    Great vid buddy! You said you were using a #12 blade, at what saw speed? Maximum speed, 75%%? I'm struggling... It seems I am forcing my saw at 90% and a #9 skip tooth blade... Like of I'm forcing the wood ..

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Рік тому +1

      Forcing the material is never good, it can cause the blade to warp within the thicker material. Take your time and let the blade do the work.

    Looks like fun. Guess my next tool will be a scroll saw ;) I like how you have the back of the saw up on a 4x4. Makes so much sense and I'll bet it's easier on your back. Question: What is the tennis ball for on the saw to your left?

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Рік тому

      Thanks, scroll saws are awesome and versatile. The tennis ball is a way of replacing the bellows for the dust blower. The older model saws, the bellows sometimes dry rots.

    Totally awesome design. I had no idea that you can scroll in 3D. I've just bought the Dremel MS20 Moto Saw, which uses pinned blades, which now restricts me to some designs with smaller fret cuts. (If that's the correct phrase). I only thought you could do 2D. Love your video and will be following you. Downloaded the 'Love Wood' from your contact, Going to try it but I'm thinking it ain't going to happen on the first go. . . . good to practice though eh! Thanks bud, love it. x

    • @ArtisanPirate

      Unfortunately Delta no longer carries parts for the 16 Inch Scroll Saw, I did order spare parts when the company did stock them. However, you can almost always find this exact Scroll Saw in pawn shops for between $55 and $65. I hope this helps.
