👍 Whole food plant based for the environment and health; vegan for the victims!

I try to actively try to listen to very quiet things. The other things listed in this video are spot on, lots of really good studies.

Yeah, I had a teen student whose hearing was weakened due to her listening to music too loudly from her earphones.

This might be good for the young folks but my ears and my gut took a real beating for the first 48 years of my life. I did start using earplugs with -any- noise maker long before I changed my diet. I'll use plugs to run a vacuum, sometimes a hairdryer is too much. The ringing is real. The noise saturation of our urban/suburban areas is way too much for me. I won't live there again. No change in my hearing loss or tinnitus in nine years (that's how long I've been reading/watching Dr. Greger, and have eaten WFPB) but my health otherwise did substantially change.

I've joked with myself Gregor would never cover "hearing loss" topic because for many years he has use very loud intro music.

How about constant ringing in your ears? Any studies that show what can help that?

It's funny how just today I felt like getting back to my daily dose of oatmeal & bought a bunch of blueberries ( my favourite thing to go with)& Dr greger spilled the beans on this..... Is there anything blueberries CAN'T do?😅

It's technically 'bradycardia' if under 60 bpm. But in the real world, you only have a problem if your low heart rate brings with it symptoms. Vertigo, dizziness and nausea, especially when suddenly standing from a sitting position, are difficult to ignore. Talk to your doctor about it. Otherwise, enjoy your life. As a rule, you'll live longer with a slower heart rate than a faster one. (My wife has had a low heart rate all her life and is pushing eighty, is healthy as a horse and takes NO pharmaceutical drugs of any kind).

Whenever there is a question in the title like "How to" do this or that, the answer is: With a whole-food, plant-based diet.

Is it true, what I've read about the lining in your ears wearing thin & being able to slowly have it go back to normal with certain nutrients (like 1 in sticky beans)?
I'd like to know if that was fake/a scam. It sounds too good to be true, but it made sense to me.
It would be SO nice to have this tinnitus finally gone (or lessened) after having it most my life (people blasted music, screamed & even shot a cap gun directly in my ears. Silent rooms are DEAFENING, I "need" sound).

I woke up one morning with my hearing in the right ear gone along with the part that keeps your balance functioning. I've been on dr gregers type diet now for a year and am hoping it may help with that and more of my overall health.

You should check with a dr. When I asked mine about it he said it was bubbles in my inner ear, and that it would go away on its own (it did)

See a doctor; with balance issues it could be Minieres Disease though I don't think there's much they can do & it's not life threatening.

Does not address early childhood repeated ear infections and antibiotics to treat ear infections. Or, in my case - an 80 y.o. woman, no treatment.

Doc, I love so much your content, but pleaaaase stop show animals testings results as it is something valuable. Those who found it valuable must check the vocabulary about what it means sympathetic and empathic living beings, if they forgot who they are. This is not a science. Only observation, no interferences. Peace ✌️.

I very much appreciate this channel, but I am getting a little bit tired of this trend of reuploading the same content repeatedly by merging several previous uploads together as one longer upload.

To be fair, they make it pretty obvious - that's just what the podcasts and flash back fridays are. If you don't like them, just look at the rest of the content.

The nice thing about the compilations is that not only are they a great review, but they also eliminate the Dr Greger "cliffhanger effect", by putting all the information on the topic in one place, without us having to wait or search for it. 🌱
