47 here and discovered Obituary on Headbangers Ball with The End Complete title track video in early '93. Went to the record store and instantly bought it on cassette and was jamming in my Datsun pickup. lol
I was here. First concert I ever saw. I had gotten out of the mental hospital the day of, and I was determined to see them. Very quickly I saw what I truly wanted to do with my life. Life changing.
I was obsessed with this album and the name when I was in Form 6...I'm 45 and have the poster in my bedroom. Great to see these guys still keeping the metal alive.
I just seen these guys Oct 28th in Huntsville Alabama and Holy fuck they sounded unbelievable and were amazing ! I will most definitely be seeing these guys again. Great show guys !!! Wow
Saw them at knitting factory Boise Idaho a couple months ago . Fan for 30 + yrs first time to see them. Unfortunately they were not the headline so it was a short set. still fucking awesome and a fun kick ass pit. First chance i get I will see them as headliners.
Fuck yes !!!! Obituary man !!! Something about their sound cant be duplicated !!! I saw 2021 ??? I had to check in on my all time death metal faves !!! So unique . Combination of sludge , eerie solos , plodding stalker drums (even when double bass kicking ) and the one of a kind sick ass vomitous punk meets death vox only he Tardy can deliver !!!! Yes . There has been more technical . Yes more deep gutteral growls . But ....THEY have a distinct sound only to them ! And thats hard in the death metal world . Especially being one of the pillars of . I mean . if i played 20 death metal bands to a youngster getting in to metal ? They could pick them out instantly ! But there is no Obituary clones out there i ever heard ! They copy Corpse , Try to copy Deicide , Autopsy , Death , Morbid Angel . You cant beat the OGs . well ...Infant Annihilater come from another planet ! They still dont have the sick groove of Obituary !!! lol !

@@atranfanatic my first vehicle was a 86 Nissan 280zx and I wore out Obituary and other similar artists. Great times back then for sure 🤘🔥

Still sounds so good after all these years. Saw them play with Napalm Death twice in 1994. Machine Head opened both shows.
