Mikmaq run please
I'm not really big on Discord but I do have it and am in your server. How do I get acces to the save game to play around with?
Fun fact: If your Jean Bureau died like mine did in the game, you can make a general named "Jean Bureau" and it'll still count towards the mission.
This is very useful to know thank you so much!
Lol it happened to me yesterday and I was stuck for a while on that mission. Great tip!
Hahaha no fuckin way
If it works i love you
I’m gonna have to try that. Hate when he dies on the second day
I have come to the realization that the Most Powerful Nation in EU4 is whatever Ludi is playing at the moment.
Bingo
Great content!
You are the best Romanian living in Japan ever.
Go Habs go calisse
7:02 I do the early +1 stab for ticking prosperity every game thanks to learning from your strategies over the years; keep mentioning them Ludi, they don't get old and there are always new players coming to your videos to learn, and returning players relearning, in order to keep improving! Thank you for all the great videos over the years! :D
yes i love to hearing more tricks
About what you talked in around 7:00 it would be nice if you made a new video for newcomers about basic strategies and good eu4 practices. I'm about to start playing it (currently playing EU3 because my PC can't handle 4 for now), and I only know barely what to do, only for watching eu4 videos like yours, but yet not sure what or why do such things.
It's puzzling to see France with that much dev in 1444 when we know how destructive was the 100 years war. Also the grand compagnies who are just mercenary in EU4 were groups of plunderers who were looting, raping, burning when they were not engaged in an army the most famous of which were the "écorcheurs". There was also constant civil wars between the Armagnac and the Bourguignon (yes the burgudian duke and its supporter), the "Praguerie" and so on. the France was an absolute horrible place to live at the time. Even after, France was still in the of a potential civil war, return of the English and the threatening duke of Burgundy which sowed trouble in France with the "ligue du bien public", this is why burgundy has a mission named "league of the public weal" who gives 50% liberty disire to subjects
1444 is after a huge break in the war because Henry VI was a vegetable who hated war.
@@crazyand2099 I know, but clearly we were still in a bad position with the threat of burgundy and the kingdom was devastated
@@dano4996 again, not really, there was a truce with England and Burgundy switched sides to the French in 1435.
@@crazyand2099 Burgundy switched side but its aim of independence didn't change. Charles le téméraire had a lot of ambition and it took time to Louis XI to break Burgundy by diplomacy. Situation improved step by step by it wasn't a light which you turn on or off, it was a process
@@dano4996 they weren't waging war against France. Also Charles the Bold wasn't duke until 1467.
Yes, the Big Blue blob is stronger than the Big Green Blob.
Yes, Instead of an union of a small nation, it is better to annex them and find a better union.
Watching Ludi play EU4 is like watching an episode of Masterclass
Soo true he's literally on god mode compared to my playstyle. He'd probably prefer watching paint dry on a wall for 2 hour then to watch me play for 2 minutes. 😂
He’s pretty decent. If you want watch real masterclass watch florryworry or zlewich. Those guys regularly do very well on MP and play SP on very hard.
As a French person, i agree it was great!
>Gets early access for dlcs that renovents different areas
>Play bare minumum the new content so he get new dlcs for free
>Continue playing parts he already plays
his byz series is the most watched eu4 content on youtube and he went hard for like a week straight to fulfill like goals wdym
Bro, let him play what he wants 😂
He's done 3 series and only 1 has been in a place not touched by King of Kings, shut up, he also has another series on the way on Ardabil which is in King of Kings, so really shut up.
I feel you. I mean, obviously he can play what he wants, but this is like the 50th France video. We know they're super powerful, and they have been for years now.
I’m so happy Ludi is close to 200k subs, his videos are always so entertaining!! Good to see a good creator getting recognition
my mans out here chilling and obliterating europe, I on the other hand struggle go get anywhere near the HRE because I am a peasant!
Meow
You could get Naples on Reconquest CB from Provence missions ;)
You cant integrate Provence for free anymore.
I am pretty sure the current Ruler needs to seize Crownland to integrate a Vassal as France, it doesnt matter how often.
If you get a new Ruler on the Throne you need ro seize Crownlands again to integrate the next Vassals
No, that's not how it works
Nicely Done. Would love to see how fast you can form Germany - not just get the cores. The Teutonic Order's diplomatic path lets you form Germany early. My best is 1528. It's a fun campaign that folks might enjoy watching - lots of wars and such. Again, thanks for all you do for the community.
10k likes reached where part 2 ludi dudi
The subjecation CB isn’t needed because Provence Can get cores on the entirety of Naples that can be used to your advantage. It takes longer to integrate provence but its less Ae and allows you to go through the Pope missions if you want.
