Hi Al. You have brought this old Matchbox kit to a great model. Your camouflage paintwork looks more than well. Very impressive and a cool vintage model. With this nice little vignette surely a good addition to your Matchbox collection. Best wishes, Joachim
Just seeing the box art brought back memories of building this kit in our downstairs laundry way back in the early eighties and being quite pleased with how it came out..really wish I still had even one of the kits I built in those long gone days.
I understand this sentiment, a very real emotion for those who built these kits in our youth, which is why I build them, over and over again. If you want me to, I will send you a re-pop of a Matchbox kit (by Revell) at no expense to you. Email me at deaconsford@gmail.com if you want me to send you one as I will need your address.👍👍😉
@@alwoodsmodellingmayhem extremely kind and generous of you and very much appreciated but sadly I live in Australia and I those overseas postage costs are a real killer ☹
Hi Al. One of my favourite tanks. That low silhouette is so menacing and that long slender barrel is what I like about it. I built my version of this kit as a vehicle in the very early stages of the Battle of the Bulge. So I made mine look like it is got frost over it. I picked out the edges with three different shades of white to impart depth. Then I threw on some foliage and frosted that too. Two crew figures rounded it off. I put mine on the base from the Chaffee kit. I put a 'dead' figure in the gun pit and frosted the ground. I won first place in a competition and got a huge trophy for it. So this model holds good memories for me , I still have it in my collection and maybe I might get another one soon. To replicate scratches on dark brown use a lighter shade of brown and a touch of red oxide to show depth. Nice job buddy, well done.
Great job. A kit from a time when modeling was supposed to be plain old fun. Never thought about stippling the camo scheme with a brush. At that scale the air brush can be a bit much. 🍻
@@1hackmodeller557 I'm guessing because these kits were around when you were younger? If so, build it now and then get another one mate! The fun, the memories is what makes these kits more than plastic.👍😉

those matchbox armour kits are very nice models, I have the char B and FT17 kit in my stash (albeit a revell version) and I keep a couple of those bases around to sit any armour builds on, and can't for the life of me remember what the original kits were they came from!

Hi there , cool model and nice channel! I was wondering if you or anyone could help there was a man named nigel keys who used to post on youtube but i forget the name of the channel thanks everyone
Thank you sir, I appreciate it.👍👍😉 A few years back when Nigel stopped posting videos, I got in touch with the police as I was concerned. They told me that he had been taken into care and then I was able to contact a Social Worker who was looking after Nigel. As you say he has stopped posting again and I regret that although I had a point of contact, I have not been able to learn anything about Nigel this time. As I am not family my enquiries would be restricted.
