It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly twenty years since the first “Harry Potter” movie was released. We’ve been enjoying these movies over and over ever since. The “Harry Potter” franchise ended up with eight movies over eleven years. It was hard to cram every important or entertaining scene from the books into the movies, and we think they did a pretty good job picking the right scenes.
Some scenes were never filmed, like anything with Peeves the Poltergeist or Teddy Lupin. Others were shot and eventually cut from the final version. But many of these scenes were cut from the final versions when they would have made quite the impact. From the truce with Dudley to the moment Hermione gets friends, we’ve got ten scenes from the “Harry Potter” movies that would have made them even better. The Dudley and Draco scenes were SO important and were so short there was absoultley NO reason for them to be cut!
IKR!
The Draco scene was cut cause JKR told them to 😤

The scene where Harry shakes hands with Dudley, That scene would have made a lot of emotion and greatness.

What did dudley say?
Gon Freaks “I don’t think you’re a waste of space”
J S tbh thats a compliment coming from him 😂.
also it happened in the book so they removed dudley being nice for the first time
Definetly I 💯 percent agree
I think the scene between Petunia and Harry inside the house, when she says Harry didn’t just lose a mother, but she also lost a sister would have meant more than Harry’s interchange with Dudley, imo. It goes back to the first movie when Petunia calls her sister a “freak.” It shows the love she did have for her sister.
ikr.. I strongly agree with you. I mean who is not jealous of their sibling but at the end of the day they are our people, our moral support and partner in crime. I believe it was important to show people especially the young audience that siblings are not the real enemies, winning aggressive conversations with your pack(siblings) doesn't make you stronger/superior it makes you weak:)
I agree
Yeah I like that deleted sense to 😄
Hard disagree That scene is terrible. Petunia acts like losing a sister is worse than losing a mother, as if that justifies her contempt. So how does she repay the sister she supposedly grieved over? 17 years of abuse for the sister's son.
This does nothing but make Petunia way shittier than before
that scene IS in the Movie!
WHY THE HELL DID THEY TAKE SUCH GOOD SCENES OUT!? Draco's, Dudley's and all of the others were wonderful!
yes i wonder why

I would love to see the part that Malfoy trows a wand to Harry Potter so that he could defeat Voldemort that would be such a memorable scene and I love Draco so that would help people to understand that he is a good boy who is being forced to be a death eater
Always wondered where Harry got the wand.
@Isabel Baber lmao I think they meant he’s not a bad person 😭
The start of the video:
"Scared, POTTAH?"
The end of it:
"Pottah!" (Said in a positive way)
Oh yes

I can’t believe it
Why would they delete ittttt
@@corinthpebida fr 🥺
Kaylee Mae that would’ve made a huge twist to the movieee :
@@corinthpebida i totally agree 😭
I really wanted Draco running to Harry’s side be cannon. It’s the ultimate redemption and a best close to his story afterwards. There are so many deleted scenes that makes the atmosphere of the whole movie, and SHOULDNT have been deleted.
It's not in the books though... but would still be cool nonetheless.
That would explain why Draco wasn't punished for bringing the Death Eaters into Hogwarts.
what do you mean? It IS in the movie...
wink wink*
I feel like that scene was specifically cut by JK Rowling herself as she has said she doesn't really like Draco and there was a reason nothing like that was done in the books... She wanted him to be a "grey" sort of character as in bad and good. That is why in the Deathly Hallows when Lucius asks Draco if the sting hex Harry is him he doesn't say yes but he doesn't say no either.
I for one don't like it. I love how Draco remains very conflicted; probably all the way to adulthood, when they meet taking their children to the Hogwarts train in epilogue. You get a feeling Draco is still either so proud or conflicted that he couldn't offer a handshake or admit he owes Harry quite a lot. I love this awkwardness of Draco's character as it now stands! No heroic redemptions, just would'ves and could'ves. :)
I also believe that Colin's Creevey death should have been shown in the movies. Despite being a side character, Colin was really important. He admired Harry and always tried to help Gryffindor, he came back to Hogwarts (In Deathly Hallows all muggleborns weren't allowed to attend the school) to fight along Harry's side so as to defeat Voldemort and got killed by a death eater. Like I just feel like he should have at least been mentioned!!!
Yeah the films did really stupid things with the side characters. They had Chris Rankin and Sean Biggerstaff reprise their roles as Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood only to give them no lines (Wood says "Come on!" as he flies towards the Quidditch pitch but you can barely hear it or recognize who he is) why bring them on only to leave them out? Then the awkwardness when they excluded Dobby all this time for no reason and had to have him come back because of the plot lol
@@iroquoispliskin3053 ikr
Not only should the Dudley and Draco scenes be restored if there is ever a “fan’s cut,” but so should the final scene between Harry and Aunt Petunia. I found that scene to be quite emotionally moving in the book.
The scene with draco and that one with duddly. Such a shame they didn’t made it to the final movie. These are very important scenes where they put off their masks and show that they really care and aren’t even that bad. Even if it’s just some seconds it would have made quite a difference.
I don’t think that it would’ve been a big problem if the movie was some minutes longer.
IKR. They added so much crap, like the shoe-lace nightmare scene between Harry and Ginny, that could easily have been cut. But they cut out what could have been great scenes. I guess they couldn't fit it in with all the cringe worthy Harry/Ginny love scenes!
@@cocokai9661 I know haw ye fell😭😭😭(sooooo much cringe 😱)
@Benett Sanchez-Serrano It's not just you. It was very poorly done!
Yeah i know
Agreed I was re watching Harry Potter and the philosophers stone and many scenes that were important to me were cut I was sad but understood that the movie can’t be 20 hours long so they gotta cut parts out but who cares if the movie is 3 hours and 6 minutes those 6 or so minutes could have made the biggest difference

