Ive recently got into roguelikes and keep coming back to this channel in particular - really well done videos dude, i dont understand how this channel has less than 100k subscribers

I'm curious to know if you've tried Necropolis. It's abandonware but not a bad game once you get used to the combat/or get a weapon that isn't as clunky as your starting ones. Plus there aren't a lot of 3rd person roguelites out there..

I've played it a little bit but haven't really covered it. It's a really unique and incredible game, but I'm just so bad at it. Definitely planning to talk about it in some more videos once I feel like I have some competence at the game lol
I've heard it's surprisingly good. Maybe I'll grab it on steam and try it out soon. Weirdly small number of steam reviews tbh despite the shovel knight name.
have you ever tried fear and hunger? i don't really think that it's good for youtube because of how heavy it can get at times and it isn't really a roguelike unless you turn permadeath on but maybe you could try it for yourself instead, once again it's very bleak and it may make you uncomfortable in more ways than one.

Definitely don't need chess skills! It doesn't have that long term planning needed from chess. It's more short term and tactical
My high score on Pawnbarian (goblin cave) is 26 turns with 41 monstrosities killed, and took 7 damage and shielded from 5.

You should check out Malice & Greed, it's a roguelite thats like a cross of shin megami tensei and slay the spire

You should cover Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon on Switch. It's seriously amazing. My 2nd favorite game of the year behind Returnal.

This is news to me. I judged the game as a "mobile spin off". I will look into it as well.
