Yes. The midi drums always limiting the artistic sound of otherwise great music. I remember back in the day guitarist giving me cds and saying, check out this song I wrote. Drum machine all the way through. It was all about the guitar to them. Not the whole “picture”. Obviously though, steve knows this and has had lots lf superb drums, drummers, and drumming. I guess this particular song is an experiment using sounds.
80’s players loved their really tight robotic like rhythm section with so much going on.

Gotta say this is the only song what I've heard on this album I like , the rest is boring meandering nonsense that goes nowhere , I've read comments it's as good as his early stuff , it's probably more technical I don't know but I just don't like it.
Greenish blues is a beautiful and complex composition, one the best of the record too.
This was a bit of a BS... I was expecting to watch him play this hybrid monster.
