It's insane watching her grow; in confidence, as an artist, content creator and in her ideas over the years! 😀
The heart u guys gave disapeared after I edited the comment, and my replies keep getting deleted, would appreciate if you guys could re-like it 🙏
Love Nori going swimming in the lake at Cabin 5 and that he is just down for anything given he is with his people.
PERFECT video for an October weekend, going to watch this with my hot cocoa ☕
i was just thinking about that😅
HOW DARE YOU DELAY THE "SKJERA BAGERA!" hahahahahahaha awesome vid
I WAS SO CONFUSED
I restarted the video cos I thought I'd missed it😢😂😂
I said it and then felt sad she didnt said it back
@@lawriekay same 😂
This is absolutely my favourite kind of videos from you guys, these kinda vids with the staying in the nature for a long period always make me feel so happy, keep it up guys!
I'm so glad that you're taking breaks from huge mega-projects to do some good old-fashioned traveling & painting. Happy you're getting back to your roots from time to time.
The neat thing about this painting is that if you look at each place and its color pallette and mood, it actually changes your painting (which I believe was the point of this). The first place had this golden sunset and amber vibe and then as you transitioned to each place, that cabins mood and color were added to the painting. Creating a sort of collage effect.
Martina, that painting is incredible 😍
Watching Norrie enjoying all his adventures was absolutely magical! He would make a great kids book character ❤
This is probably the most chaotic cabin video I've ever seen 😂 They're usually all about the calm and cosy vibes. Loved the final painting
I‘m so fricking happy that I found your channel! It’s been so great to watch your projects because your not only amazingly creative and very skilled, but also very funny! Please, never stop making arts and crafts, you always improve my and many others mood when watching
🥹💜
Thank you for the heart, I am honored to have gotten one from you!
I think what this video proves once again, is that Norway is just the most beautiful country on earth.
That's really what my takeaway was aswell, everywhere they went is just absolutely gorgeous.
Starting off with an excellent view up Martina's nostrils and marsh coffee.....my Sunday is complete
you do you dude 🤣🤣
A few of those had me going "damn, that just needs a sauna" xDDDD
And then I went "oooh, Moomin mug!"
I'm such a cliche, honestly.
Really pretty painting, and really cool video!
That might be my favorite painting she's ever done too. I had my doubts though, when she pitched the idea in the beginning. I mean, she's done this kind of painting with dragons over and over, and I thought it'd just be the same. Don't get me wrong, that's good! But the aesthetic of this particular painting seemed to be influenced by each environment she was in in each cabin. It started with a bunch of warm colors and gradually got more winterized. That layering and changing as she went along really added depth to the entire piece. Amazing work.
I gonna try that Challenge, but staying in a single one and just staying like a type of Mystical legend than only farm, live outside the social locations, only playing games and drawing.
21:42 doggo casually having a wail of a time swimming lol
It's unusual to find a Sea Serpent that far inland. The painting really captured the essence of the Dragon (for those not familiar with dragon lore, some species of dragon lay their eggs in the sea, where they grow into sea serpents. After a time, they build a coccoon and transform into winged dragons.)
It is possible that the creature depicted is not, in fact, a dragon; it could quite possibly be a rare creature from the roots of the mountain, similar to the mythical Balrog. Or it could be a large ground worm. No one but The Maker knows this creature's origin.
Thank you, for sharing this beautiful look into another world.
Ah Martina, I love that for the last 5 years or so, your mind has translated "I want to paint" into "I need to put myself through hell to accomplish my goal" you don't make a compelling case for taking up art! 😅
PS. I will never get over how beautiful Norway is. I'll give you a new challenge. Teach a fat Scotsman with no visual imagination how to paint in ten days, as long as it's me, and I get to spend some time in Norway after.
Every time you post a video of you traveling around Norway I realize how beautiful this country must be. It's so different from what I'm used to here in southern Europe. Btw the painting is amazing as always!
Great video! That painting was wonderful. Looks like the cover of a "choose your own adventure" book I would read as a kid.
