i like that you protected the spider and told us how useful they are to protecting the plant.
Yes! They are so helpful!
“Buy one plant get 6 free” [Home depot been real quiet since] 😂
Started out with four and now I just can't stop buying them...... everytime I see them sitting all sad in a grocery I just have to get them and they're usually already named by the time I'm in the car😆
This is a story we are all very familiar with ;)
Naming them Awww....so cute
Same happened with me. I am so obsessed with succulents now
I named one of my haworthias plasticy
You just described my life XD
i love the way you handled the echeveria Lola. So nicely took away the pumice, then dug up the plant, then separated the pup. Everything done carefully slowly and lovingly. So nice really.
Thank you Christina!
I love ALL of your videos! I am a succulent "newbie" and must say I'm learning quite a bit from you. It is a very addicting hobby, but I love it! Please do more of the removing offsets in the future :)
Thanks Susan!! It's sooo addicting!

I love how you have such a calm energy, I'm in southwest florida my mom just moved to Arizona, and we've always been so close. At 20 you think your ready for anything but with her being so far for the first time I suddenly realized I didn't know as much as I thought; she left me her plants, and when I stated missing her I took therapy in the plants! Recently have been adding to a growing succulent collection and trying to propagate my first batch of 10 leaves, I wake up everyday and check to see if they have roots! I also grab my computer and sit outside watching your videos! Love the way you talk about the plants and also filming style! It's nice to listen while I'm playing/moving around my "lil baby" succulents. Being in Florida's 70% humidity has been a learning curve for me with these plants! Thank you for all of your knowledge & also comfort during this crazy transitional time!
Hi Sky! This is all so sweet...and yep, many of us find great solace in our plants/gardens. I laughed when you said you check for roots everyday... don't you know a watched prop never grows? ;) Or it seems soooo slow... we've all been there! The secret is to have a lot of plants to distract you in the meantime :D
I'm in the same humidity boat... two fans on the porch to keep the air moving seems to do the trick. I listen to a lot of podcasts and free audiobooks while I work - mostly classics and it's lovely having someone read to me while being able to play in the dirt ;) Thank you for watching and dropping me this lovely note. I'm easy to catch on Instagram @sucsforyou if you have any questions AND you can come join our group if you'd like! A lot of people from Houston and similar climates to yours....I'll show you some other groups with great helpful people too - facebook.com/groups/sucsforyou/
Yesss! You're the best I followed the fb groups and beautiful insta! Fans on the porch is a great idea, I've got one and never thought about turning it on for the succulents! Thanks for the feedback
Welcome welcome!!

I got into beauty shopping as therapy but have always loved gardening I think before even birth! Lol! Now I been collecting different cacti and they are slow but some grow faster. Appreciate this video as I been transplanting many soon will have a cacti jungle in my patio. Have grown a few beautiful hibiscus also! Beauty (makeup) and gardening I love colors! Happy gardening it is very therapeutic, also a nice long walk/run. I live in S. California near Venice beach/Santa Monica.
This tutorial was so helpful. I like that you zoom in so we can see up close how to properly do it. Thank you for that!
Thank you AZPam! 😘
Ive just started my succulent journey this last year and am loving it. You have to read and learn so much. Thank you for your advice. These take a lot of patients and care.
I just love this Echeveria. The shape of the leaves is beautiful. So perfect. Thanks.
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I LOVE YOUR VIBE! I can't wait to watch more of your videos! Thanks for putting out this great content :D
Thank you!!! :D
I have recently found your channel. I love about 1hr away north from Houston. I’m a total newbie so I’m excited to learn. I’m very impatient so I check them everyday, but I’m learning this hobby takes time.🌵
Beautiful succulents you have. Thanks for sharing this with us
Love this one... I watched this one when I took my baby haworthias out. So helpful.
I have an ech letizia hybrid and its quite an aggressive grower. I was amazed it growing so rapidly overnight when I first got it, stretching toward the window
Thank-You for posting this! I am one month into my succulent journey, and I am so excited!! I am currently trying to figure out the best way to re-pot my babies; together, separately, next size up in pots or just go super large 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I'm wanting to learn!! (Im also from Texas, Conroe area- but living in Florida)
Thank you for sharing on how to do the cutting of offsets ang repoting it ...
I got a giant Echeveria from IKEA a couple of days back and there are 4 big pups shooting out, which I'm going to separate and repot. This is very helpful, so thank you!
