I collect mineral and gem specimens and am so sad that the occult and other ungodly behaviors have perverted Gods magnificence. Topaz can be considered precious, especially imperial and the golden kind that is represented - and it's the hardest stone on the (true) list - fitting that it represents Judah. But, the other precious stones, like sapphires, rubies (red sapphires), and diamonds were too hard for the cutting and polishing tools of the ancient world. Diamonds weren't even considered gemstones until about the 8th century; before that, they were just used as tools because they're harder than everything.
I think there's even more to this. In 1 Peter 2:5, we're described as living stones being built into God's temple. Daniel tells us that those who are wise and turn people to righteousness will shine like stars. Paul tells us that God's fire will test our works and reveal what quality they are. I've also read a (non biblical) book that analyzes personalities and puts them into geometric patterns that resemble gemstones. It's called personalysis, and is like Myers Briggs on steroids. I feel like all these things are connected, and that just like the pure light of Jesus shines through the facets of our individual personalities here on earth, we'll see a deeper version of that in our new bodies.

@@SellieM6970 In my teens I was a Christian, for the next 20 years I lost my faith, always trying to intellectualize Christianity to prove God exists then at 41 only a few weeks ago, passages like the one you just posted really reminded me that a finite being such as myself could never intellectualize an infinite being like God and I realized that God will never be found in the intellect of a finite being or the material world of a finite beings 5 senses. It can only be found where the infinitely wise Lord stated so, in the heart with faith in Jesus. As you pointed out with scripture, he wants us to freely give our hearts to him in faith and from personal experience over 20 years I can say that intellectualizing and materializing arguments for God ultimately leads nowhere because finite beings arguing with finite beings over infinite understanding never leads to the truth. I always enjoy the colors reflected by opals more than the clear diamond which is only like fancy glass in my eyes. All diamonds are too similar while opals all have a unique pattern. I believe the light from God in the New Jerusalem will be more brilliant than laser light though. I can hardly wait for His Kingdom to come. My point exactly. It's Truth and lies. I studied the breastplate stones names and the stones in revelation. I worked as a laser tech. And studied rocks and gemstones. I always wanted the truth about the stones in the Bible. It angers me how easily people are to believe anything if prefaced with God's name and not test it. God doesn't lie. Let's be honest, this is a question of translation. Just go and look at the same verse (Exodus 39:11) in multiple different Bible versions and you'll see there are different gemstones named across different versions.
Go back to the masoretic text and diamond does not feature in the Scriptures. Be careful of following translations that are not accurate. Furthermore go and look at the link between the stones, the 12 tribes of Israel and the meaning of their names. Then see why Lucifer had a breastplate with 9 stones only and why the 3rd row was missing
7:14 reading the KJ Bible the 12 stones are not the same in Exodus as in Revelations. Interestingly enough, these 12 jewels listed are the only jewels found on earth to be anisotropic-they turn into all the colours of the rainbow (🌈 despite their colour) and different patterns when hit with pure light. And God is pure light, so imagine God shining onto them at once. This is said in the book of revelations when the technology hadn’t been developed to test light. 💡 😅
Interesting too how the diamond was mentioned as part of the covering stones for anointed cherub in Ezekiel 28:13. The same precious stones on the priests' breastplates and the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem were mentioned, but none of these include the diamond!
I think the analogy goes much further in light of covenantal thinking. The high priest was the only one who could enter into the holy of holies and have access to the Holy Spirit, but with Christ the veil was torn and the Spirit from Pentecost on reside under the breastplate in the hearts and souls of the whole church as foreshadowed all the way back in Ezekiel 36:27-28 of Him putting His Spirit in us, and further using the stones as an analogy to border the whole Kingdom, the whole church, the complete Israel of believers grafted in as the bride of Christ. From one heart to the whole Kingdom. Just as God unveiled Himself and His nature with every covenant He also expanding His people every step of the way too. With each covenant we learn more of God and His beautiful relationship with His people.
As much as I believe in God, I don't think this is conclusive proof of His existence by any stretch. For me, the existence of the universe itself is the only proof I need.

