Good video. But this 16 inch M1 McBook Pro is actually 1 pound LIGHTER than my old reliable 2013 15-inch MBP. So it’s weight is noticeably lighter for me. It’s also a wee bit smaller in size. AND it’s a mad crazy upgrade in all other aspects.

I have a girlfriend who had a big lap top and I really just hated her moving it from room to room so I just ordered the 14 Pro Max . I’ll get a bigger monitor if I need it. Great video, thank you.

This video is perfect timing! I'm looking to buy a new laptop specifically for video editing and I've been trying to decide between the 14" and 16". Thank you, Tobias!

Great, I love the 16", but as, daily, I use it on the go, I go for the 14" (also considering the 15 AIR, even with less specs). Thank you to help me,

Personally I find the feeling that the 16in lacks portability is due to the chassis shape, not the dimensions or weight. If it has the curved edges like the 3rd Gen MacBooks, then it would be much easier to swing around quickly. with the current design, even the 14in almost certainly requires 2 hands to pick up from a table, which drastically reduces how portable it feels
    Nice vid

It's because of performance and their components or else apple won't leave their edge style and m1 air style

I got great use out of my MBP 2012 for mobile use and iMac 2015 as my home base, both Apple refurb - I finally decided to upgrade to the 16 inch MBP M1 2022 fully spec'ed out as my new home base and 13 inch Mac Air M1 2020 for everyday mobile use, both Apple refurb. Expect to be using these for the next 5-7+ years, like the idea that the 16 inch can be mobile too if I wish. Only wish the MagSafe was replaced with an extra USB-C on the right side. Could not be happier with the performance thus far.

It’s time to order a new MacBook at my job and really been struggling to come to a conclusion regarding the size. I currently have a 13“ for work and a private 15“ (the good ol' 2015). Tough call, but I’ll likely go with 16“ 🤔

your MacBook freezing is actually a hardware issue with the lid sensor, the MacBook thinks the lid is shut so it prevents Mouse and keyboard from working, its covered under warranty. pretty conn exists on the m2 pro as well..

I have a 16" M1 MBP with 64 gigs of ram and 2 Tb of storage. I use it with an external monitor. So far, no issues with mine. I use it a lot for Photoshop and Lightroom Classic, and it's buttery smooth. I've had mine well over a year, so far so good.

Personally, I don't like the keyboard of the M2 (I just don't like the sound of the clicks)
The old model (15", 2013, i7) felt much more solid and softer.
    But nic video 👍

I have 16 M1 Max, 64 ram and 1tb ssd. I’m pro photographer and use it strictly for photography. But I have problems with it. When I open Psb files, it takes between 2 and 3 minutes for them to open in Ps. Psd files generally are also not snappy, it takes between 10 and 20 seconds for them to open.
In addition to that, when I’m in the process of saving the open file, and then in the same time go to create a smart object, a dialog box pops up with the forward moving progress bar, it takes about 4-5 minutes each time for this to finish. Can’t to anything but wait.
I tried resetting and redownloading photoshop. But didn’t help.

My 16” MBP 💻, in a sleeve, fits easily in the backpack 🎒 I had for my old PC 15”… it’s also 50% thinner and nearly half the weight of my old 15” PC laptop. I guess it’s all relative, but I’d rather have the bigger screen, better speakers, thermals, and battery life 🔋 of the 16” over the 14”. There ARE differences. I also have never gotten near even half filling my base 512GB drive, and the base Pro chip handles everything flawlessly. Save money and stay away from the Max chip and higher specs. Sure, some folks need those, but they know who they are, and the average user doesn’t need it. Also, take advantage of the price-drops, especially on the 14” model 😅 it’s an amazing value right now. Don’t wait for the M2 Pros…….

If you look at ifixit, the speakers are nearly identical between the 14 & 16. Same bass and trebles, the mids have a different shapes and slightly slimmer.

14“ all day everyday! Especially , now where the pricing is that low. Far better screen, faster, better sound and more ports

Is it better to upgrade ram than ssd for longevity of your device? I could get M1 Pro 16 and thinking if I should upgrade ram to 32gb or upgrade ssd to 1tb. Any suggestion regarding for the lifespan of a machine to last as long as possible

Great Vid. Same thing happened to me on my old 2019 Intel16 inch Macbook Pro. I'm about to purchase a 16 inch M1 Macbook Pro tomorrow, I'm bypassing the M2. How much did it cost to get the keyboard fixed. I'm debating on whether to repair my old one or just use it as a desktop in clamshell mode from now on.

Possibly your froze issues are related with a software/firmware update.

I'm really stuck what would people recommend the 14 inch m2 pro MacBook pro or the 16 inch m1 pro MacBook pro the 16 inch I like it cause it's bigger has a better battery and is overall nicer to look at where as the 14 is great but the smaller size and battery tips me off a bit the 16 inch m2 pro is quite out of my price range hence I'm not looking to buy it

Can't decide to buy 14 or 16 for
1 - daily usage and also for instances when i need to bring it to any other place, or cafe or hotel.... ??
2 - also for my work i usually will need to open 10 or 15 Separate browsers at the same time , like not tabs but full explorers .... So i think i am gonna take 32gb of ram, but also was thinking maybe to pick 16 inch , because i think the size of the chase would prevent it from heating much... and to rest arms on keyboard , a i right?

I hope you do, base model ??? really???? on an already expensive laptop. Skimping is not smart.
I always laugh at people who criticize the size... It's NOT noticable. it's not a problem, it's not too big. It's portable, its fantastic. I was worried before i got it but 100% it's nonsense when people claim this. Your reason for not bringing it is because of the power brick? Who the heck carries a brick around with a m1 laptop? It's not even needed and if it DID bother you there are so many GaN chargers that are super small you could bring instead. Silly complaint.

  • @ImpactSpace

🤣🤣🤣This is a silly comment but funny. He got a great point and I have the 16in myself. It does make you hesitate to take it places. Also, when you pull it out in public, everybody notices that you got a BIG laptop.
