I have watched all your videos. I am a fellow product UI UX designer and have found all your points to be valid. Being a designer myself, it may be tempting to want to make everything visually appealing and slick, but when usability has been lost on the journey, I question wether I have added value into the world or simply pretended to improve a website. UX over everything!
Hey man, want to thank you. I'm just some fing guy making a couple business websites. Since I'm obsessed with (as close as I can get to) perfection, I'm doing a lot of research and kicking tires. Your videos have helped me immensely. Several aha moments that broke me though barriers.
Great vid as usual. I hope you can cover the landing page type as well. Somethings likes the correct way to make a landing page or how to make it SEO friendly.
I'm so glad I found your channel! Your content is well structured, well explained and interesting from start to finish. I especially like that you take the time to explain why certain decisions are bad instead of just listing points. Kudos and I hope that your channel blow up soon, because I believe you deserve it!
I have binged your content and improved my website 10 fold. I still have quite a bit of work but you have instilled me with a level of confidence which may be dangerous 😂l
Hi ... just want to say a huge thank you for your channel ... as an exec coach building a new website I'm finding your videos so informative and helpful ... thank you!! 🙏
Man, all your videos are pure gold. They have taught me a ton and more importantly greatly improved my approach to web design. My only ding is - YOU HAVE TO MAKE VIDEOS MORE OFTEN!! Keep up the great work -- it's truly appreciated!
Great content!!! Made me want to check out your website. I did get a bit frustrated that the link is not in the description, though!! Since we're talking about navigation, i think it was worth mentioning 😅
Thank you for creating this content, just simple and to the point in an effective format. Looking at starting getting my own clients and I think I was shying away from it because of having to design my own stuff instead of just building.
Aaron, as someone who's just starting out in web design, you're videos have been AMAZING. Straight to the point, full of information and explained in an easy-to-follow manner. I have to say that your website is super well optimized. I'm halfway across the world from you (Malaysia) and it loads super fast on my end. That is also the case for all the websites in your portfolio. Do you have any videos that you want to release on how you make such fast websites?
Your funny, your non chalet humor gave me a couple intellectual chuckles of laughter lol My Name is Jordan as well and i do websites, im a tune in more often, keep up the good work
Just recently found your channel, I really like it, you think perhaps a series about us we share our agencies or business websites and you just tell us if we had done smething wrong? I would like to see that from your POV.
Awesome video. Two quick questions, one, what can you replace sliders on the above the fold section with, they seem kind of overused, but do they have an alternative? Two, if you actually have a scroll down indicator on the above the fold section, that clearly contrasts with it's background, is there still a fault in using 100vh?
IMO, the slider is cool but also a performance issue. If the images are not well optimized, the slider will be a bad experience for any users access for the very first time. Both designers and developers have to put more efforts into this. Video may be the most relevant alternative that I can think of atm. Also it is harder to control as well as the usage of CPU/GPU may affect the performance in a bad way. About the scroll down indicator, I believe that not many people notice that one. If you make it noticeable, the other contents may loose the attraction. So that, I agree that taking 3/4 of the browser's height is the best choice.
Are you able to elaborate as to why it’s beneficial to keep the text (text + CTA) section on the left instead of vice versa. I would think that an image would be more beneficial to draw the eye on the left then scan right because of hierarchy. Just seeing if there is any difference for the choice?
You have great content, straight to the point and precise. But,,,, not every audience is okay with cursing or vulgar language. It's the only thing that might keep some of us away from your content☹
Making my website I have called myself ole dummy a hundred and one times. This dude is the bees knees. He can say whatever however. Softies can move around.
You had me at "I encourage you to remember that people are dumb". I'm a dedicated subscriber now.

Amazing content! Binge-watching everything. There is a severe lack of UX in WordPress content on youtube. This channel is a real gem!
I totally agree with your comment! This channel is incredible!

Putting ads on the hero section? - a big no!! please don't do that, it's horrible UX and SEO practice.

Thank you for the breakdown!!! Learned a lot.
Very informative, thank you
Very helpful, thanks!
The video didn’t include many e-commerce sites. How to approach above-the-fold for such sites?
Thanks for the great content.
Just recently found your channel, I really like it, you think perhaps a series about us we share our agencies or business websites and you just tell us if we had done smething wrong? I would like to see that from your POV.

I checked out your site, looks pretty cool. But how did you make the mobile hero section different than the desktop one?
17 minutes? Uau I love you keep it up!
I rarely comment on videos.
But this detailed lesson left me no choice.

USA 🇺🇸
I wonder if one of the reasons why web users spend 80% of the time above the fold is because of static navigation bars...
Hi
I love your channel.
What about puting instagram feed on your website? Yay or nay ?
I encourage u to remember that people are dumb 😂😂😂😂... Hilarious
You should maybe cut off the "that's dumb" parts, when probably some of your viewers might think its a legitimate question. Makes you look uptight.