This is facinating. I love Rubies (my birthstone) and was always a bit "sad" God did not use them. I also think it is interesting that He does use Sapphires. Scientifically speaking, rubies and sapphires are the same mineral (corundum). Both are made of alumina and oxygen, but they just differ in color. When a corundum is red, it is classified as a ruby, and when it is blue, or any other color than red, it is called a sapphire. For Sapphires to show the light, but Rubies do not, and both being corundum ... only God could make the "same" stones different!

I have the book on my shelf where this discovery is explained more fully. It was loaned to me by a friend and when I gave it back I asked God to give me a copy. Walking past a charity shop in Chichester my wife looked in the window and commented "Isn't that the book that you wanted?" This book was a brand new copy on sale for 50 pence. Topaz can be considered precious, especially imperial and the golden kind that is represented - and it's the hardest stone on the (true) list - fitting that it represents Judah. But, the other precious stones, like sapphires, rubies (red sapphires), and diamonds were too hard for the cutting and polishing tools of the ancient world. Diamonds weren't even considered gemstones until about the 8th century; before that, they were just used as tools because they're harder than everything.
I think there's even more to this. In 1 Peter 2:5, we're described as living stones being built into God's temple. Daniel tells us that those who are wise and turn people to righteousness will shine like stars. Paul tells us that God's fire will test our works and reveal what quality they are. I've also read a (non biblical) book that analyzes personalities and puts them into geometric patterns that resemble gemstones. It's called personalysis, and is like Myers Briggs on steroids. I feel like all these things are connected, and that just like the pure light of Jesus shines through the facets of our individual personalities here on earth, we'll see a deeper version of that in our new bodies.

I didn't and don't suggest that I am. I only point out that with trivial research the original writer is found to be anything but the "final authority" as you put it, quite the contrary in fact. And as a failed piece of research with no peer review (just his "cute theory" that can be picked apart with little effort) presented strongly as fact, it has been picked up by lots of people to present an agenda that damages the real subject matter.
It distracts some people from the truth, what actually matters in scripture, it misleads some people who are attracted by inappropriate interests in crystallography and magic (I've seen them in the comments of a couple of these copied videos), and it gives "haters" yet another thing to mock as they point out how "false the Bible obviously is" without needing to explain that it's another false interpretation that's been presented.

@@SellieM6970 In my teens I was a Christian, for the next 20 years I lost my faith, always trying to intellectualize Christianity to prove God exists then at 41 only a few weeks ago, passages like the one you just posted really reminded me that a finite being such as myself could never intellectualize an infinite being like God and I realized that God will never be found in the intellect of a finite being or the material world of a finite beings 5 senses. It can only be found where the infinitely wise Lord stated so, in the heart with faith in Jesus.
As you pointed out with scripture, he wants us to freely give our hearts to him in faith and from personal experience over 20 years I can say that intellectualizing and materializing arguments for God ultimately leads nowhere because finite beings arguing with finite beings over infinite understanding never leads to the truth. Thanks for posting that verse as I still tend to get caught trying to intellectualize arguments for God when I should be praising Him with my heart.

I always enjoy the colors reflected by opals more than the clear diamond which is only like fancy glass in my eyes. All diamonds are too similar while opals all have a unique pattern.
I believe the light from God in the New Jerusalem will be more brilliant than laser light though. I can hardly wait for His Kingdom to come. It will be such a dramatic contrast to what we have here and now. Hallelujah!!! Amen.

I was knee deep in the jewelry business at one time & I still have a fascination with them all! This is a very well done presentation. I vividly remember seeing the golden mask of King Tutankhamun and marveling at the Lapis stone arranged within the gold of the mask.

In the Egyptian culture, they believed that gemstones possessed certain mystical powers which would be acquired by the owner when worn. The Egyptian scarab was considered an extremely important facet in the Egyptian jewelry history and possessed certain powers as well.
How would the author respond to that passage? Did Egyptians possess laser light technology?

I am a pastor. I am not seeking to cast doubt on the Word of God. But I do get frustrated by how people will teach stuff as Biblical that is not accurate, and others will praise it and spread it without checking to see if it is correct.