All of your plants are looking so happy and healthy :) Love the Rose quarts - I collect crystals and succulents - they go together so nicely
Hey Michael! Thanks! I am glad I've kept up with my rocks for so many years - they do pair nicely with our plants!

I absolutely love your Lola specimen! It's so healthy and pretty
It's stretched out
Prasenjeet Saha actually, that is just how the plant grows! You can tell that a plant is etiolated if it’s leaves have a lot of space between them, which Lolas do not. Look up pictures on google, and you’ll see :)
First video I've seen of yours, didn't see your screen name until you said it. Made me laugh, love it! Thank you for sharing❤️🌿
Video on the right time
Thank you so much
Great demo - thank you for sharing. I am on my second rendition of my first suc garden. Have lots of babies to take care of soon so this is timely.
Happy to help!! Enjoy your babies :)
Beautiful plants. Love to watch such videos during quarantine time. Stay home stay safe.
Thank you! You too!!
I love that you so soft with your plant.. Someone never care for its.
Enjoyed, liked and subscribed! Succulents are my new love. Thank you!
😘 Thank you Deb!
Holy crap! your Lola is GORGEOUS!!!
I love your videos, I am inspired to create my own succulent garden. I am more confident now of how to handle my over brown succulents... Thank you...And keep posting g new ideas
Thank you! Happy gardening!!
In my opinion, it is good if we can change the soil during first repotting, after buying it from supermarkets. I found that the soil they use is not suitable for long term.
Nice collection you have there! Hello from Malaysia! ❤️
Yes, you are right!
Beautifull little pieces of art they are
I am repotting a tiny overgrown succulent and have 21 small offshoots. I only realized I had so many because a buried centipede startled me into dropping it!
Watching this now to see what to do do and you encountered a spider too!
Great video and such a beautiful succulent Andrea! I have an Echeveria Lola and I can't wait till she gets that big lol Thank you so much for sharing!
Gracias Stacey!
It's so cool to see other succulent moms from Houston 🌱💕
I agree! And there are quite a few of us!!
Vanessa Bee I know, I feel so connected.
I have a FB group for locals and others and if you find me on Instagram I can tag you in a local group post so you can see who all is in the area!
CC-ing you too Barbara -- I have a FB group for locals and others and if you find me on Instagram I can tag you in a local group post so you can see who all is in the area!
Sucs For You! I would love to be apart of them!
Just found your channel! Subscribed! Finally someone who knows what they’re talking about and isn’t boring!
A lot of plant people are boring, I’ve worked for a few nurseries and garden centers and it motivates me to motivate younger people to get to doing plant related things!
que amor essas suculentas , linda por demais bjs
Thanks so much I have two babies coming underneath my succulent and I had no idea what to do!!!!! You saved my plants YAY thanks
YAY!! Glad to help!!!
I just got into succs bout a month ago...i figured if i could make babies from them then i could probably grow them. So far so good got a couple that have hairs and little growths...from Houston also! Alief
Propagation- nation! And hello from HTOWN! I hope your babies grow nice and strong - it's a bit more challenging here w/ our heat and humidity but just think... their babies will be little hulks!
I have a zebra baby and will save this for future propagating. I’m in zone 9B CA. Your Lola is so pretty
Thanks for the response. I will try.
Great video, very informative and fun to watch....thanks for sharing.
Hi sexy
I'm new to succulent's to and LOVE IT SO MUCH but sadly where i live u can only grow certain ones.
I love your videos, so much good information. I just started with succulents and I'm so glad I found your videos because they were sure to meet a quick demise with my over watering. I pulled them all out of the wet soil and I'm mixing some new soil for them now. I just bought them from Home Depot last week.
I live in Tampa, FL and the days are already up to between 85 and 95 degrees. We haven't had much rain yet, our rainy season is usually mid to late summer. My question is, can I put these succulents and cacti in the morning sun or do you think it's too intense and will burn them? I currently have them on my screened lanai where they only get indirect light, no direct rays and I'm concerned they won't get enough light.
I was going to attach pictures but there's not an option here in the comments section.
This video was very helpful! I've got a new succulent mom that is growing a baby and got a bit worried but now I know what to do
Awesome!! Good luck!
About to repot a succulent trio brought back from IKEA and the firecracker has shot out a pup, so this was super helpful, thank you! Xx
Awesome! I got a Haworthia from IKEA 5 years ago and it's still really happy!
