The answer at 19:15 about preparing kids going from Christian School to Public School for high school is gold. I just spoke to my grandsons (9 yrs and 6 yrs old) yesterday about this and shared the same thing. It has been on my heart to express to them that the truth of God's Word is timeless and can be trusted to answer any questions or truth claims that they are faced with in the future as they grow. JCIL, you have a very distorted understanding of Reformed Theology. You should really study it from the Reformers themselves rather than taking someone's word on what it is, what Calvinism is. Ephesians 1:4 states, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world.." Before the creation of the world, God chose those who were to be His. After Jesus told the disciples that no one can come to Him except the Father draw him, the disciples were talking among themselves and said that this is a hard saying, who can understand it. Salvation is simple, but the intricate details of it can be complicated. That is why preachers study and labor in the Word to construct their sermons. It's not all "milk," there is "meat" in there that must be carefully prepared. So, there are many things in the Word that we have to dig deep to get to. We can't survive on the milk of the Word only, we need to grow to be able to consume the meat as well. Luther, Calvin, Owens, and many other men of God who brought the Reformation to us by the guidance of God were men who taught the meat of the word. I encourage you to read their side of the issue. It's quite obvious you are being misled on the truth of what the Reformers actually taught.

Some friends and I really wanted to go to this conference because of who's on the stage right here. The only way it could be any better is if Piper was there. Few people are as sharp as Sproul while simultaneously empassioned. I still love after all these years when I put in Holiness of God to watch his hair shake when he's emphasizing something! That's the one thing that's missing from most Reformed speakers - they're almost tepid in their demeanor. It's one negative that accompanies, in some people, the comfort in "being used" to the Doctrines of Grace. ...probably the other is being calloused from defending them to professed Christians. I'm a little concerned for the younger generations' leading faces of Christianity. After closer look, David Platt actually gives some hope. Blessings

Something that I hear that actually struck me though was that phrase “as God originally intended.” As if, He intended for it to be a certain way and somehow He “lost control” and it didn’t go as he planned. If He is sovereign over everything... Then wouldn’t that then mean that everything is going exactly according to how He intended for it to go? If God is all knowing. Then this is not a surprise to Him (the fall). God doesn’t just “work with our situations.” God doesn’t just get dealt a bad hand and just “figures it out.” God is the one that DEALS the deck...
I kinda think it’s along the line of Jesus died for ALL, knowing not all will come.. He has a permissive will, allowing man to have his way, and His Sovereign will, that will not change... His omniscience, all knowing characteristic, knows the outcome....

SPROUL IS CORRECT WHEN HE EXPLAINED FURTHER that GOD's LOVE is nounconditional because Biblicaly GOD's LOVE is conditional as the Almighty Lord God the Son, JESUS CHRIST, said in His words in John 14;21,23 that GOD THE FATHER will love us IF we love and obey and keep our LORD JESUS CHRIST'S COMMANDMENTS and the SON will love us and BOTH GOD THE FATHER and THE SON will come into us and make THEIR abode in us.

God loves All His creation, created to give Him glory and Honor ,and be United to Him through Jesus His Son. He hates evil, sin, darkness of intellect that rejects His love and adoption. If anyone decides to love satan and his rebellion against God, then , God who cannot be in the presence of sin,then , He has to disinherit the unbeliever from receiving His love and grace.

If you feel God is leading you to tell someone about Jesus, you don’t have to do that at work, you can invite them to have dinner with you after work or on the weekend, you can invite them to church, there are plenty of times outside the work day that you can reach out to people.

The answer at 19:15 about preparing kids going from Christian School to Public School for high school is gold. I just spoke to my grandsons (9 yrs and 6 yrs old) yesterday about this and shared the same thing. It has been on my heart to express to them that the truth of God's Word is timeless and can be trusted to answer any questions or truth claims that they are faced with in the future as they grow. So good!! And love that he mentions and reminds me that my walk and love for the Lord can speak volumes without a word.

YES!! I've always said that Jesus's prayer for unity in John 17 must be answered because the Father can only grant the Son's request! I've prayed with Spanish speaking believers and though we couldn't understand each other,there was a deep bond between us: that's the unity of true Christians.

JCIL, you have a very distorted understanding of Reformed Theology. You should really study it from the Reformers themselves rather than taking someone's word on what it is, what Calvinism is. Ephesians 1:4 states, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world.." Before the creation of the world, God chose those who were to be His. After Jesus told the disciples that no one can come to Him except the Father draw him, the disciples were talking among themselves and said that this is a hard saying, who can understand it. Salvation is simple, but the intricate details of it can be complicated. That is why preachers study and labor in the Word to construct their sermons. It's not all "milk," there is "meat" in there that must be carefully prepared. So, there are many things in the Word that we have to dig deep to get to. We can't survive on the milk of the Word only, we need to grow to be able to consume the meat as well. Luther, Calvin, Owens, and many other men of God who brought the Reformation to us by the guidance of God were men who taught the meat of the word. I encourage you to read their side of the issue. It's quite obvious you are being misled on the truth of what the Reformers actually taught.

I know bro.... it raises the urgency and need to get to a Ligonier conference soon and even then, he might be on closed-circuit anyway. Time is drawing near. Some friends and I really wanted to go to this conference because of who's on the stage right here. The only way it could be any better is if Piper was there. Few people are as sharp as Sproul while simultaneously empassioned. I still love after all these years when I put in Holiness of God to watch his hair shake when he's emphasizing something! That's the one thing that's missing from most Reformed speakers - they're almost tepid in their demeanor. It's one negative that accompanies, in some people, the comfort in "being used" to the Doctrines of Grace. ...probably the other is being calloused from defending them to professed Christians. I'm a little concerned for the younger generations' leading faces of Christianity. After closer look, David Platt actually gives some hope.

I love Q&A as well. Something that I hear that actually struck me though was that phrase “as God originally intended.” As if, He intended for it to be a certain way and somehow He “lost control” and it didn’t go as he planned. If He is sovereign over everything...

They say that man is totally depraved.
These things have implications on God's character. If He condemns babies before having done anything good or evil, then He is not behaving in line with the character that He reveals to us in scripture.
Calvinism makes God out to be a liar and one who exhibits unstable behaviour. That's not the God of the bible.
