Fabulous! Thanks for the shout out and loving you Aussie discovery. The new haircut is killer 😄 Definitely needing more busting out of the dance moves! I think in terms of INXS's success in the US vs Australia, they did work pretty hard to focus on the US success. They had the sound, the songs and an ultra-charismatic singer which was very much in vogue at that time. Unfortunately, we lost Michael back in 1997.
Well, I had no idea it had been that long. You are very welcome, but you deserve the thanks. I don't know how much my channel has brought attention to John Farnham and the Australian catalog, but you are the reason, buddy, mate, pal, my friend. Coincidentally, that is the year I graduated. Or let's be honest, I tried to graduate, or should have graduated, would be the better more accurate term.
Gotta check out another amazing Australian rock band Cold Chisel. INXS are amazing too thanks heaps for the reaction to this great band and one of my favourite songs. Gotta check out INXS live at Wembley 1991, maybe check them out performing “original sin”
Definitely already got cold chisel. In fact, I had seen that pop up many times, as I have been, you know, searching and discovering Australian talents. And there are many by the way. And I was not trying to put ACDC down. Dirty deeds is one of the best sums ever made 'cause they're done dirt cheap. Again, thank you for your loyalty as well. Anzac Day will be SPECIAL for Me and OGL with the emotions & being two premiers.
INXS is a great band! My favourite of theirs is "Devil Inside". I was gutted when I heard Michael Hutchence had passed. INXS was big in Canada too. Yes this is a pretty song, just like Marillion.
Yeah, I just thought I should give a shout out to Marillion and you, my friend, As the same with tool, I see similarities in the Australian bands, in a profound & different way. Yet the 🎶 message of hope and Unity seems to resonate within all 3
Incredible band, headed up by Michael Hutchence. He was a god. He famously had a torrid love affair with fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue, for whom Michael wrote the INXS hit Suicide Blonde. The story goes that Michael and Kylie joined the Mile High Club on a flight back to Oz, with then Prime Minister Bob Hawke in the seat in front. Apparently Bob turned around and winked at them. Might be an urban legend, but it's a great story.😂
I have a lot of those videos. They were in context with said video, so I have them stored for 1 of my send KIRK a 💩 ton of content, he shouldn't be busy days lol I APPRECIATE your time to watch and Comment.
I'm so happy you joined lately. Because it was the right time. Although I am very sorry to hear about your wife. And I'm very honored that maybe I brought a happy tear to your eye!!! Much Love
Hey, thank you so much for the comment. I'm so sorry. I'm just getting back to you. I was having sleep when I read this. I hit the heart to let you know I seen it. And I was out like a light bulb that was shattered. Don't get me wrong, the John Farnham wave has hit me a lot harder. But this was very enjoyable for me. It brought back many, many memories. It is the first time I have danced on camera. That's as a reactor. And I might add the first time I've ever danced on camera than anyone has seen, LOL. I have done it. I just didn't let anybody see it. Thank you so much for your time. There's a really big day coming up tomorrow. Tomorrow. We will have two premieres coming. Much love for Australia.
There is a very special cameo appearance in this video at 14:07 the old man is legendary Egyptian actor Omar Sharif who hit the big time in Hollywood in the late 50's and onward until the 2000's.
LOL. I just woke up. I have been searching for in excess and Jimmy Barnes singing phenomenal. LOL. I need coffee. I'm on Aussie time. I'll be right back with the properly to see if it's the right one. I thought you might get a laugh on this. As stupid as I feel. I'm still laughing at myself. Apparently there is no song called phenomenal.
TY and yes I have that noted and in the works after Anzac's Day of course !! Thank you. Yeah, about to clean up a little for the big day. Or the sad day, or the profound day, I think they all apply to this Anzac Day @Carolyn H Thank you personally for your loyalty to the channel and for all that you and your great nation do.
INXS were not as big here in Oz as in the USA for a number of reasons...... Firstly, our small population is less than that of NYC and New Jersey. lol Secondly...... they were not a true ROCK band.......as good as they were, they were crossing over towards the synth sound of the 80’s that was favoured by music execs who never understood or liked ,rock and / or blues. BUT....... there are a couple of LIVE videos on U Tube with Jimmy Barnes performing with INXS and many other OZ Rock legends. Check out He’s Gonna Step On You........ even Michael gets into the ROCK vocals on this masterpiece. lol
New Zealand is across the ditch and it's own country and not part of Australia. There seems to be a lot of confusion about which countries make up the continent of Australia some experts have put forward a couple of examples : The first one goes like this: The Australian continent consists of three sovereign countries which are Australia (the country) itself, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. It also encompasses portions of the island of New Guinea which are under the jurisdiction of Indonesia, namely Papua and West Papua. The second manner of viewing the continent is by harping on the now seldom-used terms Australasia and Oceania. If we consider continental Australia through these terms, it may now include more countries within the area - 20 countries in fact. These are Australia the country, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, French Polynesia, Tonga, Niue, Kiribati, Fiji, Tokelau, Western Samoa, Wallis Futuna, Solomon Island, Tuvalu, Cocos, Keeling Island, Nauru, Cook Island, New Caledonia, Pitcairn Island and Vanuatu. And it goes on with other listings as well lol. So if you float in the South Pacific you might be part of the Australian Continent!
Thank you for that context. Honestly, I can see why it's a little confusing now for anyone. Are anyone who doesn't live there. That being said, I do understand now. And again, thank you for your time, your effort. To make this context, to help me understand.

R.I.P And to be clear, obviously, I heard in the video, it was 97, almost 98. That's what brings the 9/8. As coincidental as this special date.
I love this song, ❤ always have
Thank you cuz I appreciate your support my friend or my family. Either way, anytime you need to hit me up. Man, I'm proud of you.
