    What is nice about that is the money you save in labor cost you could pay for the grade system.

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  6 років тому +2

      Thats exactly right and it doesnt take long to make up the cost in labor savings!

    How did you set your tilt up on the left stick .???? I have a 305e2 and I’m wanting to maintain my thumb while using the tilt any advise would be great

    Now that you've gotten used to having the tiltrotator on the excavator, how does it feel to go back into the smaller excavator without the engcon? I'm the operator on a 326F cat excavator with then Engcon and mig2 joysticks, it feels odd to drive a machine without it now to be honoest :)

      haha, i think, man this would be a lot easier with a tiltrotator!

    Does the monitor just give you a visual or does it actually stop the bucket at grade when digging??

    Have you ever thought about putting a tiltrotator on your 305.5?? I have one with the cat tilt bucket it's okay. It's likes 5 foot wide bucket though little ex excessive. Would love to try one out on a mini. Keep up the good work man love what u do👍

    I'm looking at a 303.5e and was wondering if it would fit on that size machine. Its going to be open cab so are they dust/water resistant?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  6 років тому +1

      yes it will fit on that size machine for sure. And yes all parts of the system are designed to be used on jobsites in all conditions.

      i have a cat 304 i just had earthworks installed on and every thing was fine but the bucket sensor needs attention when mounting but 303.5 should be same

    Where did the Boulder end up on the driveway at 7:09

    So is it a gauge or does it actually limit the machine from cutting too much?

    • @benargee
      @benargee Рік тому

      Pretty sure it's just a readout like a DRO on a lathe or milling machine. I think more integrated systems with electric joysticks could have limits or even automatic grading similar to how industrial robots operate. It's still a big step up from laser and a stick man.

    That is sweet, does it matter how big or small your machine is? Will it work for pretty much all excavators?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  6 років тому +1

      it will work on any size and nay brand machine. Donest matter. Pretty cool!

    All that technology for people with no operator instinct...for a person who started cutting to grade on excavators when I was a 5 year old child... I can do it by eye. Or modifying a simple laser level and mount it on the dipper arm (stick, for the yanks)
