I absolutely love the Rain and Scorpion kameo. Damn near every move Rain has lets me use Scorpion to to increase his damage potential, having a 42-26% bnb is great and I can't tell you how many times setting a portal and then spearing myself away from the enemy and when to close to the corner using that teleport has helped. Thanks for explaining the "hold" technique with sub-zero's freeze after the jumping 243. I have been totally confounded on how to time that, look forward to trying it out.
Rain/Motaro is pretty swaggy post-buff. Tail Shot let's him mix off his two string Overheads. 1,1,2 can jail or frametrap into both Tail Shot and Tail Turret respectively. Reflect outranks Water Shield against multi-projectile zoners. Teleport let's him: Chase for Oki on a several knockdowns, especially a 2,11,2. Safely side-swap on a blocked 1,1,2 or standing 4. Get in for an optimal juggle off a fullscreen Ancient Trap. Drop a fullscreen portal, Motaro over, attack, retreat to portal. Shimmy on a jump-in by planting an air portal while Motaro winds up to pull you out. Setup Confluence Beam in a single sequence with only a small gap as follows: 1,1,2 Portal Place, Motaro teleport. Sneaky button into Portal 2. Confluence Beam is very limited but it does give 3 Plus frames for a prolonged Jail, which Motaro tail shot can prolong further for some hefty chip-out.
I use Stryker and he is insane good, 40-46% midscreen with 1 Bar and 1 Kameo. But it is execution heavy being a water beam dash cancels while also inputting the opposite direction Kameo at same time. But it's very rewarding. You can delay the Grenades to catch your opponent punishing you for a full combo or use it for block strings and of course High Damage. Rains unblockable setups are very punishable if he uses Overheads, delay wake-up into Upblock= full punish. So you have to mix it up. Like I said I think Stryker is either the best or 2nd best Kameo for Rain. I'm experimenting with Jax because of the unblockable setups since rain has a instant airial projectile (Cetrion 2.0) that gets him out of Jax's ground pound and he can of course jump in kick or use portals he previously setup to avoid blast and land into their face for full pressure/mix.

For example, when doing air combo 243, you do not have to wait till you hit the ground to call the freeze, you can just do air combo 243 plus forward r1 as 1 whole string, no need to wait to call him in, just press it all like its 1 string. Air combo 243, fR1. Like this comment if it helps!
Also you can't forget Cyrax's Net, this adds an additional projectile for Rain to work with. All of these Kameos help Rain not only with combos and setups but also with Zoning too.
its crazy how rain is supposed to be the main and really only true zoner of mk1, and hes actually much better as a rushdown, mk1 and how creative u can get is so much fun compared to how insanely boring mk11 was

Earlier tonight I was trying to see if I could get Sonya air punch to hit an enemy that I had just Rain hold 4 kicked where they come out on the other side of the screen. I was able to get the timing down and it looks cool but it’s pretty hard to follow it up with anything
Im gonna be honest, I love using Goro with Rain. Im a little biased because they are my two favorite characters in the series, but it all provides him a meterless combo on his low, the ability to use two air strings per combo, plus frames, and high corner damage. Sure, other ones are better, but Goro is the most fun (he just doesnt provide much at range).
May I ask you to do an updated Rain Kameo guide. I picked him up recently and he’s fun, but I’m looking for some cool combos with Rain God now that it starts combos. Just looking for some experienced Rain perspective.

Just wanna also mention that Scorpion can set up the hard to blockable by calling him after 243 and going straight into Geyser while they are suspended by the fire.
I’m very new to the competitive scene in fighting games, so hearing the term “hard to blockales” just kind of makes me laugh. Because that’s exactly what it is, not impossible. Just hard, to, block.
@@PNDKMHey! I made a comment on your previous video but I found a serious oversight with a certain character/kameo combo. If not patched it could really ruin any tournaments. Its a completely guaranteed reset that loops into itself and is braindead easy to execute. Hoping you could spread some awareness and help get this patched?
@@chrissanders5192 Sounds like Sindel/sub. Already been shown by a fair few people from what I've seen, and I think it comes under the pro komp rules of exploiting a bug. So in theory it should be disallowed? Hopefully it's gone asap though.

The subzero combos are so fun execute, and yet challenging at the same time.

Darrius can hit from geyser just like scorpion, and can either continue combos, or you can end it with one of his kameo strings
