Norah-Those placemats look great-everything looks great paired with different black/white prints-can’t go wrong and the log cabin would be a darling baby quilt! While babies do gravitate to Bl/Wh for some time-once placed on top of colorful quilts they reach out and are stimulated by the color blocks too!

Love it all! I was secretly hoping you would cut the placemat tops diagonally and pair with a solid or something. The inspiration you got from the process sure made that baby quilt just adorable. I think my mouth dropped open 😲 when I saw it!

I had my doubts when you first started, but I loved the first one you did. I also really like the one you put together. They both were nice. I love the colored strips with the black & white. I had to subscribe as I’m Nora too LOL! Love those placemats once they were put together, and just gotta have those busy collage fabrics you showed at the start….wow. I looked up the website which I’m excited about, but will keep searching, won’t give up that easy! Blessings to you my friend!
I really love the quilt top! The colorful strips make me think of the I Spy books that my kids had when they were young. Great job combining the colors with the black and white! So fun!

The coloured fabrics are fantastic - perhaps make them the main single colour and the blacks as the accents instead.

You said it. I feel the same way. If I put my meal on that place mat it would ruin my appetite. Worst of all what hurts is you ruin all those beautiful fabrics. Try doing all the placemats from one single fabric print.
