A calendar invented by man with pagan names for days and months is not God's calendar. The earth is a clock, and all the lights in the heavens keep time like the hands on a clock. The Hebrew calendar is kept according to the moon. It is why the FEASTS (moedim) of God are all tracked according to the moon. In scripture the first MOEDIM listed in Leviticus that is kept by appointment of the moon is the Sabbath. It is why scripture always says New Moons and Sabbaths (even mentioned in the New Testament), like they go together. Conjunction occurs when the Sun and moon are at the 12:00 position and the moon is not visible this ends a month and begins a new month (moon). The priests then wait to visually see a crescent moon at sunset. Each Sabbath occurs from that first sighting every 7th day. The moon moves a quarter turn away from the sun every 7 days AND changes EXACTLY one phase. The last Sabbath of every month is on Conjunction. This is where the idea for a clock came from! Creation keeping a countdown to His return. I haven't figured out the stars yet. How do I know that the man made calendar is a lie? Because it won't work without an imaginary line in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that begins a new day in the middle of the night (12am). It is Sunday and Saturday in the Samoan Isalands at the SAME TIME. This makes the fight over what day Sabbath is on meaningless. Look up international date line. God doesn't need a line, there are no lines on His clock.

On the other hand, this piece of legislation from the Council of Laodicea may have likely also referred to the original lunar Sabbath that the Jews had traditionally kept since antiquity. But, whichever the case, the real truth shines forth by the weight of evidence that, indeed, both the Romans and the Jews of that era changed every single unit of time. Thus, neither reflects the Torah Law, the prophecies of the true Messiah, or its principles of time-measuring today that were designed to synchronize His followers with His true worship rhythm.

My question goes further back than the time of Jesus. How could any man prior to Jesus have reached the conclusion that God loved them? How could Adam have understood that God loved Him? The fact that God loved (or not) people should have been answerable well before Jesus came around, Adam himself could have answered that. How did he realise that God loved him, if at all? He requires blood of a blemish free, sinless sacrifice to cover the sins of his people. Then GOD gave his only begotten son to take on the sins of the world from the beginning to the end of the world so that we would be saved from the place of Hell that we were blindly walking into (GOD doesn't wish anyone to go there, it was created for Satan and his demons.) The children of GOD were in the darkness, and GOD brought us into the light, redeemed us, wrapped us in a robe of righteousness, cleansed us of all sin, sanctified (separated us from the world) , and justified us before the Holy righteous judgment of GOD. It was the Pope that decreed "The earth is flat", so the bible was changed accordingly to match the words of the pope. But for the most part the message of the bible has not changed as a whole. Especially compared to other religious texts. The first standardized "Quran" didn't happen until the 1960's. Before that, thousands of different versions of the Quran existed. Set apart = special, different, not like the others. The Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, and Day of Atonement are the only set apart feasts that begin at even. Set apart = different. Those directions were not given for the other feasts or days. Therefore, if evening start was the norm, then there would have been no need to single them out that way. Also, since those are the only moediym - set apart days that are different (set apart in that way) then the norm is a dawn start.

I agree on the dawn start. If you examine the scripture of Genesis carefully, the pattern I see is of a day being sunrise to sunrise and NOT evening to evening. Genesis 1:3 is the demarkation between non-form and formation of the heavens and the earth, and begins with "Let there be light". God starts creation with this act. After god performed this work and the start of the 'day', there was evening, and then there was morning. The completion of one day. All the days of creation follow this pattern: 1) During the day, God does his works 2) There is evening, presumably with God 'resting' from His works from the day. 3) Morning takes place, marking the end of the previous day, and the start of a new day. When you read through the days of creation several times, that is the only pattern that I can see. If you start with 'evening' then the pattern is off, and you have an extra set of time (Let there be light) that falls outside the Creation Week. From what I can tell, there are some definite discrepancies in this video that don't match up to scripture, of which the start of a day is one. That doesn't negate everything, but it does indicate that we must endeavor to be like the Bereans and make sure that we are being active Christians who always go first to God's word, developing our minds and our hermaneutics in reading the scriptures.
The day begins at dawn. God created light during the day, then the evening then the morning, the first day. Work during the day light. Evening to morning is the night. Pretty basic but everybody is blinded by it. Why mentioned Passover from evening to evening when you can just mention the 14 Nisan.

I don't understand how so many can say the Sabbath is Sunday and it doesn't matter if you work on the Sabbath. How is it okay to try and keep all but one of the ten commandments?

God works, then evening, then morning. Day completed and starts again. Morning starts a new day. Think about it, IF a day started at sunset, it would mean that you are actually keeping yom kippur on the 9th.. however, if a day starts at sunrise, the evening before would be the evening of the 9th day, and the next morning would be the 10th day.

