😂 the 12V battery comment had me laughing… you are not a hack, you are an inspiration and great educational entertainment.

Thanks again! Every so often I'll try to inject a little humor. First time I have ever drilled a gas port! Didn't know what to expect but it was no big deal!

Thanks once again for valuable information. I was going to use an offset pin on one of mine and learned about the enhanced tube I just happened to have used. Saved me some headache issues in advance on that.

I was thinking about trying one and then it just jumped out at me that the off-set that I have wouldn't work!

Awesome! Seems like you definitely had some room to open the port with the adjustable gas block WIDE OPEN, if anything, you still have some headroom based on setting 12 vs white box performance! Really enjoying the series!

Thanks! I think I'm there now but won't know for sure until I get them back out into the colder temps! If they run in the high teens low 20's around here then mission accomplished!

Rock on man. I must of been lucky as I have an 18" and a 20" LR-308 and no funny business with either and they are both mix and match components so to speak. I love the .308 and LR-308 rifles. Good job there cousin, rock out homey.

Thanks! If it's going to happen it's going to happen to me! Lol! I think I have finally cracked the code on these builds and they should be 100% from now on! When they work they are fun!

Those are good looking barrels. Very expensive I’m sure being from wilson

They're good barrels but check the gas port area for debris! Wilson Combat likes to leave left overs in there!

The only reason u having problems is the manufactor of the barrel inproper gas port to big or to small, adj gas block are bandaids for your problems, anytime u have 308cal in ar style plz use rifle lenght tubes and heavy buffers and spring, buy barrels from manufactor that have proper gap ports and most problems go away. ❤

A lot of trial and error on these builds! They are both running perfect now with greatly reduced recoil! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Just curious, no criticism; did you use any cutting oil?

White grease. Grease pulled the chips out of the way as I was going through. I don't think at the speed I was going and the short distance I really needed anything? The drill bit I was using is made from depleted uranium! Joking of course! They are designed for hardened steel though! Got them from McMaster-Carr.