Props to Hansi for great imagery of the correct way to welcome the Norse dark season in addition to Martina excelling at "dass" reviewing (yes we use the correct term among friends) while painting us all into the spooky season
I love how each location influenced the painting (even the weather) the creative process is so cool. Apparently, I need go outside and touch grass to do art in nature. (Tbh you should've done a coffee star rating)
Hey Martina, I am always so impressed with these massive art projects you come up with. I was a little disappointed at first that you weren’t incorporating aspects from each location into the painting, but then you explained that this is part of a larger project, so I get it. Personally locations 4 and 5 felt the most inspirational (for me) I would die to spend a week in a treehouse overlooking a lake and drawing.
I love that even though Norway is much, much smaller than Australia in area, you still have great distances to travel! We also think nothing of driving for 6+ hours to get somewhere we really want to go! AMAZING painting as always Martina and props to Hansi for some truly gorgeous photography. ❤
11:23 love the bobby duke reference! ♥
What I think would be really cool is a bunch of paintings that all connect together to make a huge picture. But still work as individual paintings.
HOLY COW! the improvement is actually blowing my mind, I LOVE how it's so different from your other paintings but still has that signature Martina flair! The details in the foreground brought the whole thing home, I think this might be the most master of masterpieces! And I'm calling it now, the secret project has gotta be an art book!
Martina and Hansi never disappoints! Honestly guys I remember the days where you used to call us "nerds" LOL and throughout the years your content just got better.
I'm only 5 minutes into the video and just at your first rating but I'm impressed ... as usual. I can't wait to see the finished piece!
You should do this again in the future but add elements from each site into the painting itself. A little bit of the landscape, a cabin, sky vista, wildlife, lake, and let's not forget marsh (so you can make that delicious marsh coffee lol) Maybe have you and Hansi as the heroes, facing down an enemy (dragon, wizard king, evil giant) Really incorporate the both of you and the sites into the story. I can actually picture it. You, surrounded by a blue and pink aura, magical staff in hand. Hansi, with a pure silvery white ball of energy glowing around him, glowing sword in hand.
I'm so ready for the white cryptic set. The hoodie and the joggers were some of my favorite clothes over the last year.
Damn My signs are so featured in a Nerdforge vid at 1:30 finally living in the middle of nowhere pays off
I love it when Martina's videos are related to travel, it's a separate kind of aesthetics.✨🌿
It's just incredibly beautiful to watch this with a cup of coffee on an autumn evening, pity I don't have a cat or a dog so i can watch her videos with them :(
Off-Grid. Going full Viking again I see?
With that well-known pink-and-blue Viking hair :)
The hair is for when she dress up as Harley Quinn for her BF
That building 25:37, I would remodel it to a more tree house feature & paint it with wilderness, also love the painting.
Gives me a kick watching your offgrid painting videos, I live offgrid in a cabin in the mountains, we (my family and I) run our own power with solar panels and a generator. We used to not have wifi but we do now after saving up a bit and slowly upgrading our set up. The nearest town for groceries is a hour drive away. It's just kinda funny watching a city girl live the offgrid life when it's just everyday life for us. Also as always your skills are amazing keep up the beautiful work! Your a huge inspiration for me ❤
It was pretty funny to watch you incorporate colors and vibes from each new location. Lots of warm colors from the first cabin, tons of blues from the second, etc.
This has to be my favorite painting you've ever done so far. And I've enjoyed so many of your paintings over the years, so, bravo Martina!
Wonderfully evocative painting! I'm so envious of your adventure, as my traveling days are over... so I enjoyed being able to live through you vicariously. And Nori is such a lovely, well-behaved pup! Great video!
That hoodie looks so good in white! Sad I missed the drop for the black one
Love these types of videos where you put what is in your imagination onto canvas. Seeing the process as you change and develop your painting as you go adding and removing bits till you achieve the final piece which was awesome. I liked cabin number 2 as well but to be fair they all had their own charm
This was cool. Would love to see you try painting one giant painting combining multiple canvases together.
