ISLAND HOPPING Super Clear Lake! (Multi Species Summer Fishing) (Lake George 2021)

What’s up guys and welcome back to the channel for our final send off video as I head back to college! (More on that below). In this one we take the jon boat out to one of the most legendary lakes in all of New York and even in the Northeast- Lake George! We get there early and the objective is to explore the pristine waters and multitude of islands in search of fat smallies and anything else that bites. This one was super fun to film and I don’t get to fish Lake George often so make sure ya’ll hit that sub and like button to show some support. I truly appreciate all the support guys!

BAITS/ GEAR:
I used like 6 different combos, so here are the main ones that got it done (In order of fish caught):
-Abu Garcia Revo X paired with a Daiwa Aird-X 7’ MH rod (light treble applications)
-Daiwa Crossfire reel paired with Fenwick Eagle 6’ light rod (drop shot/ ultralight combo)
-Pfleuger President Spinning Combo 7’ Medium (light single hook applications)

WHAT I PLAN ON DOING WHILE AT COLLEGE:
As I mentioned before, I did end up moving in for my sophomore year at the University of Pittsburgh. While there are SOME fishing opportunities there, I do not have my car and thus will not be able to consistently upload until I get back home. HOWEVER, I did join the fly fishing club so at least expect to see some videos from that as we approach fall. I wish I could have done something differently, but this is just how it’s gunna have to be for a couple months. Thank you guys for all the support as always and I hope ya’ll stick around to see what comes in the future!

Great vid, I own a cabin on a small lake 20 min from Lake George and we used to island camping which was great !
What marina/ramp did you use to launch the boat?

I’ve always wanted to island camp! We used Norowal but they overcharge for parking and launching so wouldn’t recommend

lake george is a perfect lake for worms. ive been fishing near tigoneroga for years and trust me its the best

I Find throwing a drop shot with a worm in about 20 feet of water with weeds on the bottom best up there.

Drop shot is for sure a deadly technique! I like anything nice and subtle when fishing up at LG

For me the best way to get some bites is drop shot and the biggest fish I got just a couple of days ago was 2.5

Curios, where did you guys launch out of? Seems to be not too many public boat launches. A few years ago I launched at Castaway Marina but now they are no longer public.

It was out of Norowal. I don’t recommend, it was like $25 to launch and $50 to park for the day. Super overpriced, but good location to launch I guess lol
