This is great Julia! Blocks are considerably helpful for many yoga poses! ☺️

Thank you! These are very helpful and I appreciate that you addressed the hunched over positions from being at the computer or looking at the phone.

I've always struggled with dancers pose and warrior 3, I now put my blocks on the highest level and put my hands on them and this allows me to do a one leg balance where my body is parallel to the floor, more warrior than dancers but it still allows me to participate and I'm still improving my balance. I love using blocks, straps, bolsters, cushions etc because they help so much! It's tough when you have long legs and/or body and short arms, blocks and straps are a godsend. Thanks beautiful 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️💕💕💕

Very useful, I have used an exercise ball at my desk for many years and probably receive a lot of spine movement so that using my block on the flat side is so relaxed that I could fall asleep over it ( I'm 75) so I wondered if I could stack them etc. so I see that I can use the one on a different side and maybe get enough discomfort that I can expect more results : ). I find that my usual agility seems to be improving just with the block and knee up curls at bed time. Now I've got a plethora of new uses! Thanks

My favorite use of blocks is when I do forward splits. Using the blocks to support my hands for balance.

I usually use blocks and other props for Yin or restorative. During more active classes I'll resort to using tented fingers or fists to modify suppose I lack mobility due to injuries.

Awesome video, my wife and I are going to start doing yoga together & I needed a good idea on some ways to ease into some of the poses. It’s easy to get discouraged in the beginning. Your video is super helpful.

Which yoga block to buy...foam, cork or wooden? I'm a beginner but I have to use the same for long!

    • @lauraholmes9353

Cork. It is sustainable when harvesting, antimicrobial, more grip when wet.

Finally! Somebody demonstrates a passive stretch with the block under their sacrum. She still missed several really great compression stretches like the ones for thighs, groin, triceps, deltoids/teres etc and she never mentions the psoas muscle or twists to the side and rolls off of her sacrum into the meat of her upper glutes - she’s not quite in the ballpark but at least she’s ballpark adjacent

"underneath the sports bra line" -- how would that translate to men who don't wear them? like lower mid-back i guess but that's less specific.