Another scene cut was - Petunia actually cared for Harry. She didn't hate Hogwarts, she wanted to go to Hogwarts and even wrote a letter regarding this to Dumboldore

The scene with Petunia and Harry. The entire series is about Harry losing his parents, however, we don’t think about the fact that Petunia lost her sister and actually as a result she knew what they were capable of.
I dont get why they cutted the part Draco threw his wand to Harry, i mean that was just brilliant, i will never forgive the person who deleted it
in a way it's also symbolic how Draco also defetead Voldemort, by having Harry use his wand. he finally stood up to waht has been tormenting him and his familly for so long.
I mean.. Nothing like that was in the books
its in the deathly hallows p2 game

The "I'm not worried, I'm with you" quotes were great bookends in the 6th book. The 6th film was unforgivable. The two most cathartic moments (Dumbledore tearing the Dursleys a new one and Potter ripping into the new Minister of Magic) were cut or replaced with pointless action that did nothing for the plot. And all we learnt about Tom Riddle is that he was a sullen kid and a creepy teenager.
1:34 AWWW!
How could they cut that! HER FACE! So cute!
Draco joining Harry’s side beacause for the first time he joined Harry’s side
When I saw the ‘deleted scenes’ part, I iMmEdIaNtLy knew that the deleted scene where Draco threw his wand to Harry was gonna be in there.
But the thing is.
_Why the bloody hell would they delete that?_
*And yes, I did add the ‘bloody hell’ on purpose.*
*Ron and Draco stan.*
We stan
Ron always uses "Bloody Hell" when he talks
Then, Draco would've been out of character if he went to Harry's side. Since in the book, he hated Harry. But my Drarry side wanted that scene to never get deleted. Even if it's making Draco out of character.
The Dudley shaking hands just gave me goosebumps
"I'm not worried Harry, I'm with you." Is the most important deleted scene here, yes even more than Malfoy's.
This part of the book made all true potterheads shed tears, it was so touching. It reflected on how the relationship between Harry and Dumbledore was like.
why did that last scene have to get cut that just makes me sad-
That was one FANTASTIC edit! Well done. Thanks for this.
I love the music behind the intro and outro of this video! Adds a certain ring to these things😍

Draco is mean to people because he was forced to do a lot of things he didn’t want to do and it’s sad
iicherry finally someone understands it to lol
Draco is nice his dad is mean
Yeah but he’s still a bully like calling hermione a mud blood
gracie anne bullies are created, not just born evil. It’s an unhealthy outlet for emotional pain/trauma. Draco Malfoy was trained to act like a pure blood from birth and literally had the most powerful dark wizard of the century living in his house for a nice stretch of time, I definitely believe that he needed some emotional help.
Massina Valdez bullies are created from past events or trauma.
Exactly the scenes I missed - thank you!
When I watched the movies, all of these scenes were there...
We’re you watching them on Peakock because all the scenes on there.
DRACO JOINING HARRY'S SIDE!!

