Team SKOUSEN is back in the saddle in a new unit, and they are once again into elk action. Marcus has moved up to the edge of a meadow and set up to start calling to the herd that is feeding in the trees on the opposite side.
And Corey is determined to call in a big herd bull for John...even if the herd bull wants nothing to do with his calls...

Stay positive Marcus! You did your best, there was no bad intent there. Anyone who has bowhunted for more than a few years has had the experience of flinching or having an animal move on the shot. Looks like you recovered it, which is wonderful. I love how this channel shows the less than ideal shots and the follow up, this is REAL hunting, and the hunters here consistently model good ethics for other elk hunters to follow. I like watching video of guys on their hands and knees tracking scant blood on some piece of public wilderness, reminds me of my hunts. Keep up the great work!

I love how raw these 101 videos are. Public land can be super tough to harvest animals on but perseverance is always the answer. After trial and error is what hunting is all about. it took me almost 10 years to harvest my first elk here in washington state. Now I'm 3 for 4 out of the last 4 years. keep up the great work men. I always commend the shows that show highs and lows of hunting. It’s unrealistic to think you’ll see elk all over every day and you’ll always make the perfect shot.
Great to see the differing viewpoints and the ethics demonstrated by everyone. You take the good and the bad in stride and don't let it get you down. We do our best and that is all that anyone can ask. This is a way better reality show than anything I have ever seen on TV. Love it!

I love that you guys show elk hunting like it really is. Anyone who has bowhunted elk or any species for a period of time can share Marcus pain. All you can do is regroup and do everything you can to recover the animal.

I really love how each team has their own style of hunting. Reinforces that there's a thousand different ways to hunt elk! Really miss the breakdown at the end of the episodes from last year. I learned alot from those!

A lot of action in this episode again! It’s okay Marcus don’t be embarrassed we are human we make mistakes plus having a bull come in might have some nerves and flinch it’s the way it goes. Then it’s up to us to do our best to make sure we track the bull and finish the job. And judging by the end of this episode both shots did the job so congrats! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your plans on why you are doing what you do to try to locate and get within range of the elk. One thing I recognize right away while watching these videos is that we locked ourselves in too much to a camp location with the way we set things up, making it hard to easily pack up and move to a different/better location. Also we didn't do a great job of establishing plans B and C in the event that A didn't work out well. Thanks for these lessons.

So many opinions and calling techniques. After watching this it confirms my opinions on hunting the open terrain. Looks nice but hard to hunt with a bow. Really hope they recover the bull. Love the passion, really shows when things go wrong.

That's one of the great things about this show is how real it is. Unfortunately, hunting isn't always perfect and this show shows that. I'm glad he was able to recover it.