I don't recommend doing it for the simple reason that you need to end the mission centralize France, to get rid of an annoying reform + you can become an empire. Well if you get the empire rank throught the HRE it don't matter tho.
PART 2 WHEN?? HUH? LUDIVICK WHERE IS IT?
47:11 - Ludi: "Make sure you DIRECTLY take that and you can give the rest of the provinces to your vassel!"
* Explains a mistake *
47:25 - Screen shows Ludi did not take the province directly 🥲
Yes he did, he directly clicked on it instead of using the return core feature, it was occupied by Naples, that's what he clearly meant.
I am aware that doing so makes a difference in war score etc. and that doing this clearly makes sense, but you gotta admit that Ludi did not really say that 😁
@@EaSkateVideo no he did, he said if you directly click to take the war goal, it's less war score, which is what happened.
Don't know if you're joking or not but what he meant by directly is just as he did instead of the other ones which he took over via the return core province peace deal interraction
I feel like France is the main character of the game, with Ottos being a close 2nd
Will you colonise as France in this run?
Hi Ludi hello from france just want to mention the fact that down in my street there is an romanian homeless and this guy's very kind and i want to do a nice thing to make his day but i dont what because i'm very low money, do you have idea? Like i can make some food for him for exemple 😊
Hey bro, some food and maybe a warm drink would likely make his day!
Montjoie ! Saint Denis !
I gotta ask Ludi. Increased levies exempts the nobility from seize land, does that ever impact your ability to seize land? Or do you ever have any issues revoking it later in the game?
Persia in King of Kings had become insane too, take a look, in particulary if you begin with Qara Qoyunlu complete the insane focus tree and after become persian focus tree. Oh dear it's dirty snowball.
"Can you for once in your life go out and smell the grass?" My hay fever would aggressively say no to that
Well done. Loved the „I‘m going to chill for several years… just taking some of the Irish maybe“ and then going for Naples (80AE!), Aragon and so on and so on. 😅
every update comes with a new "why france is the best country" video and i love it
Can you make lore friendly Revolutionary France run? I still have no idea how Revolutions work and how to deal with them so I guess it could be very helpful.
I missed the point, why didn't you take 3 mana point privileges at the start in order to complete that mission faster? And when you finally took them, after the mission was completed?
Where’s the save file
Please don't stop explaining the Estates - in fact you are welcome to explain more stuff you do economicly between wars as well.
France is the most powerful nation in EVERY patch.
baguette France is the best France. French baguette for all. Liberty Equality and baguette obviously
Heretic! Referring France as King of Kings!! Challenge to the Persian truth!!! LOL.
France, is truly the ultra powerful nation which I always play when I want to show the damn English their rightful place. Beneath the Fleur de lis, of course.
in every new patch france is still the most powerful maybe its because they were
I believe nobody who watches your videos plays the game 0 stability. I always purchase +1 if needs be
I get that BYZ is the best in KOK, but hear me out. Georgia. You get to PU russia and subjugate CB on all Persian nations through the tree. Then form BYZ, then Rome.
Paradox is such a devoted country that in their game they included a nation which French🤢 people live. Many wouldn't do that
Modern Star Trek is almost as bad as Disney Star Wars, although SNW is tolerable since it actually acts like a Star Trek show.
Day 13 requesting a non random civ with high american troops campaign conquering europe!! And a japan run focus in spices and mexican gold
What about being a biggest chad among the chads by conquering whole Europe as Kraków in Vic2, eh? ;)
I love you Ludi! Great video!!
Smash that like button if you want free croissants and baguettes delivered to your door otherwise Mr Bonaparte won't be happy
What was PDX on to think that France had cannosn in this time period. Literally only the Ottoman Sultanate did, nobody else was close
Damn i become HRE emperor but still didn't got the inheritance how does it work ?
Ludi make Poland run because they changed mission tree with PUs Czech
If I am not mistaken you can have Scotland as an ally and if you get the Burgundian inheritance and then click on the mission for that you inherit Scotland as well. I am not sure though it might've been a bug. When I was playing with my friend I played France and in 25 years I got the Burgundian inheritance so I got all the lowlands, I had control over all of England and for some reason when I did the mission after getting the Burgundian inheritance I integrated Scotland who was not a subject. I am still confused on if that was scripted or a bug
is it possible it's inheriting all pu's or is it just Scotland and burgundy. if the later, cool, but if it's the former, well it may be a little broken. like if i had a pu on burgundy, Scotland, castile, and Poland, would i inherit everyone?
ye and i get aggresive expansion over 9k just by taking 2 provinces as france....
Even more powerful than Byzantium?! Blasphemy!
33:12 Somebody likes a car bomb I see.
The moment you inheretited burgundy whole i was like f@ck it man that is not fair…. Jesssssusssss
"I love black holes" -Ludi et Historia 2023.
