The iPad being able to use hubs is a game changer. I use an anker multi hub. 1 cable plugged in gets me my samsung 27 inch display and all of my instruments/music interface for music production. When i just want an iPad feel or portability i unplug the 1 cable and im free or just use my magic keyboard. Barely ever touch my mac these days
The bump in price for 1 TB storage not only includes storage but also a non-binned processor (extra core) and twice the memory (8 GB vs 16 GB, if memory serves). So regardless of my storage needs, I'm still buying the 1TB model. That’s not to say that AAPL's prices for storage are not outrageous, just that there is more to the decision than storage alone.
I edit in Lumafusion and I just started doing my A roll on my iPhone 14 Pro but in 1080. Lately I’ve been doing some edits using old video from Google Photos and elsewhere… so I throw everything on a SanDisk Extreme 500GB SSD and work from there. That covers the bases for me but as my UA-cam channel is growing I’m starting to work on multiple videos, so I need to get some more storage. I think I’ll get another SanDisk Extreme as I love the form factor and all the rest. I also have a hub but it’s getting flaky, so new hub time! Thanks for all the great tips Chris!
I'm still not decided for SSD"s but I bought HDD's for archive storage. I"ve went for 5x 20TB OWC MiniStacks, they nicely fit my Mac Mini setup and having 100 TB storage for that price is amazing.
Would love to see your set up on how you offload your personal photos to an external hard drive. Do you utilize the files app to go back to the images or just keep all images in the photos app.
I normally like your videos, however, this time all I seem to have learned is what expensive stuff you have and not how to use it, (which is not what happened), then to cap. it all you ask us to TELL YOU how we are using our external drives. I hoped you would include some info on how to transfer apps from the iPad onto an external drive to create more space on as a 128gb internal drive. Never mind, my quest continues. Keep up the good work, (apart from this one)…
The best value and fastest storage I have tested is this nateck enclosure with a Hynix p41 platinum 2tb nvme , it hits around 3300MBps and total cost is around £195 Assembly takes a few minutes and it's usb4/thunderbolt 3/4 and also 10gbps usb 3.2 compatible. If you want to rock out your storage with mac,PC or iPad then the Terramaster d5/d8 hybrid is the way to go with up to 4nvme and 4xHDD all available Dock wise the caldigit ts3+ or ts4 will more than satisfy your needs although if you want a cheap 10gbps hub Wavlink make a stunner with 100w power usb c, 2.5gbe ethernet, 10Gbps data port and dual usb a ports and hdmi 2.0 (4k @60fps) for around £40 so you can add a 2TB ssd and away you go
Ads are chosen based on algorythm monitoring your internet activity, videos you watching, sites you visit etc, basically it's based on your preferences, so if you see Kamala there it's your own poor taste and judgment manifesting my dear 😛
@@TekkitsWorkshop wrong. For political ads, it’s based on paid time and location they want to run the ads. It’s all wasted on people like me, but I also can’t stand her face, so it’s DEFINITELY not based on my viewing preferences… that’s a hilarious comment from you though, thanks for chiming in with some humor for the day.

As always, an awesome video delivering tons of great information in a pleasant and efficient way.

Thank you for making this! Please do a tutorial on how to store old iPhone photos to free up space!
I just love your videos always learn something and some great ideas to improve my work flow 😀
I use 6TB iCloud and am very happy with it.

Same, would like to see this!
Excellent video! I thought I had made a mistake in purchasing a low storage iPad option but I found that I can export my projects directly to an ssd!
Enjoyed the vid... currently use the Belkin thunderbolt hub, helps to add more functionality.. plug a monitor and external storage.

Nice video. Thanks! One quick question: What is the optimal format for a drive being used on an M4 iPad Pro but also connecting to an M-series Mac?

Great overview. Thanks for sharing 😊
OWC 10GBE to a nas that has super fast nvme drives and a ram cache, it's easy. built myself.
I love video so much keep it up
There’s a faint buzzing sound when you speak that sounds like an artifact of compression.
Have you ever thought about doing a BTS of your setups. That would be nice for those who are just getting started.
I got a way better solution than all that stuff. I will post a video later.
Your ad with Kamala is pretty poor taste… can you adjust that out?
I have no control of ads UA-cam shows