I love the "treehouse" cabin but my knees would hate me for staying there! Great video and a nice glimpse into Fall on your side of the world. Nori was the star of this show! Taking his little self down the trails and actually into the lake! Brave, adventurous doggo! The paints is pretty awesome as well!
Love this. These cabins are all so cool. I really need to book a vacation in Norway. The landscape looks incredible
Absolutely loved the idea of going to remote cabins and painting! Definitely would love to try doing this too!
When i was working in norway i was in charge of some of them and it was really nice to stay on them some nights. They tend to be cozy and really great isolated.
I love whenever you do videos that involve traveling! Even though its chaotic theres a chill vibe to it. Legit just laid back enjoying the whole thing! Great work artwork!!!
Really nice job! From the initial sketches and the autumn theme I thought you will be making an "autumn fight scene", in which the hero is fighting a bunch of autumn colored leaves blown up into the air in the shape of vaguely resembling a dragon/serpent creature, the leaves themselves working as scales ... But I'm not complaining! It went into an entirely different direction and the end result is just as nice, if not better.
Yay for off-grid cabins! (I'm still gonna stay at home. Much less hassle.)
I could just not stop thinking about this as nories (nory?/nori?) Story and Martina as the quirky Sidekick who involuntarily provides the Entertainment for the Trip.
Man, this is so dope. The sincere was beautiful! And ofcourse the art was perfect.
My backpack is heavy and in the next 3 seconds packing it into the Skoda😁 And I love how you managed to incorporate elements from each cabin stay. The marsh, the spooky tree line, the lake and of course the snow on the mountains. Another fine artwork from Lady Martina of the Nerdforge first of the name.❤
I love these small-scale videos more than the ones where you make big things (rooms, etc.)
Wow the nature in Norway is really breathtaking. Great cabins and fantastic journey. Wonderful video.
I SAW THE SWEDEN
Another amazing painting!! Would love to see you do another like this but having to put different aspects from each location in the piece.
The "very cute, very demure, very mindful," made me smile so much. And ngl, cabin five was just all of my Minecraft houses I built when I was nine come to life.
Cabins 1,4 and 5 are my favorites such amazing locations
It's easy to forget how beautiful Norway is when you live in it. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! And awesome painting to boot!
Did anyone else notice how she put that area into her painting? When you keep changing the sky I thought, the sun was the first one, cloudy the second one and the fog the fourth one. Lol. Beautiful painting regardless. This was fun getting to experience different locations around where you live. Thank you for inspiring others. It makes for a more beautiful world. ❤
Not gonna lie, I have watched the 7 days in a cabin video an obscene amount of times so you can just IMAGINE my excitement at this!
I would love to paint in every single one of those cabins. The tree house one does speak to me. Especially after seeing Nóri taking a lil dip.
22:31 nature was really showing off with that time lapse at cabin#5.
Right!! Main character energy
It looked like Nori was having more fun than anyone else. Great painting!
I love that Martina is such a goofball for the camera - and as always another fabulous work of art
The last one was so cozy, i would totally LIVE THERE FOR MY WHOLE LIFE!!!
Incredible, everything: a picture, cabins, vibe and everything
Great way to get a 2 week vacation out of your job. I thought you were going to do a separate painting for each location. Also, I thought you might paint the cabins rather than the landscape. Definitely the most interesting travelogue video I've ever seen. This makes me realize that renting a cabin would be a better vacation than the usual hotel in town or BnB thing.
2:30 THANK GOD! I couldn't breathe!
had to restart the video a couple of times because i thought i just missed it.
My entire body was tense
22:37 wow that's an absolutely amazing timelaps!
Wow this painting is so beautiful and so cool this video is pretty unique the cabins looks so cuteeeee
Absolutely love this challenge and exploration style video. Would like to see you both explore more of Norway 🏞️🥶😁
The final painting is amazing (as always, you're a freaking good artist!) but the views. Damn, you live in a beautiful country with such nice landscapes! Loved the video format, I hope you guys enjoyed this two weeks out and about.
PS: That last cabin looked awesome!!
Ooo new hoody design?! I am planning on visiting Norway in the not too distant future and will definitely try out some remote cabins!
