I have a theory! So Lily and James Potter had a orange cat when they were alive. So my theory is that Crookshanks was actually that Orange Cat and that is how Crookshanks knew that "Scabbers" was actually Peter Petigrew because she would have seen him and smelled him whenever she was with Lily and James

The Dursley’s one is wrong. At the start of the first book BEFORE Harry is left at the door, the Dursley’s are already described as horrible and nasty to other people.
That’s true, but I could believe the horcrux could bring out those feelings even more so than normal. The horcrux doesn’t seem to create negative feelings, looks more like it exploits what may already be present. It brought out feelings Ron already had so it could be the same for the Dursleys. Perhaps without that aspect they could’ve grown to care for Harry and take care of him properly. Work through those emotions with Harry’s parents and just hold on to the part of Lily she did love.
There is a part in the books where we find out Petunia did have more loving feelings towards her sister at a time. Actually it seems most of her hate comes from not liking James and of course the jealousy of not having magic. I wonder if Harry was born a girl instead and he was even more like Lily, I wonder if Petunia would’ve loved him more or if he was born without magic. And we find out that she kept the blanket Harry was wrapped in when he was left at the Dursley’s door step.
The only thing that makes me think the story doesn’t work is the horcrux would effect the Hogwarts students too, but I’m not sure it does. It did effect the those with magic when the trio were searching for the other horcruxes and especially the locket. I don’t think the students reacted that much to Harry. I mean Harry fell in and out of favor with the other students at different times, but it could’ve also been fame too. I don’t think it can be clearly tied to Harry being a horcrux.
I'm late to the party, but I'm a nerd, so here's what I think just for fun. It is certainly true the Dursleys were described as the worst sort of muggles before having any contact with Harry. The hurt Petunia felt as a child when Lily was accepted into Hogwarts and was doted on by their parents started the nastiness and perhaps the proximity to the horcrux intensified those feelings of inferiority, jealousy, betrayal, grief, and of course fear in the Dursleys after Lily's murder, even unto abuse. We know from the books that they were affected by the dementors.
The horcrux might also explain why Harry was so badly bullied in both the muggle school and on and off at Hogwarts. I don't think saying he "fell out of favor with the other students" quite covers what he endured from even from Ron at one point. That's a big part of Harry's character arch. It also might explain why Cho Chang was uncontrollably weepy around Harry when she was grieving for Cedric.
We know from the books that the same horcrux effects people differently. When Hermione, Harry, and Ron take turns wearing the locket, each one had a different reaction, some worse than others, but like dementors, a horcrux takes a person's bad feelings and magnifies them. How the individual responds is down to them, I suppose.

New theory, the Dursleys are the Unforgivible Curses. Dudley is Crucio, for the way he tortures Harry. Vernon is Imperious, because of the way he tries to control the family. Petunia is Avada Kedavra, because she wanted her sister dead.

Also they do not have the same hair colour and Dumbledore has a brother, a time travelling Ron wouldn't just get a new backstory.
Patronuses can change, but there's the fact that Dumbledore had a very documented childhood, complete with a brother who is still around.

The claim that Ginny used a love potion can be disproven so easily. Such as the fact he still loved her while hunting horcruxes and when they were apart. There’s also the fact that the love potion causes powerful infatuation and obsession which is not the nature of their relationship at all. I could go on and on but I’m probably gonna make a video on it
Plus! Dumbledore said Voldemort can’t love because he was conceived threw a love potion and Ginny and Harry’s kids can love so therefore it can’t be true! 😌

