I think Granada's a lot easier than it has been. You can get a not bad start if you take the new Ulema privilege that gives you negative piety to get the benefits of Mysticism (which is stronger for nations like Granada that have big strong neighbors). On top of that, Castile's not as strong because they have to contend with the near guaranteed Infantes of Aragon disaster on top of the Castilian Civil War disaster that will drain their manpower. As long as you focus Mil you'll get to Tech 4 before them, and if you're obscenely lucky you might be able to jump them when they have no allies.
Just like how as Byz you can just build a big navie, wait for Otto to attack someone in anatolia and then just naval bombard and assault Galibou, boom rhe balkans are yours
@@Leo.V I'd argue Byz is easier than Granada. The first war against the Ottos can be won without a single battle pretty easily. Granada has to engage the Castilian armies at some point in their first war. Your advantage is ideally Tech 4 vs their Tech 3, Muslim units having better pips at that stage than Western, taking advantage of Granada's mountainous terrain, and being able to afford your troop losses while Castile can't.
@@petersongames77 I agree, with Byz as you said, it can be won without even naval battles, with a big enough navie they wont even engage you, with granada you have ro wear down the iberians atleast once so you may take their important land and then spiral our of control
Granada is one of my favorites. You're actually able to pretty consistently ally both the Ottomans and France. If you win that first war against Castile/Aragon it's all uphill from there.
there is 2 pretty big vassals in Castile and 1 in Aragon, so better to take 1 province and then go to reqonqest to decrease ae, otherwise it is too much time taken by the coalition.
I completed the Re-Reconquista achievement awhile ago with Granada, and it was absolutely painful. I lucked out with my run (Castile dumbly dec'ed on me 1v1), but the 20 runs before I got bodied every time. I had more luck doing Byz or Basque in Glory than Granada lol Cudos to you, good sir!

My re-reconquista was 1st war vs portugal, taking all trade centers and ceuta then aragon somehow pu'ed portugal then iberrian wedding and I had to fight vs Portugal Castille Aragon and Venice. It was a bit harder
How the f do you get your allies on Iberia before the war or before Ceuta is sieged? theres just a cut there.. Its impossible to get help from them they cant get over.
bro you can literally watch them walk across in the video after the cut. but the explanation is that ceuta is a fort which borders morocco, meaning it doesn't project zone of control into enemy (Morocco's) territory. I own gibraltar which it can't project into either, meaning it's actually a pretty pointless fort.
@@Quarbit At 4:40 its just a cut and Even though you didnt siege Ceuta Tunis‘ army already crossed. That I cant explain this because I HAVE to Siege it before any ally can move over.