Col 2:16-17 - if we are taught that „It is a shadow to come“ we are not asked to keep the Sabbath like the Israelites in the Old Testament. God made the 7th day the sabbath day. A day is like a 1000 years to god. He talks about the foreshadowing of the coming millennium where Jesus rules in peace. This will be the true sabbath of God as this is where he rested from his work. I like the idea that the year begins when Spring starts, but that only works for the Northern hemisphere. In the Southern hemisphere, it means that their new year starts at the beginning of Autumn 🤔

God established the Sabbath again at Mount Sinai. And more recently, Jesus kept the Sabbath. And the Jews have continued to keep the Sabbath on the same day Jesus did.

The True 7th day Shabbat is not Saturday! According to the set apart scriptures the new year / new moon in Abib (spring) always starts with a memorial on the 5th day of creation and the true 7th day memorial is after 2 nights. And it continues through the year according to the six days of labour and then we keep the Sabbath of YAHUAH on the seventh day. We use the lights above given by Yahuah not the ROMAN CALENDAR or any other calendar for that matter.
I'm going to challenge assumptions. After watching this I think, As a Christian the Sabbath should be a day of rest and worship in the family setting (my wife and I used to worship in community on the Sabbath as well), saving Yom Rishon (First Day) or Sunday -- what many call The Lord's Day -- for community worship. The scriptural day starts at dawn, not sunset. The sun starts its rule in the east, not in the west when it is going down. Lights in heaven determine time, not the darkness at sunset. Evening to morning, the 1st day means that the day ends in the morning and starts another day in the morning because of the appearance of light, the sun in the east. While it's true that in you can read in Leviticus 23:32 that 'from even to even, you shall celebrate your Sabbath' but that pertains only to the day of atonement which is on the 9th day of the 7th month at even, not the weekly Sabbath. Look the day number did not change, it's still 9th day at even. If the day starts at even, then it should be the 10th day instead not the 9th day. Remember Abib 14 the first Passover at even. If day starts at sunset, then it should have been Abib 15 already, a Sabbath. Look what happened on that evening, if that was a Sabbath, the angels were supposed to rest but they went around the houses to check for the lamb's blood on every door in Egypt.

When you read Genesis carefully, God starts creation and the Creation Week with "Let there be light" creating the birth of the first day. Then there was night. Then there was morning. This sets the pattern of light to light being one day. Everything was formless and void and part of the eternal state until God said those words. All the days of creation follow this pattern. God does his works during the day, the evening comes where He does no works, and then the next morning comes ending the previous day and beginning the new one. If the 'day' started with the evening, then that puts part of the creation works outside of the week, and throws off what happened on day 1. After watching this, I read and re-read Genesis several times, and no matter how I tried to put it, the evening start of the day does not seem to work.

The word Christian means Christ like. In the Bible, at Antioch, people who were not followers of Christ call the followers of Christ - Christians- because the followers of Christ behaved so much like Christ(Acts 11:26). So if you behave like Christ, in a Christ like manner (after salvation), then by definition you are being a Christian. Religion has nothing to do with it. Has the term been usurped and incorrectly used? Yes! But that only underlines the fact that most people who claim to be Christians aren’t. There are 45,000 denominations of “Christianity” - that’s not one religion (man-made or other) by any stretch of the imagination. So we have to go back to the original definition which is to be Christ like. But here’s something else for you to ponder. Where in the Bible does it say to build a church? It doesn’t. I spent 34 years in "church" and several more after that still defending it, It was a hard conclusion to come to but after hearing the Lord remind me of His Word. Acts 7: 48-49 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, And earth is my footstool: What house will ye build me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things? After studying the Bible in English and Hebrew. After really understanding that the early saints didn’t even have a building not even when 3000 souls were saved at once. After studying the history of these words, I was left with no other conclusion. I am determined that nothing will come between me and worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. And check this out- The Bible wasn't written in English. The word that Yehoshua and His apostles used in all of those scriptures which have been translated as "church" was actually the word Qahal (Hebrew) and when writing in Greek it was Ekklesia- neither these words actually translate to "church" or any variation of it. Those words mean "assembly" or "called-out ones". You can see an example of what I mean in Acts 7: 37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: Why does it use the word "church" here? Moses and the children of Israel did not have a "church" at all. Obviously this word was mistranslated. And it was done so because, they were so busy inserting the word "church" everywhere that they put it there as well, where it obviously didn't belong. Why? Don't get me wrong, we are the body of Yehoshua, but He never once used the word "church". So why are we? Especially when it's origins can be found in blatant sorcery? It literally comes from circe/kirke which is the name of the Greek goddess of sorcery-But even if a person doesn’t believe it came from that name. Why would someone want to use the same word as a greek goddess? It's like saying yeah- it's a terrible word in another language, But I'm going to use it anyway. English didn't exist then, so we both can agree that Yehoshua most certainly didn't use it. The enemy wants us to worship someone else other than the Lord. Why do you think the body of Yehoshua has strayed so far from its foundations? Why do you think there are so many denominations and doctrines that disagree with each other? Why do you think millions and billions of dollars go into buildings that sit empty 90% of the time instead of helping those in need? Yes, we need to gather and fellowship. The early disciples gathered in houses, fellowshipping daily. They didn’t have a church, they would even be appalled that we were connecting worship of YEHOSHUA with a reference to a false deity.

