Mike did a wonderful work.
360 would be proud if they see this designs
Amen to that! 👊🏻
Love all the designs, but definitely number two is my favorite. It just really different and I love how clean it looks. Plus the rounded corners! Looks super unique!
I just love the competition. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the new video! I’m looking forward to seeing what other content you post! Always good to learn as much as you can!
You have become my favorite channel for design I’m a web dev and I’m starting to get into design because I suck at it but seeing you video helps a lot men
#1 is plain amazing, love it!
Great idea for developing, sharing, and learning design ideas and skills. Thanks for this video.
Mike really did a fantastic job. Well done to all the designers as well
If they are resigning real websites, do any of the winners ever go to the company and say "Hey, I have already redesigned your website as part of a design challenge, and my design won -- would you be interested in having this design for x dollars?"
#2 for me. #1 was nice also. Great job to all in this
These are lovely designs
this is so fun to watch
Really like Mike's design
last one is my fav
Most websites are viewed on phones. We need to see more unique mobile designs
I like the creative take on spelling "Huston's!" by the #1 submission. Nice.
2nd. place is awesome!
Good justification
Too me all of them are worthy of being number #1. I like your judgement for picking the winner in that its nice and clean with the right touches of call to action buttons. What I like about #2 and #3 is the rounded edges and the arrows and pointers that matches the color scheme. Im sure that it was hard to pick a winner. Honestly, I would have picked #2 because of the complexity of the design and the uniqueness of the style. But #1 choice is perfect for the real estate industry.
If #4 was a winner, lord knows what the losers submissions were 🫥
Good video! It should be interesting to have also the mobile design
I would love to see how these designs would be made responsive.
I hope I can find a small group of designer like me to discuss and do challenge together
Man I feel the same way about programming, when I be good enough on design I’ll let you know
If I have time between the office projects I would gladly do that, feel free to contact me.
Thanks for such a great video!
(just lower the background music a couple of notches)👍👍
I particularly liked the designs of the first and second placed submissions.
However, there is a glaring typo in the winning submission's call-to-action button in the hero section (you'd never know I was new to this!), which undermines the professionalism of the business. Easy to fix, but ...
do you have have tips and advice for new/college designers
Nice
Mike definitely deserved first place
I really think the designs need to be made more consistent.
I think the second place was the most promising but
Is having the most errors. The spacing in buttons, gaps between blocks, radius of the blocks, arrows not the same sizing… it is just all off and not the same. Also a lot of content is not aligned properly.
As a designer it kills me to see that this is not mentioned.
So that these designs are better made in the future.
Again I think the second place was the most promising but first place was the best in having more consistency but was missing a footer. Also missing the yellow accents. It just looked not finished in my opinion.
If these types of designes win these competitions it makes me a bit sad actually. It questions the lack of capability of all the other designers that enter the competition.
I am not trying to be negative but I want all the designers be
better next time and have a consistent eye for detail. Gaps, paddings, choice of text, radius, alignment, sizing of shapes and more.
Good luck next time y’all.
I kind of agree. I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts on the style of the designs. I think quite a lot of them felt like tech/SaaS websites and lost that real-estate edge which is what people expect from that industry. The site that got closest to achieving that "edge" in my opinion was the honourable mentioned, 4th place. I'd be interesting in hearing your thoughts.
Peyton, the winning design looks great. But how would that design translate into a real webpage? I recreated the design in Photoshop but realized the hero section will look odd with its left and right margins of white space relative to current design trends that take the hero section to the edge of the page.
With bootstrap or tailwind the css for this margin could be a 3 or 4 () which would create the white space on each side. It's similar to css code for "cards" in development (which rounds the corners) which helps to break up the information on a page.
What about a video on a fun interactive website? The sketch London has a wild one. How can you make then fun, informative and still user friendly
Sketch's website is frustrating as hell to use.
Hey there! I've got a question: should I or should I not to mention "portfolio" section in my web as a newbie web design agency? (I mean I can upload projects of my contractors, but I guess clients will find out)
No, I would instead start building some “practice projects” that you can use as portfolio pieces!
@@PaytonClarkSmith thanks a lot ✊🏻
how do aspiring designers join? would love to test my skills against the seasoned designers out there!
Two spelling mistakes on the winner's landing page ('Bellow' and 'Huston')? As a potential client, that would ring alarm bells. What else is the designer not paying attention to?
So the design with the least character and unoriginal look turns out to be the winner cuz it's more corporate
how much is the first place price?
There are ai tools which are like chatgpt for website which can creat websites with just a text promt
are web designers gonna lose their jobs? is it still valuable to become web designer? Im worried
How can i enter the challenge ?
How to join in competition?
Hello, I'm seeking your assistance in revamping my school management software project. I've invested significant effort into it already, but I've noticed a decline in my comfort level over time. I find myself stuck in a loop where each attempt to enhance the design seems to make it worse than before. I'm particularly struggling with decisions related to color, typography, and spacing. Could you please help me redesign the software?
How can I participate
www.Paitpro.com
Bruh 3rd place is so average
I want to see 12th place lol
Oh so the winner delivered a design where they misspelled “Houston” in the hero section and won? Oh ok
They also misspelt Below, as well
I am a stickler for correct spelling. Your winner misspelled "Huston" near the top of the page. Anyone living in Houston, or even the whole state of Texas may look at that and cringe....
These are the winners?
Yep!
hello sir, I really enjoyed the video and learned new things about website I also want to join the competition and show my creativity plz help me out to join the challenge