Excuse me while I whip out Occam's Razor (look it up) and advance the simplest theory: the Thursday night before the final Quidditch match of the year, Harry attacked Draco with such a violent spell that he was suspended from Quidditch play. This left Gryffindor with Ginny as an inexperienced Seeker. She thus asked Hermione for a potion--NOT Amortentia but Felix Felicis! It gave Ginny 24 hours of good luck which resulted in (a) Ginny leading Gryffindor to victory over Cho and Ravenclaw, and (b) causing Harry's Chest Monster to have him go for Ginny--all on the same day. This makes more sense to me than any other scenario.
Or Ginny is just a good Quidditch player, I mean just because she is a Chaser does not mean that she can’t play Seeker, she did play as seeker in OOTP when Harry was banned and was really good but in HBP she preffered to play Chaser and Harry was back for a bit as seeker, so there was no Felix Felicis because Hermione prob can’t make one, she was mad at Harry for thinking he used one for Ron so she would never give Ginny Felicis to cheat and she would never steal Harry’s Felicis to give to Ginny to cheat, so your theory sucks.
Didn't Slughorn have a pot of the felix, and give Harry just a little flask of it? He (Slughorn) could have given her some as reward for something, and he was really impressed with her already.
Weird how Harry's feelings for Ginny grew stronger when they were apart for 10 months when he was hunting Horcruxes and she didn't have a way to give him the potion. Also they were introduced to Amortentia in year 6 Ginny was in year 5 when they started going out, and when did this supposed conversation between Ginny and Slughorn take place? It wasn't in the books.

@@carlennabrattin7731 did you even read the books this sounds like a movie watcher only if you only watched the movies your right Kloves wrote 7 of the 8 movies only missing order and did his best to try and make a love triangle out of the golden trio then rushed to get the kiss between harry and ginny the one in the castle was better for sure but thiers a video that another channel did that did their best to show how these two came together in the movies and it was well done but in the books if you pay attention to all the details around harry and ginny from chamber to the end it was clear that ginny and harry where made for eachother ginny needed hermione as a friend to help her get thru her shyness around harry and show more of herself cutting any mention of her relationship with corner was a mistep that was important for ginnys growth then she used Dean to make harry jealous and hopefully finally get her one true love while harry who was fighting the forces of evil trying to do it alot on his own needed ginny getting more comfortable around him to finally take notice leaving out the talk in the library between these two which was a big step in their relationship as at the time harry wanted to talk to sirius and didn't want to tell hermione or ron but he told ginny and she understood and help find a way to make it happen hermione would of never done that she would of fought harry to try and talk him out of it as she tried when he wanted to go to the ministry when he thought he knew sirius was held their harry and ginny have a lot in common that makes them perfect for eachother while harry and hermione dont it wouldnt of worked at all if you read the books and pay attention harry and ginny are perfect together as are ron and hermione

It's very simple. Harry treated Ginny as sister in most of the books. Just like he treated Hermione in the first two years until he saw her in that dress with Victor Krum. Except with Hermione seein her as a beautiful girl didn't make Harry change his mind. But it hit Ron very hard. And from this point onwards we see Ron's attitude towards Hermione starting to change.
As for Harry and Ginny, it was all about that kiss Harry witnessed. He never pictured Ginny kissing anyone. He never even considered kissing Ginny himself. Kissing was still a new concept to him back then as he only kissed Cho, and only did it once. And it wasn't very happy experience back then. But when he saw Ginny kissing Dean Thomas and the two didn't seem sad at all. It's only natural that part of Harry like that kind of kiss and felt jealous, which then changed into love for Ginny.
Sudden changes like that can happen. It happened once or twice in my life. You meet a girl and she's nothing special. Some time passes and then something changes - suddenly you see her as beautiful out of the blue and you can't believe your own memories from not so long ago.
Harry's whole perspective of Ginny changed when he witnessed her kissing Dean in that corridor. Mostly because at that time to Harry a kiss still was connected to that memory of a sad kiss with Cho Chang. And this was completely different kind of kiss.
Most people go from that short, innocent kiss Harry had with Cho to a true, passionate kiss very fast. But Harry never had this opportunity because his relationship with Cho have fallen apart before that happened.
So deep inside his heart Harry probably realized that if Ginny can kiss a boy like that then he would very much like to be kissed by her. And that means Dean Thomas is in the way.
Ron grows up to be an adult. "Ronbledore " Couldn't exist because of this. Also how many people have blue eyes? It's a dominant gene people. Also I'm not convinced by a scar on a knee.