All three of them have names that are not of English origin, yet we do not call them anything different. We do not “translate” their names into English. We give them the respect of calling them their names as given. So why do we give the God of all less respect than some actors, who’ve done nothing personally for us? The letter “J” was not invented until the 1500’s so the name “Jesus” was not possibly used until after that. So at the time that our Saviour walked this earth and for over 1500 years after, He was not known as Jesus. When He was born , the name Maryam and Yoseph (Mary and Joseph) said over Him was not Jesus, it was Yehoshua. Yeshua or Yahshua or kind of like nicknames similar to Josh being a nickname for Joshua. It’s a shortened version of the name Yehoshua. So those who call Him Yehoshua are not using a new name at all. They’re actually returning to what the apostles and all of those who walked and talked with God, knew Him as, Yehoshua. Yehoshua means- YHWH Saves. Isn’t that an awesome thing? YHWH SAVES! Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. The problem today, the day for most people around the world, their rest day is Sunday ( which supposed to be Saturday) which most Catholics and other most churches are having their Church Services. So, the 10 Commandments are not followed. (Exodus 20:1-17)
You did an excellent job on this. Very biblical. A couple things I’d like to point out that you might study for yourself. Seems to me that a 24 hour day is not a Jewish biblical concept. They had 12 hours in a day and 4 watches in the night. The only reference to hours of the night, is in the book of Acts where the Romans were involved. Looks like to the Jews every day had 12 hours. The day was just divided into 12 portions. So- no matter what time of year it was, the day still had 12 hours. In winter the hours were shorter than the hours of the summer. That’s kinda hard to wrap our modern minds around, but true.
The Hebrew month begins with the New Moon New Month crescent sighting. Genesis 1:14-19. The week is not set by man but by The FATHER. I guess the question to ask is who changed the Shabbat to Saturday, then to Sunday? (Satan) All the day of the week as they are named are (idolic) "god's". Prayers

Evening is not night bro. A day is 12 hours (John 11: 9). God rained a flood upon the earth forty DAYS and forty NIGHTS.( Gen 7:12). A day is a separate entity from a night.
I like what he says about everything other than the Sabbath. Hebrews 4:7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” Hebrews 4:7 is describing that we enter that rest as soon as we believe the gospel. Read those verses.. we enter that rest on the new day called "Today". We then enter His rest "Today" the day we believe the gospel. So we are keeping the Sabbath. We enter it on "Today" when we hear and believe the gospel... even if it's preached on a Thursday..... It is a physical Sabbath day too. Hebrews 4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. In Joshua 6, God commanded the Israelites to circle the city 7 days in a row. Therefore, one of those days had to be a Sabbath. So it is a physical Sabbath as well
Isaiah 66:23 “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah talking about a future day when all will keep the sabbath. It’s spiritual and physical. 😃

Your timing of the year assumes everyone lives in the northern hemisphere regions of the earth. Because winter in the northern hemisphere is summer in the south.