Actually, he wasn't a ghost. He was a memory.
I mean, we now know he was a piece of Voldemort's soul because it was a horcrux
They needed to keep that snape scene lmfao I’ve always loved it, they honestly should have kept all these scenes in all of them weren’t even that long

Good one
"Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies even closer."
XD
Uhh she dint call Ron an idiot but she did to harry
There were two scenes which were in some of the versions of the films that I watched but were not in other films of the same name. One was how the house elves of Hogwarts were below the great hall and prepared the food. The food then magically appeared on the tables at meal times. That was great. Also one scene in one of the films was when Mrs Dursley was preparing meals in the kitchen and the letters from Hogwarts appeared in all different places like when she broke open eggs to make a cake etc.
All of them. In Chamber of Secrets in the beginning we see how horrible Draco's dad treated him. When I saw that scene it changed my whole out look on Draco. So, seeing Draco switch sides meant so much more. Thus the last scene with Draco, his wife and son more powerful.
I feel like the scene of Draco actually doing the right thing would have been so amazing. He has been so tormented and jealous of Harry throughout the entire series and then when Harry still saves him I think he would have repaid his debt.
They should've kept Draco being a good guy in the movie!!!!!
Ikr
I argree he always Is being mean and I love that scene
i dont think so.. instead being a good guy.. i think they should make a plot twist 😂 i mean.. draco dont like harry BUT he is caring and still helps harry.. if they didnt deleted the scenes where draco gives harry his wand in the last episode.. the movie is really PERFECT for me 🥺 draco deserves better tho 😔😭❤️
If you say that scene should have been kept in, you don't understand the story.
He is good. Just broken
Every scene but the last should have made it to the movies. According to the books, Draco never did such things as change sides openly. He might not have been as bad as it was mentioned in the first books, as we see him being tormented by the task Voldemort gave him, but as long as the dark lord was still alive, he was too scared to openly change sides. In fact, the last book mentions that in the aftermath of the defeat of Voldemort, he sat on a bench at the great hall of Hogwards hugging his parents, but quite isolated from the rest of the crowd which celebrated and mourned at the same time.
Nice video. Thanks and take care.
I think the thing people forget is Draco was always doing what he was raised to believe was the right thing. It's not until he's faced with the idea of taking a life that he realizes "the right thing" might not be the right thing. But by that point, he's in way too deep. That is until Harry reveals he's not dead then Draco has nothing to worry about. Voldemort is dead. (Edit: Also I'm pretty sure all three Malfoys have a redemption arc kinda thing in the books so I mean.)
My favorite deleted scene is and always will be Viktor Krum and Hermione reuniting and dancing at Fleur and Bill's wedding. It's such a tender sweet scene even if it's only meant to be friendly.
I feel like Dudley really looked at harry as a sibling but followed the abuse of his parents because he was told to and honestly didn't know better until he experienced what harry did with the dementors.
Aw dang why did they cut Dudley and Draco’s scene those where actually so touching 😢 that would have made the movie so much better
Itz_Casey xx ikr?! Plus that would only take a few seconds!
The dudley scene is not cut its in the extended version and its amazing 😉

@@linaspocket That's why I remember it
I miss one more scene which wasn't in the books. It was when the Dursleys were leaving and Petunia and Harry were alone. She said to him- She wasn't only your mother, you know. She was my sister too. - and then they share this look and they're gone. Gods, I love that deleted scene. In the books, there was this moment where this could've happened. When they're leaving and Petunia looks at Harry and hesitates, like she wants to say something, but then leaves without saying a word
When draco ran to Harrys side, it proves that draco really did care abt harry. There was absolutely NO REASON to cut it out of the movies :c

I just finished watching the 8 movies after only having watched the first 5 since 10+ years. And i didn't know the 1st deleted scene from this video wasn't originally in the movie, because i watched the blu-ray collection version, it really did add a lot to their friendships. Same with the 2nd clip and some of the video.
All of the deleted scenes were so good you have impressed me again all of them deserve to be in the movies
I want to see Dudley shaking hands AND hugging him. it whould be so iconic and so canon
I have a "fan theory," that Rowling originally planned to make Harry's refusing to accept being put in Slytherin as his greatest mistake. She dropped this tragic theme somewhere along the line but the ghost of it can be detected in the narrative.
I believe her original idea was to have Harry realize he should have gone into Slytherin so that Snape could have more easily mentored him to prepare to fight Voldemort & that Harry & Draco actually should have been friends. Harry's friendship would have turned Draco's life around to the right direction. His failure to pursue this opportunity made Harry's life vastly more difficult.
I'd like to see an alternative story line where this happens.
Ooh, that would’ve been cool
honestly that makes so much sense not to mention that snape literally cared more about harry than dumbledore did
Wow, I like this a lot!
@@Wannabecowgirl7 I think that Rowling was hinting around @ this idea w/ her Cursed Child play. There is a deleted scene from The Return of the Gryffendores or The Deathly Hollows or whatever where where Malfoy actually throws a wand to Harry when he returns from the dead. Perhaps she was hoping someone would catch on & was disappointed when no one did?
Maybe I'll win the internet if she confirms my theory?
@@VictorLepanto She has confirmed a lot of fan theories, so you have the possibility.

