- Опубліковано 21 тра 2023
- This striper measured at 48 inches and had to be pushing close to 40 pounds. An awesome day of shore fishing at the cape cod canal for sure, definitely a trip I will remember for a long time! I would say the big bass are back in town... thanks for watching!

Some of the best content creators in the game!! At the canal of all places!! I was there Sunday morrning an I wish I had jumped over to the cape side. Looks like y’all had a blast.
Appreciate it man! Honestly got kinda lucky lol right place right time
It’s always right place, right time. Lol 😆
Bravo!
First cast at the canal you catch a 48 incher that’s great 😂
Haha it was a lucky catch honestly
Damn nice fish great start to the year.Go Jonny!!!
Great job big fish woah
Where I'm at the keeper size is 26.7" and 1 per day
I'll be out tomorrow. Tight lines!
So spent all last week at Scusset campground in our RV just across the canal from where you're at in Sandwich. I HAMMERED them all week!!! I told my wife I'm spoiled from this trip. Last year the same week down there I caught two the entire week. Last Wednesday just up from you and your buddy on the Scusset side I hooked up eight bass in an hour and a half. It was INSANE fishing last week! PB was down the West End three years ago at the Maritime Academy beach. 40+Lb fish in late September on top water. That day they were bustin from one side of the canal to the other.
Love fishin the canal!!!
That's awesome! I really don't fish the canal much but it is an awesome fishery and definitely hope to get up there more
@@Fish-RI Always trying to figure out where you're at in the kayak in RI...freeze frame and look for things I recognize on the shore...haha...little spy action :) I do my fair share of fishin in RI. Love Charlestown Breach in November. Was in my waders at the mouth of Pettaquamscutt three weeks ago. Nothin bitin but a beautiful day at the beach :)
Congratulations on 48 inches 🔥🔥
Congrats man, friggin tank is right!
Hi Jonny congrats on the good size slot and thank you for saving the population you rock also were in the canal this nice area is i fish a lot of jigs and softy but i never bean to this this side of the canal and i would like to go please
Cape Cod canal , my bucket 🪣 list. Good job Jonny 👏 👍.
Thanks man! It's definitely a very unique place to fish
Great post dude! Nice catch. The savage eel stands up to the current really well, I've seen some guys cast it almost completely across the canal.
Definitely one of those lures you can just absolutely bomb out, sinks down to the bottom quick too
Was gonna go out Saturday but wasnt prepped for the rain. Killer
Awesome vid man, respect on the C&R on that beast!
Great job on that big guy. 42 is my pb.
Awesome video 👏🏽👏🏽
Big fish alarm LOL!!
I’m watching this on my couch, but headed for buzzards bay tomorrow morning Tuesday 23l looking for sea bass always have an eye out for stripers always love your enthusiasm Dude!😅
Thanks man good luck out there!
Caught on my first cast yesterday a striper after casting cut pogie and was looking for a place to keep my rod up
That’s an awesome fish man!! What kind of rod and reel setup were you using? I know you need a pretty heavy setup for the canal
Nice catch I also catch a lot of stripebass and blue fish black fish. I love fish but eat no fish
Might be short? That's bigger than what I've landed all year.
Looks slippery on the side. Wearing corkers?
Always got the korkers on! They are a life saver
Did they need a license fishing?
You gotta try down by the drop train bridge there hitting there all the time between 3-8 am
am?? damn!!
Very nice fish question for you on which side of canal you are??
South side east end it looks like.
Was this near scusset beachside of Canal?
Great video. I was using a whole live mackerel this one day when I was after a 40 plus inch striper but I hooked a great white shark instead while fishing fom my kayak. Part of my video was used on the Discovery Channel episode called The Great White North. Toss me a subscription if you like, I only need a couple more to get 1000 :) Cheers
Congrats, but land them at the water and don't drag them across the rocks if at all possible...
I finished there for years. After my divorce. Protect the fish.
Spent 4 years incarcerated on the south side of the canal in buzzards bay - I'll let you guess the name of the place.
Mass maritime academy? 😂😂
@@EastCoastFilmz yep, I got out on good behavior
Some never make it out gotta buddy that’s been there for 23yrs
Dude. You’re dreaming. It’s time to wake up.
Share the address I’m from Ma
That big Bass was out of the water to long...not worth the "measurement and a few pics"
We all catch big Stripers on CC, the best fisherman are the ones who don't post; the damn video was enough
...also, if you can't land your own fish in any situation it seems irresponsible to fish...just imo, nothing personal
learn how to handle a fish or dont fish
Huge would be 40-50 lbs. that’s not huge unless that’s the first big bass you’ve ever caught … not that I’m dissing you… but nice catch all the same…!
👍😎🤙
Check the catch records for Stripers on the eastern seaboard… back in the day … monsters were 90+ lbs.
Sweet Sage sweatshirt!!! 😮