@@Alumniih The heliocentric model or the geocentric model are basically one and the same thing, just the perspective is different. One is looking at how planets move as if being on the sun, and the other is looking at how planets move as if being on earth. Since I am on the earth, I am more inclined to say that everything moves around me as that is how it looks to me. If I were to be on the sun (which I am not, but you can imagine) I will say again that everything moves around me, the whole universe moves around me. I have no issue with any of these 2 models. But how about the reference point of the Tychos model? Well, it's also got the Earth at its centre. Of course it has Earth at its centre, if you are on it looking outside. Any other planet could be regarded as the centre of the universe, as if you would live on Mars (for example) that would be the central planet around which the sun and everything else rotates, so that would be the centre of the universe and the Tychos model could be applied to that. In conclusion I have no problem with any of these models. While on earth living my daily life I see the sun going up and down everyday. If I do science and I need to measure the trajectory of astral bodies I will probably use a mix of Heliocentric and Tychos model, depending on which model can more accurately predict the data I am after. If I travel in a space ship and I am ploting a course across galaxies, I would probably look at various solar systems and the motions that its planets have around their central sun, thus adopting the heliocentric model for mapping and calculation purposes. If I set foot on any of its planets I would probably calculate things in space as if that planet were the centre of the universe, using the Geocentric or Tychos model as I did on earth. It is all relative to where you are gazing from. Any celestial body can be considered the centre of the universe considering that anywhere you look there's no end to space. So I have no problem with any of these models, they are all useful depending on what work you want to do with them. This is what I mean that I take everything with a grain of salt. It's just a matter of perspective, not necessarily of truth. The truth is clear, there are planets, there are stars, galaxies and the like, and they all move around in space. How exactly they move? Well we have models to model their motions depending on where we want to place the center of our observations, and we use whichever model is best suited for the job at hand, or whichever model gives us the most accurate data in the most simplest of ways.

The year does begin Abib 1st April Fool’s Day or what I believe is Christ true birthdate hints the pagans making it Fools Day but, the year consists of 13 months with each containing 28 days for a 364 day year. The main point in all of this is that Messiah Himself is Master of the sabbath. In His many titles, He said The Son of Man is Master of the sabbath. Whenever He said Son of Man, that refers to His human self, which also refers to us. The sabbath was made for us, not us for the sabbath. Messiah is our rest: rest from worldy cares and ambitions; rest from religion; rest from ceremonies and rituals; rest from working our way to Heaven, etc. These are a *Daily* rest, not weekly! We are to enter and remain in Messiah's bossom perpetually. The weekly sabbath was fulfilled in Him and nailed to the cross. Just like all of the Levitical rituals and ceremonies, the sabbath *was* a pattern for the millennial reign. The reason it was death to any violator was because it was saying that His physical rule on the Earth wouldn't make any difference to the way things are; that we'll still be trying to evangelize people during His reign. Look at how many people now believe that He isn't physically coming back, or that He already returned and is invisible - like how JW's believe He returned in 1914 or 1975. We must remember, YHWH already knew how many thousands of years it would take to save every possible person who is destined to be - first! He then patterned Creation and the week to reflect that. He said to take care of the widow, orphan, and foreigner; feed the hungry; clothe the naked; minister to the sick; and to not think our own thoughts, all on His day. These are daily things. On a side note, there are several types of years, according to the luminaries placement in the Mazzaroth (zodiac). A solar year is the 365 1/4 days that it takes for the sun to complete its figure 8 zodiacal circuit. A lunar year is 354 1/3 days... An agricultural year is anywhere from 11 to 13 months. And an astronomical year is 360 days. Depending on what biblical point you're trying to make, these are all contextually relevant. Fyi, Messiah did *Not* raise from the dead on the 16th of Abib. How is that 3 days and 3 nights from the evening of the 14th?!
@wangxiaoming8989 He died on the 4th day of the week, right in the midst of the week (as the scriptures put it). When we count from there, we see that He raises the evening of the sabbath. That's why when the Mary's got to His tomb at first light on the 1st day of the week - He was already gone.

I just had Herb Solinsky on my show. For people who don't know, he is considered to be the top expert on the biblical calendar. Barley is not to be used. It is the first sighted crescent on or after the equinox. So this video seems to have it right. Friday evening October 4th, should have started the 1st of Tishri. You will find most of the youtube channels have it wrong. No one on earth saw a crescent moon until after friday evening October 4th 2024.
I don't know what the original authors meant by the firmament. Did they touch it to notice it to be firm? Perhaps it is a way of saying in the same way as we mean "boundary" today. It doesn't mean that there can't be more beyond the boundary, it just means that at that particular moment in history the maximum we could see was the blue sky. That blue sky was the topmost limit, or the firmament. In the same place we could also see the stars. So I understand the word firmament to be a boundary. And it remains a boundary until we can go past it. And it seems that we could go past it on our modern times, so the blue sky during the day or the dark starry sky during the night is no longer a boundary. I believe we are on a blue spinning ball as I like to watch the night sky and record the motion of the stars with the help of a telescope. I liked doing this since I was a child. Something must be spinning, either the earth or the stars. I have no problem believing the modern heliocentric model. Every year the stars are where I expect them to be. The math seems to work for me.