@@SucsForYou can I just leave the babies on the plant I'm lazy😔
@@tonitone1160 Absolutely lol!
I’m new here, just wanted to say hi! Loved this video and I’m starting to get into succulents lately as a hobby ❤️
Hi! Thanks for dropping by! Have fun! :D
Im so GLAD u saved the little spider......! Enjoyed ur show. Just discovered u!!....u seem very sweet...me too TEXAS cept far West!! I learned smt new ...yea! I saved a spider today was late 4 WORK..got in trouble.....i would do it again.....pooi organic garden ..leave our delicate eco-dysems3 alone....lots critters out here TOO!! Karen fr WTexas
Thanks for the very helpful tutorial! Also, I love how you choose to keep the spider on the plant to keep away pests. I found a spider on my succulent, freaked out, and just killed it XD.
Great information will definitely come back to watch more
I've lost so many of these not knowing what to do with them & bought a chick n' been over the summer with a bunch of babies, going the babies would just spread in my new pot, but they've not come away from the Mama very much?? I did not cut them away yet, so they're still just growing from underneath. It's getting to be fall, so I guess I'll cut them away??
I'm very appreciative of your videos!!
My favorite hwawortia zebra. Nice vlog .happiness in leaf 🍃 vlog
Very helpful video!!! At 8:00 in the video, I was wondering if you would let that piece develop roots before putting in a pot, or do you just put it right in the pot? Thanks!
Love your videos. So informative.
Thanks Kristy!! :D
One of my succulents had pups growing between the leaves going up the stem. I have no idea what to do! I just saw it today, so this video was my first stop trying to figure it out 😬
I love these thank you for all the great tips
Thanks!
This is a really helpful video! 🙏😊I received some free succulents from my sister-in-law today and there are pups on some of them. 😁😊I didn't know how to go about it until I saw this video! Thank you so much!
Awesome!! Thanks for letting me know it helped ;) And those are my favorite type of sucs...free! :D
Sucs For You! I know, right!!! 😄😁😃 I'm driving 128 miles right now to get some more! Also free! Well, technically not, 'cause I'm spending for gas, but I'm pretty sure I'm going home with a ton of them. I need them for my new home. 😆😆😆😍😍😍 I'm making my backyard an exclusive to succs backyard...at least, around my patio in the back! 😊😊😊 sorry, comment got soooo long...can't stop raving over succs! 😊😁
HA!! Now that's commitment :) Come show us what you got in the group soon! facebook.com/groups/sucsforyou/
Sucs For You! Thank you so much! I'm on my way home now. I didn't get a lot. I was too shy to take as much as I wanted. I'll have to buy more. 🤣😁
Beautiful succulent thanks for this video it was very helpful
Thank YOU!
Hi beautiful girl
Great video as always, thank you!
Thank you Erin!
I have a question someone gave me some cuttings of succulents what is the best way to plant them do I just plant them in the dirt or do I have to let them on the end crust over until they grow a root
Thank You I know now that I need to let them grow a little more to cut them
I like them as bunch also
Hello! How long does it take before a haworthia make pups? Thankiess
Einfach super toll 😊
Vielen Dank!!
thanks for the newest video! I really enjoy seeing all of your plants. quick question, do you spritz your cuttings and leaves to help with roots to grow? I have heard some people say it is better and others say dont do it!
Thanks for watching!! So I'm on the 'don't water till roots' side of the fence. If they don't have roots, they have no way to take in water. Misting leaves does nothing but make them wet and they don't really like having wet leaves. Once the cuttings are dry, you can pot in damp soil, but again, no roots = no drink. The moisture may help keep them fresh if it's really hot out or if they weren't hydrated before being propagated, but without roots, they have no way to take in he moisture. Unless they're lithops and similar species that can absorb moisture through all of their surfaces... and you really don't want to get those wet!
Thanks, great info.
Those zebra ones I have two they are so cute! I find a bit of shade is best for them. The planter I have bear my rosemary giving only a bit of shade that one is greener than my other planter in full sun is gone all grey color I’ll move to a more shady spot.
I think you're right!
Hello what does it mean to leave it to dry up?
I have an echevaria variant with pups and not sure what to do after snipping it off
I’m new to this but I do recognize that my purple plant has 10 babies😄thanks for this video👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great video!
