A Guide To EU4... For Normal People

To say EU4 is a difficult game, is not exactly a controversial statement. It's widely believed, among veterans that it takes up to a 1000 hrs to really achieve mastery.
But I always wondered where this left casual players who are interested in doing things other than playing EU4 their entire lives.Are they simply not able to achieve moderate in game success, without an exorbident time committment.
Thats what I come in.