It's a clock
A calendar invented by man with pagan names for days and months is not God's calendar. The earth is a clock, and all the lights in the heavens keep time like the hands on a clock. The Hebrew calendar is kept according to the moon. It is why the FEASTS (moedim) of God are all tracked according to the moon. In scripture the first MOEDIM listed in Leviticus that is kept by appointment of the moon is the Sabbath. It is why scripture always says New Moons and Sabbaths (even mentioned in the New Testament), like they go together. Conjunction occurs when the Sun and moon are at the 12:00 position and the moon is not visible this ends a month and begins a new month (moon). The priests then wait to visually see a crescent moon at sunset. Each Sabbath occurs from that first sighting every 7th day. The moon moves a quarter turn away from the sun every 7 days AND changes EXACTLY one phase. The last Sabbath of every month is on Conjunction. This is where the idea for a clock came from! Creation keeping a countdown to His return. I haven't figured out the stars yet. How do I know that the man made calendar is a lie? Because it won't work without an imaginary line in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that begins a new day in the middle of the night (12am). It is Sunday and Saturday in the Samoan Isalands at the SAME TIME. This makes the fight over what day Sabbath is on meaningless. Look up international date line. God doesn't need a line, there are no lines on His clock.

The sun is also a luminary, not a ball of fire. It is a hot light, while the moon is a cool light. They are local, equal in size, about 32 mi across and 93-ish miles away.
The new year is in spring (March)…..notice how our calendar has Sept as the 9th month, though sept means 7….& so on, Oct meaning 8, nov meaning 9, dec meaning 10….they don’t even hide this has been changed. 7 also signifies completion….not 9. Jesus was born in Sept, and he will likely return during Sept.

If we had no knowledge of the recorded evidence that the Yahudim (Jews) had just seven years previously changed their calendar, reflecting their adoption of the Roman Saturday as their new Sabbath, we could assume, along with the ignorant, that Saturday had always been the Sabbath of the Jews. In this case, this quote legislating that the Sunday-keeping Christians must not Judaize by resting on the new “Saturday” Sabbath of the Jews was likely designed to keep up appearances as a way of segregation from the hated Jews.
On the other hand, this piece of legislation from the Council of Laodicea may have likely also referred to the original lunar Sabbath that the Jews had traditionally kept since antiquity. But, whichever the case, the real truth shines forth by the weight of evidence that, indeed, both the Romans and the Jews of that era changed every single unit of time. Thus, neither reflects the Torah Law, the prophecies of the true Messiah, or its principles of time-measuring today that were designed to synchronize His followers with His true worship rhythm.

He loved us with unconditional love before the beginning of time and came up with a way to to bring us back to him by taking the form of a man to die for our sins that separated us from him. Rose from the dead on the third day by the Holy Spirit and brought up to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father until he returns for us the final time. He gave his life for us before we sinned for the forgiveness of sins. This is the mercy and grace of the LORD. All we have to do to receive this gift of GOD is to believe in him and the Gospel truth.

It would have been way nicer that whomever loved me stayed alive so that I could enjoy their company and love. What use it is for me if somebody that loved me died for me? My question goes further back than the time of Jesus. How could any man prior to Jesus have reached the conclusion that God loved them? How could Adam have understood that God loved Him? The fact that God loved (or not) people should have been answerable well before Jesus came around, Adam himself could have answered that. How did he realise that God loved him, if at all? In summary, and more simply put, how could have Adam (or Eve) known that God loved them?
@wangxiaoming8989 God walked with Adam and Eve, and GOD dwells in his children. You can't get closer than that. The creator of the Heavens and Earth made an order to things before time. He requires blood of a blemish free, sinless sacrifice to cover the sins of his people. Then GOD gave his only begotten son to take on the sins of the world from the beginning to the end of the world so that we would be saved from the place of Hell that we were blindly walking into (GOD doesn't wish anyone to go there, it was created for Satan and his demons.) The children of GOD were in the darkness, and GOD brought us into the light, redeemed us, wrapped us in a robe of righteousness, cleansed us of all sin, sanctified (separated us from the world) , and justified us before the Holy righteous judgment of GOD. God no longer sees our sin (which we would be consumed to be in his pure Holy presence) when he looks at us but his own sons blood (the Lamb of God) You can only go to heaven if you're born again through Christ Jesus redeeming blood as a new creation in Christ through the Holy Spirit. He is alive and will return again. It is written, "It is finished." Jesus is the LORD of lords and KING of kings.

