FINALLY! That worked perfectly... this Jeep has been sitting for ten years because of this security system fault. THANK YOU!

Awesome!!! Thank you so much for uploading this. Worked like a charm. I do have the keys, so when I connected the battery I just turned the key in the door to stop the lights from flashing. I then removed the fuse, module just like you did and I'm done. No more alarm going off in the middle of the night.

Yep this did the trick on my 91 Cherokee. The fuse i had to pull out was the number 3 fuse Clock/security alarm. The wires was tan/pink and green/orange the number 4 slot on the security alarm cap thing and straight across from it. Just fyi the 91 Cherokee's fuse box is located under the dash driver side. I also ran my ground wire from my battery terminal.

Thank you for this. It worked awesome. Bought a jeep with this problem. And now it works great. Bought it to put part into my grand wagoneer.

You are the man; I've been having the alarm problem for 20+ years; dealer couldn't fix it; alarm places couldn't either; electric shops etc, no body could disable the darn alarm; you have helped me solve a life long problem on my to do list; now i will go for restoring the jeep as I always wanted to, but did not go for it as the vehicle was unreliable leaving me stranded everywhere; burned tons of money over the years to either fix it or disable it; even replaced computer straight from dealership; thanks a million!

I just did this. Holding the module the same way he holds it in the vid, i see these wires in the connector (starting from the left):
    | 1 black | 2 brown/tan | 3 empty space |*4 tan/pink* | 5 black/red| ...
again holding the module as in the vid, on the back side of the connector, starting from the left, the wires are:
    | 1 white/gray | 2 purple | 3 white/black | *4 purple/yellow* | 5 pink/orange | ...
As in the video, I grounded the 4th wire from the left (tan/pink) an heard a relay click, but the lights were still blinking. I then grounded the wire directly behind it (purple/yellow) heard a relay click, and the alarm was off.
Disconnected the module, plugged the 15 am fuse back in, and shut of the engine.disconnected the +battery lead for a few seconds, connected it back up, NO ALARM! Yea!
Hope this helps. EKMF, thanks for posting the video! I've been trying to fix this for a long time.

Luckily I came to the comment section and this guy explained it in detail and exactly which wires to touch. Thank you Mr Jex Ter!!!