Ma'am plz make a video on how to propagate it
Do you have any recommendations on where to buy succulents in Houston? Ive been to several nurseries with no luck. I typically just go to lowes/home depot
I
Kmbb
Fred Reyes Nursery in Simonton is succulent heaven!
lauren gheorghe that sucks Home Depot doesnt got the goods at least in San Diego.
lauren gheorghe they have some now at heb and walmart i just got some this past week (;
Great video
I have an echeveria that needs to be repotted and separated. There are probably seven rosettes total. The stems are VERY long. When you mentioned the video to let it form a callous and dry out, how long does that take? Should the cuttings be kept in sunlight?
How long do you need to let the baby callous over before repotting it?
I had cut off my baby succulent from its mother at the midway point of the stem ? The cut was not up against the mother plant stem :( Now my mother plant has random stems sticking out from its main stem . I am worried the stems will hurt my mother succulent such as rot ? Since the cut portions of the stems are covered in soil . Should I pull the plant out again and cut the excess stems sticking out ? thank you!!
What's the difference between an Echeveria Blue Rose and an Echeveria Lola? I have a succulent that looks very similar to the two but I can't figure out which one it is. Does care vary between either plant type?
How long do you have to dry them for and how do you replant them?
Hi hello I’m new subscribers watching from California good propagation tips thanks for sharing stay safe plants are so beautiful
Thanks and welcome!!
Wonderful video, thank you very much, I love your channel
Thank you!
Hi Andrea! Eds here from @TerraPod in Instagram. That Lola looks really great!
Hey there!! Fancy running into you here :D
Help?? I have an Echeveria Lola, and there is a sprout coming out the top. What is it? Why is it doing that? Thank you!
What do you use to keep bugs away ?
So CUTE
I've seen some new leaves coming out of my haworthia, but I dont know if I should remove them as in separate them or not. I mean what's the criteria, why not let them all grow together?
You can leave them together or separate them to make more room in the pot or give some away :)
This has been very helpful for me today! Also, are those diamond doves I hear in the background?
I'm glad it helped! And I'm pretty sure they're white-winged doves :)
Hi. Could you suggest a website where they ship succulents outside USA . Thanks
You could use a small spoon to remove most or your little rocks. I use one and it does come in handy. You should give it a try. It also save your fi her nails
i been having truble with tjust this plant, i been finding the "Head" keeps braking off from the main root, i bought these as a fridge magnet, and also i bought 2 to plant... i dont know whenns the best time to water these or best way to take care of them. plz help with any info thanks ^^
You can send pics and ask in the FB group! It will much easier to help that way - facebook.com/groups/sucsforyou
Super helpful and useful. Subscribed :)
Hi thanks for sharing the videos.I just want to know which materials you use to grow succelants. basically I want to know about the soil and compost for succelants
Hi Amit! My potting 'recipe' is posted here: sucsforyou.com/care-tips/#soil
Wonderful!
What do normally do with the flower stalks on the echeverias? Can you propagate them?
You can try to propagate the leaves along the stem - I don't believe the stems will propagate a new plant though but that doesn't mean you should try :)
Beautiful thank you for sharing this video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Help someone plz
I live in wickenburg AZ today was 104" how can I put my succulent outside with those temps plus we have wild hogs that live to eat my plants?? I have cactus out there any suggestions thx u. P
I have quite a naughty baby succulent that can't seem to pop off. Can I just get rid of most of the roots, leaving only the ones that easily came out with the plant?
How I will take care of the succulents during the winter season in Houston. Can I leave them in my porch all day and night or I should put them inside of my garage. Thanks
There might be a couple of weeks where the temps stay in the 40s ... you may want to put them somewhere warmer while still providing good light. If you can't give them good light, cut waaaay back on watering before it gets cold to induce dormancy ;)
I love your videos! I’m learning a lot. Once the echo Echeveria babies are removed....how long should it sit out to callous? And then when you pot in fresh succulent soil...do you water right away?
Please watch my newest video - it's linked in the video description 🙏
Thank you.
i actually live like 35 mins from Houston i have tons of succulents i just started propagating
It's never just a few, is it? :D
Love your channel name! ❤
Thank you!
i love your videos . I wonder where would you reccomend i buy seeds or succulents from on the internet? ty
Thanks Shelley! I have a few suggestions here: sucsforyou.com/where-to-buy-succulents/
I have a lot of succulents but now I can have even more!
That's the best thing about them!