i dont think ginny spiked harry with love potion in my opinion it seemed like harry started liking ginny after she stopped being the shy little girl she was in the first 4 books but in my opinion as well the movies did horribly with her character in half blood prince shes fierce and shed not a single bit if shyness but in the movie she was so akward around harry and the only way she was like the real ginny in the book is the time she yelled "SHUT IT" in the tryouts so now her relation ship with harry makes no sense in the movie
When Harry first had a sign of love for Ginny was when he and Ron saw Dean and Ginny kissing in the corridor, Harry then imagines it’s him instead of Dean, but quickly covers it up by saying it was just ‘elder brotherly’ protection for Ginny, and Ron would hate him. Seems natural. According to the theory in longer version, Ginny gave Harry the love potion in the cookie during summer holidays, if that was true, it would mean Harry would have feeling for her WAY earlier. Like how Ron ate the chocolate and immediately liked Romilda Vane. I agree with you

anyone think that ginny used a love potion on the only man she ever loved is laughable i mean come the F on she had a crush on Harry from the age of 10 and yes she tried to get him to notice her early on the valentine was a bad idea in hindsight but she didn't know then he rescued her in the chamber and according to rowling after the fact when everyone else shunned her on the way home harry came to check up on her and played exploding snaps the whole ride home that was when ginny knew harry was the boy/man she will love and marry one day yes the next year she tried to avoid him embarrassed at what happen but thanks to hermione great advice she was able to open up break out of her shell and become the women harry always needed and could put up with hiim and not back down they are a perfect match and anyone trying to think of a dumb reason why they are together have major problems its not that hard the two pairs that ended up together where written perfectly and played out well in the books the movies failed both couples at their portrayals because Kloves wanted so badly to have harry and hermione be a thing and leave ginny and ron on the outside looking in

The last one is interesting in some FanFiction she turns out to be Harry’s secret twin sister and her appearance was slightly changed which is why she has brown hair not black like Harry and she got her eye color from James. In others Harry adopts her into the Potter family either by a blood adoption potion or a ritual at gringots

The screenwriter Steve Kloves wrote it in for fans to consider deeply a Harry/Hermione romance, because he preferred Harry/Hermione himself. This moment is not in the books, thankfully.

Even if there was a love potion in play, unless Ginny was spiking Harry constantly, then she could've only used it just once on Harry to set the spark.
In that matter, then the attraction was already there, just needed a little push to help it become apparent to Harry what those feeling actually were.
The reason why the dursley family is so bad is cuz they dont want to believe in the wizard world. They treat harry bad as if they are trying to make him forget, and when his parents died they never told him. And they hated his mother mostly when she went to hogwarts and they believe she did because wizarding is bad. So the horcrux made them bad theory isn't exactly provable.
It is not possible for the Dursleys to be affected by Harry being a horcrux. That's because a horcrux only affects a person the most when he or she is a pure blood. It affects the person a little less when he or she is a half blood and the horcrux affects a person the least when he or she is a muggle born. For example when Ron wore the Slytherin locket it affected him the most and he fought with Harry, told him that he didn't had parents and even tried to hurt him physically. When Harry wore the locket he was mad at Hermionie because he thought that she wasn't trying hard enough to recover Ron, which shows that the locket affected Harry definitely lesser than Ron as he was a half blood. And when Hermione wore the locket, it affected her the least. And now the Dursleys were muggles. They didn't have a single drop of magical blood in them. How can Harry being a horcrux affect them?? Petunia hated Lily just because Lily was a witch and she was a muggle. And her parents were proud that a witch was born in their family. She was jealous. And as we read in the first book that she even hated if someone talked about the Potters.

the locket effected ron the most becasue ron from the jump was insecure being the least loved one in his family since ginny the first and only girl got more love then him then he met harry and his entire family seemed to like harry more then ron then ron after 7 years and pretty much being a married couple was with the women he loved while they helped their best friend find the horcrux's but the locket fed his head with lies that hermione prefer harry over ron harry only had two things he worried about beating voldemort and ginny so the horcrux didn't have much to feed off of while it didn't effect hermione because her parents where safe and she had ron with her until he left and then it effected her a bit more it had nothing to do with blood of the witch or wizard more then it did their feelings and what was their greatest fears