The scene where Dudley shakes hands with Harry it was like his way of telling him he was grateful and that he was sorry for how he treated him all those years and that he loved him and valued him.
So yes that would have been an amazing scene to see in the final film.
From what I know. Harry and Dudley still keep in touch after what happened. I don’t think Harry talks with his Aunt and Uncle.
Dudley literally showed growth in the books and it’s a real shame we didn’t get to see it in the final films
The beginning of DH’s part 1 with Harry and Dudley would be my top pick for scenes they should have included. I feel like in that moment Harry finally had someone who was actually his family. That Dudley had come to realize that Harry was for lack of a better word his brother, and Harry saved his life.
Same doesn't really make sense but that could've been there makes more sense than that draco scene
what about In Noctem? it´s a sad yet very powerful sequence with a beautiful music in the background where everyone was witness of the darkness taking over them like a presage of the times that were coming. Also we could see Sev´s and Malfoy´s pain as they were getting ready for the task they were given with but didn´t really wanted to

Draco wasn't a bad guy! Its a misconception. The only reasons why he acted mean on the outside was because he was forced to do so much thins he didn't want to as a child: and also behind his mean-ness was his deepest desire to make the Golden Trio of Harry, Ron And Hermione a Foursome. It was because Harry rejected his friendship in the first year that he was deeply hurt from inside and acted mean on the outside. I love Draco
The scene where draco malfoy says “POTTAH!” And throws him a wand is the best but they had to delete it :( #drarry is still read tho
Lmao how many fanfics have you read?
1. Draco's father told him to befriend Harry, Draco didn't want to. Also the golden trio wasn't a thing when Draco asked Harry to be his friend.
2. He chose to bully the trio and other people. It's not like his father was watching him 24/7 at Hogwarts.
I love Draco too, but he literally stepped on Harry's face and left him there in pain!! Still love him tho lol
draco ofered his hand in firendship, yes. But when Harry turned it away, he choose to see him as a rival/foe. Harry choosing to befriend a Weasley only hurt his pride more. Add in a muggleborn, and Harry was purposefully insulting Draco in his mind. Harry also got be a Seeker one year early. Harry was also a quicker learner than Draco in subjects like Defence Against the Dark Arts. draco, from book 1-4, saw Harry as a rival, only beginning to see him as a foe after book 5. The reason? Harry and Dumbledore showing world the Voldemorte was back, caused Lucious Malfoy to be arrested. draco saw this, not as an insult to himself, but an insult to the family. This turn his hatred red. This one arrest also cause Lucious to be punished by Voldemorte, forcing Draco to join, and take a succeed or die mission as punishment on Lucious. Voldemorte wanted Draco to fail, so he could kill him to hurt Lucious. But Snape made sure Draco got to live. Book 6 was where Draco was given depth, told wonderfully in the movie, as you could actually see the pain in Draco's face, knowing if he fails, he dies. In book 7, it is hinted and vagly brushed of Draco's reformation, but the movie does it better. The book is in the end better, but Draco actually gets to be shown growth and atonement in the movie, that the book didn't do. This down to seeing, but still. It was welcome.
yeah just dont say foursome its a squad
lets just say... sus

1: you can't delete something from a book
2: they know about some of these things because of the books

I read that part today
I love all the videos
I want to see draco do the last thing
I would like to see the last scene in the movie
Yeah i agree, I really hope they re-release all the movies with those deleted scenes in them, the movies feel incomplete without them,I just hope they read these comments if possible 😂 cuz I really want those movies ❣️❣️
I agree
The part when Ron says “we’ll what are friends for” and Hermione smiles IS in the final cut. If you record it on UA-cam TV, you can see it in the first movie. That scene wasn’t cut.
It just isn’t in some versions of the movies 😊😀
Tom Felton had to hurt his hair to play one part. That is why I love him because he sacrificed his own hair and I think that shows bravery. ☺️💚🍏
The last movie would have been way more epic if they didn't cut off draco's scene
Draco:*runs out shouts “POTTAH!!” *tosses his want to harry. * runs to hogwarts side. I would also like to see Draco being nice to and too.