What is the button Ludi used for the black hole? Sometimes y really need it jajsja
Unsubbing for hating on my home Celje! Harumf I say!
As France, there should be a mechanic to land an appanage a la the Byzantines, the ability to appoint a new heir from your subjects is super useful and also fun for the LARP
You take Corsica and you got Napoleon, it's fine :)
Can you do indian vijayanagara empire conqueroring britan!
21:40 the cb on milan last for 25 years so you could wait until shadow kingdom
It can go away early though if they make certain event decisions and no longer have an eligible government to be a Junior Partner.
We all love Lubi ❤
Ok. Now gimme Brandeburg run and no one will be hurt.
LUDIII do i just declare on the pope to get avignon
I think he just forgot about Ireland :-)
can you play some kind of tribe in north or south america ?
Finally, we can be the Baguette of Baguettes
How about a new Teutonic order video? (0)_(0)
Wish they did the Napoleon movie justice…
Thank you for playing my favorite nation in EUIV!
A few days ago, did a French run and chose the dismantle the HRE path, literally like 6 months after I clicked that mission, I accidentally was elected emperor because Austria didn’t have a throne heir
Bad play. Should have checked your relations before you chose what to do
French ai in my games mustve have been watching this
Ah yes the resurgence of pax Francosphere 🇫🇷🇧🇪 🗿👌😎👍
Vive la Francophonie!
Hope you'll keep doing this one rather than turning it into a live like you did in Byz series. Some of us don't like warching multi hours lives at all...
A note on the French navy. They were known to have very fast ships, so the special modifier for +1 movement speed makes sense. Well done Paradox
What made them fast?
Go Protestant nobody ever goes Protestant France
Do you RP in your own head when you play? i know i do lol
France aka the meatgrinder of Europe
Vive la France!
just found out about the prosperity
Def not the strongest. Spain is WAAAAY stronger. With good RNG you can get a PU over Aragon, Portugal, Naples, Austria, Hungary, Burgundy, AND Bohemia by 1509. Also just as a baseline I'd say both Austria, Poland, Muscovy, and Ottomans are stronger
I think its fair to say that you are to the EU4 community what Otzdarva is to the DBD community, a funny goofy streamer with astounding game knowledge, making said knowledge easily digestible for the average player
I say facesitting instead of faceting
Updated army comp for early, mid, late. with episodes for west, east, muslim. etc PLZ! I'm still struggling with army comp!
"Release my next video"... I expected "...as a vassal" there. Maybe I've been watching and playing too much EU4 :D
Thanks for the video.
But Mr. Ludi, what's the difference in Patch 1.36 for the French? 🍟 Just kidding. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Ludi. But as a French I'd appreciate :
1- Set a Bourbon on the throne before annexing Bourbonnais pls just for historical flavour.
2- Bonaparte is written like this not Bonapart. I hope you'll like its movie 23rd of November !!!!
Cheers from Franc3 buddy !
For the naval part, if France didn't have to concentrate so many resources for its protection on the continent in the fortifications and its army (France being surrounded by hostile nations throughout its history, France which solo Q the Habsburgs for century is an example lol).
There is no doubt that she would have been able to actually wage war on the English at sea.
Already Historically, we have still manage numerous successes against the English on the Seas, we are the source of many advances and then well. The "Royale" was a beautiful Navy, and besides today the National Navy is more powerful than the Navy in my eyes.
Scottish appropriation how dare you! ;)
Scots? You mean swamp gauls? Jk jk
May I ask a newbie question? At 5:09, 26 ducats vanish. Where did they go? (and of course thanks for the video). As a newbie, I also appreciate the repetition of the obvious (since you asked). Last but not least, no matter how many times I try, I am invaded by other Austria, Flanders, Burgundy, Portugal and England with too many armies and the best I have achieved is not invading Portugal as a result.
I tried 10-12 run with france but i never become HRE empire even if i tried so hard, how do you become a emperor with france i stilll do not understand. Teach us papa ludi
comment for the algorithm god
I think that ludi like likes : D
Still no save game for me 😢
Ludi what do you think about espionage ideas giving like 20% to kill the enemy general during a battle?
We need neil degrass tyson to explain the eu4 blackhole time warping?
@neildegrasstyson
ik this is not related to france, but how do I get a game as ardabil without shirvan allying ajam? am I just unlucky?
Normandy ducal ring event is a quote from lord of the rings ? While that last guy "what are we waiting for?" is a Gimli ? xD it is some kind of reference or am i crazy ? :D
Ludi i have a challenge for you. Using doge's shattered europe mod with vanilla start date, play as the Palatinate of the Rhine and enable mythical conquerors. Your goal is to form the Rhenish nation