Yeah that’s the typical response. They haven’t actually looked into it though (usually). At least that’s been my experience. We can worship God any day! But the Sabbath was to be a day of rest set apart to spend time with God. It’s special. Not burdensome. 😃

It was the Pope that decreed "The earth is flat", so the bible was changed accordingly to match the words of the pope. But for the most part the message of the bible has not changed as a whole. Especially compared to other religious texts. The first standardized "Quran" didn't happen until the 1960's. Before that, thousands of different versions of the Quran existed. The Muslims don't like that being brought up.
Set apart = special, different, not like the others. The Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, and Day of Atonement are the only set apart feasts that begin at even. Set apart = different. Those directions were not given for the other feasts or days. Therefore, if evening start was the norm, then there would have been no need to single them out that way. Also, since those are the only moediym - set apart days that are different (set apart in that way) then the norm is a dawn start.
That's why he omitted the Leviticus 23:27 for that matter where it says on the tenth day is also the day of atonement. Unless they say the day in day of atonement is actually days.

There are 7 yearly sabbaths. The Day of Passover is not one of them. 7 represents perfection and completeness. Please count again.
I agree on the dawn start. If you examine the scripture of Genesis carefully, the pattern I see is of a day being sunrise to sunrise and NOT evening to evening.
Genesis 1:3 is the demarkation between non-form and formation of the heavens and the earth, and begins with "Let there be light". God starts creation with this act. After god performed this work and the start of the 'day', there was evening, and then there was morning. The completion of one day.
All the days of creation follow this pattern:
1) During the day, God does his works
2) There is evening, presumably with God 'resting' from His works from the day.
3) Morning takes place, marking the end of the previous day, and the start of a new day.
When you read through the days of creation several times, that is the only pattern that I can see. If you start with 'evening' then the pattern is off, and you have an extra set of time (Let there be light) that falls outside the Creation Week.
From what I can tell, there are some definite discrepancies in this video that don't match up to scripture, of which the start of a day is one. That doesn't negate everything, but it does indicate that we must endeavor to be like the Bereans and make sure that we are being active Christians who always go first to God's word, developing our minds and our hermaneutics in reading the scriptures.

The day begins at dawn. God created light during the day, then the evening then the morning, the first day. Work during the day light. Evening to morning is the night. Pretty basic but everybody is blinded by it. Why mentioned Passover from evening to evening when you can just mention the 14 Nisan.

Think about it, IF a day started at sunset, it would mean that you are actually keeping yom kippur on the 9th.. however, if a day starts at sunrise, the evening before would be the evening of the 9th day, and the next morning would be the 10th day.

Col 2:16-17 - if we are taught that „It is a shadow to come“ we are not asked to keep the Sabbath like the Israelites in the Old Testament. God made the 7th day the sabbath day. A day is like a 1000 years to god. He talks about the foreshadowing of the coming millennium where Jesus rules in peace. This will be the true sabbath of God as this is where he rested from his work. The True 7th day Shabbat is not Saturday! According to the set apart scriptures the new year / new moon in Abib (spring) always starts with a memorial on the 5th day of creation and the true 7th day memorial is after 2 nights. And it continues through the year according to the six days of labour and then we keep the Sabbath of YAHUAH on the seventh day.

After watching this I think, As a Christian the Sabbath should be a day of rest and worship in the family setting (my wife and I used to worship in community on the Sabbath as well), saving Yom Rishon (First Day) or Sunday -- what many call The Lord's Day -- for community worship. It fills God's commandment and expands worship into man's traditions. Why? We cannot worship YHWH and our Savior Yeshua the Messiah too much.

The scriptural day starts at dawn, not sunset. The sun starts its rule in the east, not in the west when it is going down. Lights in heaven determine time, not the darkness at sunset. Evening to morning, the 1st day means that the day ends in the morning and starts another day in the morning because of the appearance of light, the sun in the east. While it's true that in you can read in Leviticus 23:32 that 'from even to even, you shall celebrate your Sabbath' but that pertains only to the day of atonement which is on the 9th day of the 7th month at even, not the weekly Sabbath. Look the day number did not change, it's still 9th day at even. If the day starts at even, then it should be the 10th day instead not the 9th day. Remember Abib 14 the first Passover at even. If day starts at sunset, then it should have been Abib 15 already, a Sabbath. Look what happened on that evening, if that was a Sabbath, the angels were supposed to rest but they went around the houses to check for the lamb's blood on every door in Egypt.

When you read Genesis carefully, God starts creation and the Creation Week with "Let there be light" creating the birth of the first day. Then there was night. Then there was morning. This sets the pattern of light to light being one day. Everything was formless and void and part of the eternal state until God said those words.
All the days of creation follow this pattern. God does his works during the day, the evening comes where He does no works, and then the next morning comes ending the previous day and beginning the new one.
If the 'day' started with the evening, then that puts part of the creation works outside of the week, and throws off what happened on day 1.
After watching this, I read and re-read Genesis several times, and no matter how I tried to put it, the evening start of the day does not seem to work.
Scripture makes it clear that a day starts at evening and ends at evening.

