Thanks for watching my (super timely) video and hope you enjoyed it! I've decided that promising a return to a regular schedule might be a bad idea for me, but I do have more videos in the works that will come out when I get the chance to finish them.
Thanks for the list, there are some gems here. One Step from Eden really was tough! I kind of burned out on it after 25ish hours, but it was still good fun.
The first couple hours that I played One Step from Eden made me feel like I was awful at video games lol, but it is a lot of fun once I started to learn it
Nice to see you back. And nice video. Ember knights was on my watch too, since they first released the demo. The online and offline Co-op is especially nice for me since my friend sometimes comes over and we lack good games for that. On the other hand I got myself very busy, so even seeing and wanting to play all these games doesn't free up my schedule.
Thanks! Yeah the local and online coop is a really nice feature. And I can definitely relate to that. There are too many new games that I want to play with not enough time.
Cult of the Lamb was a lot of fun, though early on it had some bugs and there's some tedium to managing the cult at times, but I hope their first big DLC really does build up the Crusade/dungeon crawling side of the gameplay. The core has a lot of potential on top of the wonderful aesthetic. Ember Knights has improved *massively* since I picked it up back in the Rise of Praxis update, and there's a lot more depth to the game now.
@@InsertReviews For what it's worth, I think Monolith is my favorite roguelike. Interested in hearing your thoughts whenever you get around to it and Gunlocked 👍🏼
Excellent video as always 🙂 My favorite roguelike of the year was probably Nitro Kid. The soundtrack is incredible and I always enjoy games that blend Slay the Spire and Into the Breach gameplay. I’d recommend it, if you haven’t tried it out 🙂
I was very surprised to see One Step From Eden on this list. I guess it goes to show just how many roguelite/like games there are that you have not played this one. There are some things about the game that are tough, but oddly enough, the person who recommended it to me really liked how when you lost in the game, it usually was not just due to some dumb luck (like encountering a boss that doesn't match your current deck build in a deck-building roguelite), but likely due to one's lack of skill. One of the first things to master is figuring how out to dodge enemy attacks. Then it is determining what decks you want to build... and other lessons (which, yes, the game doesn't really guide you through).
The Void Rains Upon Her Heart is such a masterpiece in EA already. True a labor of love, with so much diverse builds, enemies, and gameplay patterns, plus a very unique setting. 328 100% positive reviews speak for itself
I like super auto pets. its like heartstone and story book brawl but you can take however long you want between turns and then it matches you to a similarly experienced team. you get a random shop each turn so I consider it a roguelite.
Super Auto Pets is great! I've personally gone back and forth on considering it a roguelite because it's multiplayer, but either way it's super fun and easy to pick up.
Like a new top 15 roguelites video? That's not a bad idea since my current one is quite outdated. I've been considering redoing my tier list video soon, so I'll probably make an update version of one of those sometime this year.
My dude, if you like roguelite and castle defense; tell me you've played Soul Knight? It has a tower defense mode that combines a roguelite element reminiscent to binding of Isaac and a basic central tower defense core.
I was looking forward to this summary video and I will probably give Vault of the Void a try, as I've had it on my wishlist for quite a while now. A question about Have a Nice Death: Have you played it on your Steam Deck after its 1.0 release? I want to purchase it on Steam, but there are reports of the game crashing on the Deck after 1.0.
Vault is a lot of fun! I just downloaded Have a Nice Death on my steam deck to test it out. I tried to run it a couple times and couldn't even get to the starting menu without the game crashing, so I'm having the same problem it seems.
@@InsertReviews I highly recommend it. I'd love to see you make like a review of it. It's not as complicated as other traditional roguelikes. Although the only other traditional roguelike I've played is caves of qud lol.

Mods for it are really fun too! I haven’t played in a long time but even back then there were a ton of mods
Bless you for this video!! My fav genre of games, I can't get enough

I really like your no nonsense focused review style.. thanks for the video
Was looking forward to this vid. You should check out _Gunlocked_ (and _Monolith_ ) if you haven't already!
Monolith has been in my steam library forever and I need to actually play it. Never heard of Gunlocked! Will add it to my list.

Yesss i eagerly waited for this video!
Amazing review! Thank you!
I like your yearly summaries, no matter when they come out

Thanks! I tried a demo for Nitro Kid a while ago which I enjoyed, but I need to actually try the full game now that it's out.

It really is a true labor of love
Revita is so underrated, hopefully more people would know of it
love your videos man : ) Got the void rains upon her heart due to this video
Thanks! Hope you enjoy Void as much as I did

Any chance of getting an uppdate video on your all time top roguelites/likes?

You really need to play Across the Obelisk. Its such a masterpiece!
It's been in my library for a while now! Definitely want to try it
Yes!
great video
Thanks for the videos friend. Have you seen Devil Slayer Raksasi? Curious what your thoughts are on that one.
Not yet! It's been installed on steam deck since I got it but need to actually boot it up lol
bro, can you tell me, what roguelike game i can play with my friends?
have you ever played rift wizard?
I haven't! I haven't played many traditional roguelikes honestly, but I've heard good things about Rift Wizard

So many voids
Truly the year of the Void lol
Shame brutal orchestra wasn’t here 😞
first comment!
Bullet hell spawned bullet heaven, so logically deck builders will spawn deck destroyers.
A genre in which you start with 50 cards and end with the top 10, then have to kill a boss which only has 1 possible move.
Algorithm
Voice kills it
'Promo SM'