Nori looked like one happy doggo, running through that snow!
1:58 the shadow on the cabin scared me so bad loll 😭
Watching your painting come to life was mesmerizing! All cabins and scenery were gorgeous! Especially the tree house! Thanks for sharing with us!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love the painting! Cabin #2 looks like a Bob Ross winter cabin scene.
Definitely paused the video to give my e-mail details to a hecking good pupper.
Nóri is truly a blessed doggo
Interesting idea, looks like you guys had fun, painting came out really well, I agree it's probably one of the if not the best painting you've done.
Also love that Martina was inside painting during the rain and Hansi just 'well.. guess i'll go outside and get some b-roll of the rain' :I
Mad hilarious to me that Martina's "mid" cabin with a lake and the woods looks like a fairy dreamland to me. Finland must be so stunning she's just spoiled for natural beauty. XD
Cabins in Norway are like places with no reservations, no bnb etc., just places where You can hang out when You are on a track, going somewhere and You must have a stop?
This is like below the grade of mountain shelters in poland, without anyone looking at them?
Great cabins then, I think I need to go somewhere into mountains to check how it looks like. Maybe in the spring more than winter...
You have to reserve these, there are links for that in the description :)
I hope Norway's tourism board sponsored you for this excellent adventure - who doesn't want to stay in one of those cool cabins now?! ❤
The best kind of vacation is one you're really excited to go on and really excited to come back from.
That painting is beautiful as always and there's enough detail in that giant serpent to make it nightmare fuel for a month.
I've been trying to get back to painting on a regular basis. This sounds like a wonderful way to jump start creativity.
It really was!! 100% recommend
I felt very nervous for Martina when she made marsh water coffee with only outhouse facilities available.
I've never been an outhouse type gal. I might've enjoyed one or two of them back before I got old and unable to walk far. I did like the places and the painting. We have an Airbnb in central Texas that are 'tree houses.' They look really cool, but my knees tell me that stairs are not my friends anymore.
Are y'all bringing back the Cryptic Hoodie & Jogger set? Just curious! Love the video and hope to do something like this one day!
Omg absolutely gorgeous nature and equally incredible painting!!!
Nori is living his best little doggy life and I love it! ❤
aw yeah! I've been praying for a new painting video for ages, glad to know the lovely people at the forge are reading my diary as I sleep! 😀
0:12 TAKE ME WITH YOU!!
platonically of course 😅
7:53 doesn't get any more spooky than that.😂
15:54 four!? that birds nest bunks it up to 5/5... okay 4.5. fun fact bird poop is white because they can't urinate. 🌈🌟
16:32 don't fall in it if it can do that then😂
I like the painting especially the very not planed UFO hiding in the clouds! Can you see it? the creatures right (as you look at it) horn is right in the middle of the quote unquote UFO and then you have the spinning disc under the dome. I love how open to interpretation art can be!
love the insane views of the landscapes
Looks like such a nice trip! Also I think for the indoor toilet in 4 you mean compostable not combustible. Combustable means something that easily explodes.
Incinerating toilets do exist.
Just used the wrong word 😅 oops. Incineration toilet is correct yes
It looks like Nidhogg the Serpent. He's taunting the warrior to fight him by yelling "Come at me or are you chicken bro!". The Warrior yells back "You called me Chicken! By law we must battle!"
As always, it's an incredible and entertaining video. You guys have convinced me to visit Norway for my next holiday break.
I love how the American dream of a cabin on a mountain lake (I know this is more likely a fjord) is 2 out of 5 stars with Marina. Having just visited Norway, I get it, that is mid there; but still shocking.
You are one of the unique youtube channels I like to watch. I love your picture and last cabin.
OOOOOOH! I love those trees with this mist around them!
We really need these kinds of videos. I loooovvvvveeeee itttttttt
the last one was my favorite, just so cozy
What a gorgeous painting! 😍 And of course beautiful locations. I'm envious! Also loved little Nori swimming 🤭
Beautiful scenery, nice rustic cabins, beautiful art work and very enjoyable commentary!!!