The word Christian means Christ like. In the Bible, at Antioch, people who were not followers of Christ call the followers of Christ - Christians- because the followers of Christ behaved so much like Christ(Acts 11:26). So if you behave like Christ, in a Christ like manner (after salvation), then by definition you are being a Christian. Religion has nothing to do with it. Has the term been usurped and incorrectly used? Yes! But that only underlines the fact that most people who claim to be Christians aren’t. There are 45,000 denominations of “Christianity” - that’s not one religion (man-made or other) by any stretch of the imagination. So we have to go back to the original definition which is to be Christ like.
But here’s something else for you to ponder. Where in the Bible does it say to build a church? It doesn’t. I spent 34 years in "church" and several more after that still defending it, It was a hard conclusion to come to but after hearing the Lord remind me of His Word.
Acts 7: 48-49 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, And earth is my footstool: What house will ye build me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things?
After studying the Bible in English and Hebrew. After really understanding that the early saints didn’t even have a building not even when 3000 souls were saved at once. After studying the history of these words, I was left with no other conclusion. I am determined that nothing will come between me and worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in Truth.
And check this out- The Bible wasn't written in English. The word that Yehoshua and His apostles used in all of those scriptures which have been translated as "church" was actually the word Qahal (Hebrew) and when writing in Greek it was Ekklesia- neither these words actually translate to "church" or any variation of it. Those words mean "assembly" or "called-out ones".

Why does it use the word "church" here? Moses and the children of Israel did not have a "church" at all. Obviously this word was mistranslated. And it was done so because, they were so busy inserting the word "church" everywhere that they put it there as well, where it obviously didn't belong. Why?
Don't get me wrong, we are the body of Yehoshua, but He never once used the word "church". So why are we? Especially when it's origins can be found in blatant sorcery? It literally comes from circe/kirke which is the name of the Greek goddess of sorcery-But even if a person doesn’t believe it came from that name. Why would someone want to use the same word as a greek goddess? It's like saying yeah- it's a terrible word in another language, But I'm going to use it anyway. English didn't exist then, so we both can agree that Yehoshua most certainly didn't use it.
The enemy wants us to worship someone else other than the Lord. Why do you think the body of Yehoshua has strayed so far from its foundations? Why do you think there are so many denominations and doctrines that disagree with each other? Why do you think millions and billions of dollars go into buildings that sit empty 90% of the time instead of helping those in need?
Yes, we need to gather and fellowship. The early disciples gathered in houses, fellowshipping daily. They didn’t have a church, they would even be appalled that we were connecting worship of YEHOSHUA with a reference to a false deity.
You may wonder why I refer to Our Saviour as YEHOSHUA. Or maybe you’ve heard others do it and wonder why. Well, here goes.
You ever heard of Idris Elba, Antonio Banderas or Viggo Mortenson? All three of them have names that are not of English origin, yet we do not call them anything different. We do not “translate” their names into English. We give them the respect of calling them their names as given.
So why do we give the God of all less respect than some actors, who’ve done nothing personally for us?
The letter “J” was not invented until the 1500’s so the name “Jesus” was not possibly used until after that. So at the time that our Saviour walked this earth and for over 1500 years after, He was not known as Jesus.
When He was born , the name Maryam and Yoseph (Mary and Joseph) said over Him was not Jesus, it was Yehoshua. Yeshua or Yahshua or kind of like nicknames similar to Josh being a nickname for Joshua. It’s a shortened version of the name Yehoshua.
So those who call Him Yehoshua are not using a new name at all. They’re actually returning to what the apostles and all of those who walked and talked with God, knew Him as, Yehoshua. Yehoshua means- YHWH Saves.
Isn’t that an awesome thing? YHWH SAVES! Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) - Yehoshua HaMashiach(The Messiah)

The problem today, the day for most people around the world, their rest day is Sunday ( which supposed to be Saturday) which most Catholics and other most churches are having their Church Services. So, the 10 Commandments are not followed. (Exodus 20:1-17)

A couple things I’d like to point out that you might study for yourself.
Seems to me that a 24 hour day is not a Jewish biblical concept. They had 12 hours in a day and 4 watches in the night.
The only reference to hours of the night, is in the book of Acts where the Romans were involved.
Looks like to the Jews every day had 12 hours. The day was just divided into 12 portions.
So- no matter what time of year it was, the day still had 12 hours. In winter the hours were shorter than the hours of the summer.
That’s kinda hard to wrap our modern minds around, but true.

