I've always struggled with dancers pose and warrior 3, I now put my blocks on the highest level and put my hands on them and this allows me to do a one leg balance where my body is parallel to the floor, more warrior than dancers but it still allows me to participate and I'm still improving my balance. I love using blocks, straps, bolsters, cushions etc because they help so much! It's tough when you have long legs and/or body and short arms, blocks and straps are a godsend. Thanks beautiful 🧘♀️🧘♀️💕💕💕
Very useful, I have used an exercise ball at my desk for many years and probably receive a lot of spine movement so that using my block on the flat side is so relaxed that I could fall asleep over it ( I'm 75) so I wondered if I could stack them etc. so I see that I can use the one on a different side and maybe get enough discomfort that I can expect more results : ). I find that my usual agility seems to be improving just with the block and knee up curls at bed time. Now I've got a plethora of new uses! Thanks
I usually use blocks and other props for Yin or restorative. During more active classes I'll resort to using tented fingers or fists to modify suppose I lack mobility due to injuries.
Awesome video, my wife and I are going to start doing yoga together & I needed a good idea on some ways to ease into some of the poses. It’s easy to get discouraged in the beginning. Your video is super helpful.
Thanks bought a yoga block and never used it; Now I'm here and its looks maaaaaad easy :D. I'm trying to do a forward split so I can pop this booty. Sally Mae is real and I'm unemployed -_-
Finally! Somebody demonstrates a passive stretch with the block under their sacrum. She still missed several really great compression stretches like the ones for thighs, groin, triceps, deltoids/teres etc and she never mentions the psoas muscle or twists to the side and rolls off of her sacrum into the meat of her upper glutes - she’s not quite in the ballpark but at least she’s ballpark adjacent
She sounds and looks so much like Jackie from that 70s show! Great info I ordered my blocks today.
Shut up Jackie
Julia Thank so much for showing how to use the blocks. Please keep making other videos like this one. Namaste!!!!
This is great Julia! Blocks are considerably helpful for many yoga poses! ☺️
Thank you! These are very helpful and I appreciate that you addressed the hunched over positions from being at the computer or looking at the phone.

My favorite use of blocks is when I do forward splits. Using the blocks to support my hands for balance.
Great video.
Being in the later part of my 5th decade, modifications in flexibility are important.
Many Thanks.
Shanti
this is exactly what i was looking for!! you are an awesome yogini!!
How about a 20 or 30 minute yoga practice with blocks?
That first one alone cracked my back like a crab leg 🥴 felt so good!
Thank you so much! The pose at 9:00 just relieved so much tightness. I do the pose without the blocks a lot but never thought to use them. 💗
Thank you! This is just what I needed

Just bought blocks and needed to know how to use them so thanks
Very helpful thank you very much, big kiss from Argentina
I love your sleeve!
How many people tipped over the vertical block and smashed down?
i love her voice!!!!
Which yoga block to buy...foam, cork or wooden? I'm a beginner but I have to use the same for long!
Cork. It is sustainable when harvesting, antimicrobial, more grip when wet.
@@lauraholmes9353cork is also less vulnerable to cat scratching and puppy chewing.
Спасибо, Дорогая 🤩
What is the first pose called?
Great stretch I just got some yoga blocks :)
Goodness gracious.

Let's focus on positive.

I appreciate the lack of music. Rarely does it add to the video
Impressive
Its a good thing Julias voice is so relaxing because 'Ouch' 🧘♂️ ✌x♡
The video couldn't wait until the teacher wasn't sick and sniffling?
She has a look of emma watson.
stretching hay guide
Deathly Hallows tattoo?
"underneath the sports bra line" -- how would that translate to men who don't wear them? like lower mid-back i guess but that's less specific.
Just put a bra on my dude
Should you do some warm ups first? And you have a disembodied voice in your house 😄

Could probably get away with house bricks.
