How to Propagate Succulents by Division (Offsets)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 гру 2016
- An "offset" is a clone produced by, and attached to, a mother plant. Aaron Ryan, general manager of Succulent Gardens nursery in Northern CA, shows how he pulls apart (divides) a tightly packed colony of agave pups and starts them as individual plants.

Debra you have an outstanding channel!
I’ve seen your pictures for years, I was surprised to see you here and even more surprised how good all your videos are.
Great stuff! Keep it up!
I wish we were neighbors
Gosh I need to do a better job of getting the word out about my channel! I'm very glad you found it. Re being neighbors, not all of mine would agree. Poorly maintained yards and "weed farms" make me snarl.
I LOVE propagating succulents from their 'offsets' and its so much fun :-) thanks so much for sharing this Debra and Aaron and sending you an abundance of love and happy growing from Ireland and have a brilliant weekend XXXX
How cool is that?? i wish i had seen one of those bigger plants he mentioned~
Thank you for these informative videos! I do learn something out of each one of them. Please continue with this great work. Succulents, even though people say are the easiest plants to keep alive, I find that in order to keep them gorgeous looking, do require a lot of expertise. I was a beginner a few months ago but videos let yours really helps me learn. I am more comfortable now and I would like to go more indepth and these recent clips are perfect!
I think the camera man may need some help..
Thanks, Nate. We did have some technical difficulties (due to the last-minute nature of the video) but I felt the content merited releasing it regardless. I hope you and other viewers agree!
Where do you get liner trays? Love your videos!
Thank you, Sarah! I simply save them from nursery purchases of flats of plants. You might get the word out that you're looking for them to your garden club, community website, or ask a nursery if you can purchase a few.
Is this nursery open to public? Where is it?
what is that tray called at 2:50?
"A 72-count liner tray." Btw, anytime you're watching one of my videos and are wondering what was said, click the CC in the box at lower right (for closed captions) and the words will appear on the screen.
I just need to make sure I didn't hear it wrong, because I couldn't find the same tray he uses on amazon.ca and ebay.ca. Are there any alternatives to call this type of tray?
Try googling "plant nursery supplies," "72 cell pack," or "plant propagation tray."
thank you
Lots of camera sounds.
Apologies.