Hebrews 4:7 is describing that we enter that rest as soon as we believe the gospel. Read those verses.. we enter that rest on the new day called "Today". Your timing of the year assumes everyone lives in the northern hemisphere regions of the earth. Because winter in the northern hemisphere is summer in the south.

@@Alumniih The heliocentric model or the geocentric model are basically one and the same thing, just the perspective is different. One is looking at how planets move as if being on the sun, and the other is looking at how planets move as if being on earth. Since I am on the earth, I am more inclined to say that everything moves around me as that is how it looks to me. If I were to be on the sun (which I am not, but you can imagine) I will say again that everything moves around me, the whole universe moves around me. I have no issue with any of these 2 models. But how about the reference point of the Tychos model? Well, it's also got the Earth at its centre. Of course it has Earth at its centre, if you are on it looking outside. Any other planet could be regarded as the centre of the universe, as if you would live on Mars (for example) that would be the central planet around which the sun and everything else rotates, so that would be the centre of the universe and the Tychos model could be applied to that.
In conclusion I have no problem with any of these models. While on earth living my daily life I see the sun going up and down everyday. If I do science and I need to measure the trajectory of astral bodies I will probably use a mix of Heliocentric and Tychos model, depending on which model can more accurately predict the data I am after. If I travel in a space ship and I am ploting a course across galaxies, I would probably look at various solar systems and the motions that its planets have around their central sun, thus adopting the heliocentric model for mapping and calculation purposes. If I set foot on any of its planets I would probably calculate things in space as if that planet were the centre of the universe, using the Geocentric or Tychos model as I did on earth. It is all relative to where you are gazing from. Any celestial body can be considered the centre of the universe considering that anywhere you look there's no end to space.
So I have no problem with any of these models, they are all useful depending on what work you want to do with them. This is what I mean that I take everything with a grain of salt. It's just a matter of perspective, not necessarily of truth. The truth is clear, there are planets, there are stars, galaxies and the like, and they all move around in space. How exactly they move? Well we have models to model their motions depending on where we want to place the center of our observations, and we use whichever model is best suited for the job at hand, or whichever model gives us the most accurate data in the most simplest of ways.

The main point in all of this is that Messiah Himself is Master of the sabbath. In His many titles, He said The Son of Man is Master of the sabbath. Whenever He said Son of Man, that refers to His human self, which also refers to us. The sabbath was made for us, not us for the sabbath. Messiah is our rest: rest from worldy cares and ambitions; rest from religion; rest from ceremonies and rituals; rest from working our way to Heaven, etc. These are a *Daily* rest, not weekly! We are to enter and remain in Messiah's bossom perpetually. The weekly sabbath was fulfilled in Him and nailed to the cross. Just like all of the Levitical rituals and ceremonies, the sabbath *was* a pattern for the millennial reign. The reason it was death to any violator was because it was saying that His physical rule on the Earth wouldn't make any difference to the way things are; that we'll still be trying to evangelize people during His reign. Look at how many people now believe that He isn't physically coming back, or that He already returned and is invisible - like how JW's believe He returned in 1914 or 1975. We must remember, YHWH already knew how many thousands of years it would take to save every possible person who is destined to be - first! He then patterned Creation and the week to reflect that. He said to take care of the widow, orphan, and foreigner; feed the hungry; clothe the naked; minister to the sick; and to not think our own thoughts, all on His day. These are daily things.
On a side note, there are several types of years, according to the luminaries placement in the Mazzaroth (zodiac). A solar year is the 365 1/4 days that it takes for the sun to complete its figure 8 zodiacal circuit. A lunar year is 354 1/3 days... An agricultural year is anywhere from 11 to 13 months. And an astronomical year is 360 days. Depending on what biblical point you're trying to make, these are all contextually relevant.

I don't know what the original authors meant by the firmament. Did they touch it to notice it to be firm? Perhaps it is a way of saying in the same way as we mean "boundary" today. It doesn't mean that there can't be more beyond the boundary, it just means that at that particular moment in history the maximum we could see was the blue sky. That blue sky was the topmost limit, or the firmament. In the same place we could also see the stars. So I understand the word firmament to be a boundary. And it remains a boundary until we can go past it. And it seems that we could go past it on our modern times, so the blue sky during the day or the dark starry sky during the night is no longer a boundary. I believe we are on a blue spinning ball as I like to watch the night sky and record the motion of the stars with the help of a telescope. I liked doing this since I was a child. Something must be spinning, either the earth or the stars. I have no problem believing the modern heliocentric model. Every year the stars are where I expect them to be. The math seems to work for me.