My point exactly. It's Truth and lies. I studied the breastplate stones names and the stones in revelation. I worked as a laser tech. And studied rocks and gemstones. I always wanted the truth about the stones in the Bible. It angers me how easily people are to believe anything if prefaced with God's name and not test it. God doesn't lie. Nor tell half lie half truth
Let's be honest, this is a question of translation. Just go and look at the same verse (Exodus 39:11) in multiple different Bible versions and you'll see there are different gemstones named across different versions.
Go back to the masoretic text and diamond does not feature in the Scriptures. Be careful of following translations that are not accurate. Furthermore go and look at the link between the stones, the 12 tribes of Israel and the meaning of their names. Then see why Lucifer had a breastplate with 9 stones only and why the 3rd row was missing

I'm confused. Ruby and Sapphire are corundum, therefore both are anisotropic. Emerald is Beryl along with Morganite, Aquamarine, Bixbite, Heliodoro, and Goshenite making a leap of conjecture to say which it will actually be 🕊️🕊️🕊️
You are correct ruby is also anisotropic while garnet is not. They made a mistake in the video.

@@jordansmith7621 so, in the book of Revelations it says that the new Jerusalem will be built upon 12 jewels that will glorify the light of God. Interestingly enough, these 12 jewels listed are the only jewels found on earth to be anisotropic-they turn into all the colours of the rainbow (🌈 despite their colour) and different patterns when hit with pure light.
And God is pure light, so imagine God shining onto them at once.
This is said in the book of revelations when the technology hadn’t been developed to test light. 💡 😅
Interesting too how the diamond was mentioned as part of the covering stones for anointed cherub in Ezekiel 28:13. The same precious stones on the priests' breastplates and the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem were mentioned, but none of these include the diamond!

I think the analogy goes much further in light of covenantal thinking. The high priest was the only one who could enter into the holy of holies and have access to the Holy Spirit, but with Christ the veil was torn and the Spirit from Pentecost on reside under the breastplate in the hearts and souls of the whole church as foreshadowed all the way back in Ezekiel 36:27-28 of Him putting His Spirit in us, and further using the stones as an analogy to border the whole Kingdom, the whole church, the complete Israel of believers grafted in as the bride of Christ. From one heart to the whole Kingdom. Just as God unveiled Himself and His nature with every covenant He also expanding His people every step of the way too. With each covenant we learn more of God and His beautiful relationship with His people.
As much as I believe in God, I don't think this is conclusive proof of His existence by any stretch.
For me, the existence of the universe itself is the only proof I need.
This is such beautiful knowledge. Brings me to tears. What a GLORIOUS King we serve...

Let us remember how great is the glory that God has prepared for His children. It's something that nothing in this world can compare, just like how diamonds are nothing in that glorious Kingdom.

I like to think of it like a diamond with what is called the “brilliant cut” which is composed of: a large main facet at top, and small angled cuts on the side all the way around, then the slopes angled coming to a point at bottom. We have the main facet similar to our main dimension, with other dimensions a part of the whole. The light, reflecting not only into and thru, but out of the gemstone. We’re the gems. God uses every moment for multiple purposes, while yet still allowing mankind Freewill. And still, works all things together for good.

THIS is SO cool ! I've been wondering about all this for DECADES. . . but none of the pictures of those various gemstones looked like much to look at -- so I KNEW there had to be MORE to the story! Thanks so much for sharing this! I've long LOVED the awesome iridescent/opalescent appearance of the feathers, too, on Grackles, & Starlings... but noticed that it all depends on "how the light is striking their feathers, from where I'm at", whether I see all those glorious colors. Now, I was told, just a year or so ago, that for US PEOPLE -- we can only see those colors according to the lighting -- but that BIRDS can ALWAYS SEE ALL those colors, ... and I'm figuring we'll be given "birds eye vision" with our new bodies, too -- so THAT will make these Anisotropic gems EVEN BETTER!!!♥🤗😇

God did not use them.
I also think it is interesting that He does use Sapphires.
Scientifically speaking, rubies and sapphires are the same mineral (corundum).
Both are made of alumina and oxygen, but they just differ in color.
When a corundum is red, it is classified as a ruby, and when it is blue,
or any other color than red, it is called a sapphire.
For Sapphires to show the light, but Rubies do not,
and both being corundum ...
only God could make the "same" stones different!
This shows that in the last days, the mysteries of God will be revealed.
