are a lot more mischievous than Gnomes, often purposefully leading travellers astray!
It's good to have both of us back, thanks so much for the lovely comment! ❤️
And we are back! Hahaha Pixie Land! 😆 and eeek, Pixie Land 😱
Wasscalings wabbits, such a shame to hear hear about Wistmens woods, why cant peopel leave things as they find them 🌳 🪵
Nice Witcher shout Hannah 👌
We were driving along and Hannah saw it got me to pull over so we could check it out. I bet they saved all the creepy ones till last! 🧚♀️
Awesome video :)
Looks like a very nice national park! Love the waterfalls.
Thank you! It's such an awesome national park, can't believe we hadn't been before then!
Great video loved the Dwarfs. The woods looked great. Agree that things can look different. All those stone circles would love to visit someday. Take care M&T
Thank you! They were a lot of fun. Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks, great video. Lovely scenery and myths 👻
Thanks Carl! Glad you enjoyed!
You two are so cute together.
Very well filmed and interesting video.
Thank you :)
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vid guys 🙏 …beware the hairy hand 😱😱😱😱
Ahhhhhhhh the hairy hands! It's certainly a unique legend 😂 There's actually a really interesting episode about the hairy hands on the Dark Histories podcast if you guys wanted to learn a little more
Hi guys. Stumbled across this video and watched the whole thing.
I have been wild camping on Dartmoor for around 6 years and have had a channel documenting this for around 3 years.
Your video particularly peaked my interest as I am just starting to introduce a paranormal aspect to some of my videos and I’m looking to visit and camp at some of the moors most haunted spots.
I saw five WWII clad soldiers near to Nuns Cross farm last year during a camp and they vanished into thin air😱
Subbed👍
All the best. Al.
Hey there, thanks so much! It was a really fun adventure to some of the haunted spots in Dartmoor (Though there are so many it was hard to choose which ones to focus on!) Also our first time in Dartmoor, we'll definitely be back. Thanks for the sub!
This was so good! Very interesting about the ladies stone circle as the story is almost identical to the 9 ladies circle in the Peak District 🤔🤔 Well done on your wild camp, we are yet to try it 🏕️
Thanks guys! It was such an awesome adventure. No way? We'll have to check nine ladies out when we finally manage to make it up to the Peak District!
The wild camp was Hannah's first one ever, I've done it a couple of times on long distance hikes. But we've never done one together, we'd really recommend it. It's really freeing, I can see why people do it!
I have the same cook kit! 😃 it does me fine, stone circles were great x congrats on your first wild camp 🏕🤗🤗🤗🤗 glad you enjoyed it x
It's helped us on the Cotswold way and the Pembrokeshire coast path and it's still going strong! Might not be as quick to boil as a jetboil. But it works just fine!
Hello may dear friend ❤️ Thank you for the great video 👍 29 like. Peace and kindness ❣️🙏🙏 Hello from Ukraine.
Thank you!
You are not alone! Eek 😬
Spooky. It did add an extra level of creepiness to it! 👻
Hi 👋 I live on Dartmoor (just down the rode from Whistmans Wood) and love all the folklore surrounding it ❤ I caught the hairy hands on film, absolute fact 😂. I’ve never walked the lych way, I think I’ll save that for Halloween. My nephew works at Lydford Gorge, It is such a lovely walk, the Devils Cauldron is my favourite part of the walk, you got some great footage ❤. Lovely vlog guys xx
Hi there! 👋 Thank you so much! It was our first time down on Dartmoor and it was incredible, we can't wait to go back!
We'd love to do the entirety of the Lych Way one day
wow beautiful spot..great video friend, big like. greetings friend
Thank you!
Hairy hands and Pixes, the number one excuse for not handing your homework in! ✍️ 🧚♀️
Glad you got to see soem Darty Ponies too 🐎
Excited for your first wild camp guys, well done! Love the 9 stones story, and the brothers too! 🏕 ❤️
What did you make of your first Darty camp and experience? Another cracking video, top notch footage and editing 👏 👌 👍
Miisss, I swear the pixies stole my homework!!
It was really good! I think we'd definitely do it again!
I wild camped in Dartmoor years ago. before I went read hundreds of stories about the hairy hands, and the headless horseman and all that toot. went anyway - slept like a baby. then went pen y fan in Wales and wild camped at base near some stones and was taken to what can only be described as hades or 'the underworld'. only praying to god twice brought be back to terra firma.
Hello from Australia ❤️😊👋🚐supporting your channel from the Tea gang☕️
Hello! Welcome to the channel! The tea gang are a very cool bunch. That should be the name of their community 😂
Great video, gLad you came to visit the moors here. There is loads of places on Dartmoor with lots of myths for example crazy well pool which has had multiple deaths in it
We heard about this pool and were very tempted to go but we just ran out of time! We'll have to return for sure!
If you follow the Lych way up the Tavy, before you reach the Cleave you'll be at Coffin Wood Tor. There's a scary one for you connected to the path where the bodies were brought past.
No way? That sounds really interesting! Now we're back in the UK we desperately want to get back to Dartmoor!
