I bought a e43r. I had never ran anything that wasn't bailing hay when I was a kid. Alot of my projects you have videos of doing what I need to learn. Knowledge is power if you have the ability to share it in a way that people like myself can understand. For that sir I say thank you
You are right there is quite a bit of learning techniques and leverages and so forth. And best of luck with your new machine! They are incredible machines for sure!
Thank you for sharing this excellent video of your mini excavator doing it's thing down in the dirt! That looks to be a very ergonomic and comfortable working environment for long day's in 'the office'.
Looks like great trail into a perfect deer killing spot. They love to travel in those drainages. Put up an automatic corn feeder in there and what an awesome spot.
Love the Bob Cat Excavator video action, Kap. Man at 8:24 and 10:48 you got some good scoops of grouped trees moved out after they were pulled by their roots. Nice work. Dang it! I want AC tractor cab...NOW! It was 97 degrees today and will be in the 90's for another week. I know it gets hot but it's not even summer yet. This part of country is dang close to declaring a DROUGHT. We haven't had rain in a very long time. The green grass is turning brown. You definitely got a good handle on working that Mini-Ex. Full watch.
@@kapperoutdoors Yeah, I know what you mean. The Massey I'm looking at has just a tad bigger footprint than my open-floor 1533. Looking at the 1760M. It's not much wider and just a tad longer. About to do some "Tractor Shed" modifications to be able to get the slightly taller cabbed tractor into the shed. I'll video the process. I haven't made any videos in quite some time.
Long story but I don't agree with the 'current theory' about EHD. You see a couple of years ago I believe it was New York state, they had a MASSIVE outbreak of EHD.. The only problem was that they also had record rains throughout the year, which means the 'muddy midge' theory did not comport.. Matter of fact with record rains, there was very little mud, or low water levels, yet they had a massive EHD outbreak. I listened to the podcast and the DNR rep was pretty much dumbfounded.. I live life by reality and common sense. So if there was a massive ehd outbreak with conditions completely opposite of what their current 'theory' is, how do explain that? Just my opinion and life experience.. Something to think about, thanks.
hey, love this POV footage. Pretty cool. So what size of trees can you take down with these? I just recently got a crazy expensive quote for some excavation on a rocky mountain property. I'm wondering how well these will handle solid rock? do you know if you can you get rock smashing tool heads for them?
Well I'm sure you could rent/buy a jack hammer for a mini with hi flow. Don't know if you would need one or not? Trees that grow in rock are sometimes easier to pull out as the roots are not always that robust. But I know what you mean, big excavation is big money!! Hard to find the right solution that is most affordable. Good luck!
How well does a mini excavator work on a slight incline? I have an acre of cleared flat land but wanting to clear about 2 more and the land slopes up a bit. How easy/hard is to flip one of these things?
If your tracks are facing up and down the hill they don't turn over that easily but you should still be careful. You should be okay upto 30°, even if your tracks are going across the slope. I have worked on a 45° slope, but every machine is different. It's best to test your tip angle in a safe situation. That is with the boom on the downhill side so it cannot flip over.
Thomas, I think Kap bought it some time back. You're right, those Mini-Ex are real nice. I looked at renting one in April for 30 days and it cost $2400-ish (delivered). I specifically wanted an enclosed cab w/ AC and a thumb. As the season progressed and got hotter, demand for them got greater and availability was less. Have a good one.
Man it all depends on the size of the trees you are pulling. Bigger trees take way more time. But I'd say if they were smaller trees you can clear an acre probably in a day or so. Maybe half day, never really timed it out. Thanks

Nicely done 👍
Thank you, its always fun 'working' in the excavator!
Finding more of your property is always fun.
Yep, for sure! Thanks

Thank you glad you liked it! For being super small, especially for me, it is pretty comfortable!
Would be nice to see more footage like Andrew does, he points out how he does it and has more outside veiws of what hes doing
Beautiful property!
Thank you! Lots more cool projects like this on our main channel and our new Kapper Outdoors 2.0 BTW Semper Fi!!
@@kapperoutdoors Semper Fi to you as well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Cant wait to see what you do with the Bobcat to clean and neaten up the Kentucky property. Gonna be fun!!
yes sir for sure!!! You going to work it awhile!!??
Always fun making new trails
yes sir, well, at least most of the time :)
Smooth 👍
Nice spot down there in the woods!
yeah, really pretty! Found another cool spot on the next excavator vid too! :) thanks
A secret logging road WOW
It's hidden so trespassers can't find it... WOW...
Looks like great trail into a perfect deer killing spot. They love to travel in those drainages. Put up an automatic corn feeder in there and what an awesome spot.
Thanks, I enjoy machine work in the woods! Can't use feeders here in IL, banned!!! lol
Just posted a video to my UA-cam channel of my 1 ton excavator paired up with a TMK150 tree sheer. Crazy how well it worked for clearing trees!
Excavators are the greatest machines! Good deal
I want a machine like this now. Maybe Las Vegas will make my dream come true lol
lol best of luck! Be sure to hit a few 'high odds' bets!!!

Thanks buddy! Go trade in that tractor for a cab!!! And then trade in the Polaris for a Cab!!! Life's a beach, when you're in a cab!!! LOL

Get a 12-volt magnetic base fan online and stick it to the roll bar or metal canopy.
Nice vid Kap! Hell i was relaxing right with you. Thanks.
Roger that, thanks man!
I gotta thorn trees tryin grow everywhere lol
Good luck!
And bees lol can’t get to ya🎩😎
Yep no doubt about that! I got into a ground bee nest with my first open tractor and that was not fun!! Love the cab's now :)
That was a damn good days work there 💪💪💪
hoorah, sure felt good to get something done!
NICE MUSIC
If your luck is like mine, that pipe you dug up would never lead to the vault but instead would just be an old sewer pipe.👍🏻👍🏻LOL
LMAO, yep, I am there with you man!!!!
Water hole looks like an ehd nightmare

We need to get you to bring that excavator over here to missouri
I'm sure we could put it to use good!!!!

We need some Kentucky Sasquatch foot prints or nighttime audio....can you handle that Kapper?
I'll work on that! Man that is some BIG wooded country over there by the almost new farm!

Hey kapper awesome little excavator is that yours or is it a rental

yeah this one is ours I think we've had it like 2 years now or more.. Incredible machine for any landowner!

Does it have air conditioner in there?
YES sure does! :)
I think you need a Cat D8 to just punch that road out the easy way.
Yep, that would make easy work of it for sure! But I've got like 3 or 4 machines that still need to be paid off! lol
I know that a lot of people like cat dozers but I prefer the joystick controls of the John Deere dozers, and I am not a fan of John deere.
Hallo bos,new friend
You need lessons from Chris @ Letsdig18 and Andrew C. Snap them saplings with the thumb ?
And I bet you I could teach them a few things that I have as specialties in... ?
Joe, I wonder how much acres do you have right now in Illinois?
Where do you dig?
Southern IL
You have a lot of unharvested 'walking sticks' at the end of that trail...another money maker?....lol.
eh, I think that's too much work!
If you can't dig the stump out with the excavator you can alway let some dynamite do the job.
lol for sure! Or a BMG .50 cal full auto!!! :)
you talk too much thanks
You're welcome
That is 42 looks like a nice machine. Wonder if it’s much different than my E 32
Definitely some difference, longer reach, more power. But they are all great machines for sure.
That's pretty nice true
Yeah very pretty down in dem woods!!!
