I’m an anorak and proud of it too. I LOVE the TB1 launch sequence, even with its flagrant lack of H&S at the beginning. Scott doesn’t even hold onto the rails as he crosses! 😂 But nearly sixty years on and it’s still as fresh to watch as the first time I saw it.
I knew of the different angle for the launch from Terror in New York City, and the different angle when TB1 goes down its escalator to the silo. I never noticed the bit with Scott’s eyebrow being caught though. Brilliant observation! 😀

Enjoyable video, thanks. One point about Thunderbird 1 being in slightly different angles for a few frames maybe because of the single support wire needing to untwist. Ian Wingrove spoke about the difficulties of having to get the support wire precisely over the model and then lifting it to allow it to rotate and straighten the wire.

Real world reason, as this video states - to keep the '1' orientated towards the camera.
In universe reason: there's a turntable on the platform so that TB1 can launch with the minimum of course corrections needed once it's airborne (based on where it's going and weather systems in effect at launch)

Excellent work, a true labour of love! One thing I only noticed recently: The curving duct next to Scott's entrance into the bay is surely meant to be Virgil's chute. Only problem is (aside from being curved instead of a few connected straight sections): it's on the wrong side.

I feel like as someone who who can pick out certain episodes for sounds per say.
To keep this simple in some episodes there are some instances where the engine roars, whines, rockets firing ect are done either well or they sound a little lackluster.
For example in Security Hazard when TB1 returns and rotates in to the vertical landing position for the pool.
It sounds like it came in HOT from flying for a bit then the engines shift completely as Scott shifts it's orientation then we hear the main engines roar a bit as it descends in to it's blast silo underneath the pool haha.
Similarly, Trapped in the Sky being the debut episode has a very simple version of the transition from vertical to horizontal flight.
Basically as Scott pushes on the levers to change mode.
I feel later episodes did the sound effects MUCH better as they learnt to mix the sounds better and all that fun stuff.

I've often thought the second pan up TB1 launch shot in 30 Minutes After Noon was used in error - as you quite rightly say, it's *really* wobbly.
The TBAG TB1 appears to rotate 180 degrees on its trolley as (ignoring the main THUNDERBIRD text which is sometimes on both dorsal and ventral surfaces of the craft in the show) the side decals are facing the opposite direction.

"Cavilier attitude to continuity" you are certainly not wrong there. Trapped in the Sky has Thunderbird One flying at 7,500 mph (Mach 9.85), which impressed the heck out of the London ground controller. Move - and You're Dead, has has Scott putting his foot down in TB1, speed is 15,000 mph (Mach 19.7). So it appears the Tracy Boys tootle along at 50% speed for normal rescues.
Still an excellent sequence you have of TB1 launches. The outfits that Scott and virgil are are a big giveaways as to which launch sequence we may get. Scott in his Blue check jacket means we get the gentry shot to get into TB1. Virgil's leather jerkin's means we generally get the most of the slide and chair scene into TB2.

I honestly thought some of these different takes were the exact same footage. Always thought some episodes showed the footage at normal speed, while others sped it up slightly. Like Virgil at 0:33 and Scott on the other side of the revolving wall. Though in the latter, I did notice something going on with Scott's eyebrow in most episodes, while in one episode, they somehow managed to fix this. Pity they didn't just stick with this take with Scott's eyebrow untouched. Guess they didn't notice this at the time as video assist probably wasn't as good back then as it is today.

Given the quality of most colour TV's at that time though, it's doubtful anyone would have noticed. Has anyone tried upscaling each available episode using modern AI technology?