Dumbledore wasn't always that and isn't permanantly death, he was once death because he had James/Harry's invibility cloak, the Ressurection stone in his ring and the elder wand but that was only for sometime

I'm still unconvinced that Hermione is Harry's sister. I mean, nothing in the books ever mentioned that Hermione's real last name was Puckle. It's just something someone made up, it is just so obvious! Even if her real surname was Puckle, it could just be a coincidence that their initials would be the same. Whoever thought of this theory must've not thought most of it out that much. Though there still might be a possibility, it is just unlikely. Another reason is do they even look alike? Harry has black hair, Hermione has brown. Doesn't really make sense.
Just my own theory. At the end of the day, everything people think is true is usually just a theory. It is just mine seems pretty correct to me. And, Hermione is muggle born, Harry is half-blood. How could they have the same parents?

Okay, the Mary Poppins theory is adorable
I fully believe she slipped him a love potion. She went from being barely a thought to him/maybe a little sister figure. Then suddenly he is in love with her. The way it is so abrupt and had no general lead up makes no sense, plus with the way Rowling liked to make parallels between Tom Riddle and Harry it would make sense that a love potion is used on Harry. And didn’t Rowling herself say that Ron/Hermione didn’t make sense and was wishful thinking from her own childhood crush and she realized it made more sense for it to be Harry and Hermione was he showed her far more respect and support.

I kind of like the theory that Harry suffered a psychotic break just before he "got" his letter, so that everything that happened from the time his letter arrived onward was just a delusion.
He never really escaped the cupboard under the stairs. He spent the rest of his life in a vegetative state believing he was magical and living out his real life.
It's kind of sad, but the life of a child abuse survivor is rarely a happy one. In a way Harry had a happy life after all.

I do think Ginny didn’t use a love potion one because it dos not last that long so she would have to keep giving Harry more and more love portion and from the beginning we all know Harry liked her a little but it wasn’t that strong but after a few years he liked her more and more, I think he started liking liking her when he saved her from the chamber of secrets but he didn’t really know what he was feeling two most people don’t just stay with the person that they dated in high school so it was very unlikely that he would stay with Cho Chang. I think he just realized that he had real feelings for Ginny and he liked Cho but he didn’t like her in a romantic way, well originally he did but later on he didn’t. Do I even have to say but I will, Ron a Dumbledore or NOT the same person 1 Dumbledore only had a brother and a sister and Ron has a BIG family 2 a LOT of people like candy it delicious! 3 Dumbledores sister died when he was around early 20s maybe late 20s but later you see Ginny ( which would have to be the died sister) with Harry and they all look like they are in there 20s or so, there are a lot of things that could mean that they are not they same person those are just the ones I’m going to say. And Harry and Hermione could maybe be brother and sister but only maybe I have my doubts but it is possible they could be brother and sister. 😊🪄

There is no way that Harry and Hermione are brother and sister because they literally kissed in the Deathly Hallows. Either they're not siblings or they were just born in Alabama.
Actually Ron's fear of Harry and Hermione kissing is shown via horcrux. The characters as themselves never kiss and are always shown in a sibling type manner.

Ehhh... Oftentimes girls develop feelings for boys, and boys have no clue until one day they just suddenly do notice her in "that way". For instance, my best friend had a crush on her classmate for about 2 years when all of a sudden he just noticed her one day in "that way". As soon as he realized his attraction, they started to date. They have been married for 10 years, I think, and have three wonderful children!

They went through the magic waterfall that removed all enchantments, causing their polyjuice potion to be ineffective as well as the supposed "amortentia". Harry married Ginny and 19 years later they had three children together when harry was not under the influence of amortentia. so stop!

Also, Hermione was born September 19th, 1979. Harry was born July 31st, 1980. That'd be cutting it REALLY close.
I dont beleive that the dursleys are bad because of harry, because if they were, they would be bad to their own son and to each other as well, bacause ron was affected and ran away, without mentioning any single person against whom he was angry with. he was generally angry with both of them.
