Its pretty comforting to know that Toast doesn't feel confident enough to drive either, like everyone badgers me for not having my license at 23, but I got my learners first try... but I'm deathly afraid of damaging things or people around me
I started driving last month and I'm about to turn 23. Trust me when I say this, but you gotta keep doing it to not be afraid of it anymore. I used to have legit nightmares of crashing my dad's car. But now that I actually started driving, I find it kinda fun. I'm still not very good at it, but it's a lot less scary than I thought it would be. Get some practice and you'll be fine.
I'm 23 (about to turn 24) and just got my license last week. Take your time! Start small and practice in empty roads and parking lots where you don't have to drive fast and then work your way up to your comfort. And celebrate every small achievement along the way. It's scary at first, but the more you learn about how to keep you and others safe, the more manageable it gets. Also don't be discouraged if you don't pass the driver's test the first time! It's all a mental battle, as it was for me. You got this!
I'm from Germany and to me it sounds like all of you aren't taking drivers lessons. Like don't you drive with a teacher before you take the exam and start driving alone? I'm currently 17 and recently got my driver's license. At first I also was kinda afraid of it but my driving teacher was sitting next to me and was able to brake in case I messed something up.
Yay Yvonne! I'm so glad that she made an appearance on the podcast. One of my favorite contents that streamers do is 'Just Chatting'. Yvonne is a great storyteller; she gives a lot of information, acts out convos, and is very clear in what she says.

Wow I relate so much to the content in this podcast, Yvonne who loves Sailor Moon and Taylor Swift, and a notion fan. Also as a realized serial dater and hopeless romantic, I feel like Taylor wasn't purposely trying to date around for song inspiration, she was probably just living her life like most of us and trying to learn what she looks for or doesn't look for in a partner. But as a by product of being a creative, it's just natural to draw from your experiences. So many artists write songs about their breakups all the time, it's just that since she dated other celebrities, that people noticed it more and want to give her flack for it. I enjoyed the early video game experiences as a girl segment, also I love that Yvonne was able to open up about her past relationship, thanks for sharing!
John Mayor's songs are widely about love and various relationships as well. He's had about as many, if not more, relationships than Taylor. which is fine! Many people date around lol but Taylor always gets called out for it, particularly in like the early 2010s. I do think it's really interesting to think about how celebrity relationships actually work though

Getting a drivers license is way fucking harder in other countrys. In Austria we first of all have to pay a lot more and second of all you have to learn like 800 questions for the theory test and have a few hundred kilometers (a bit less in miles) driven for practice while someone who has a drivers licence in the same car watching over you (most times its one of the parents) wich you are only allowed to do after you already had a practical test with a driving teacher.
I've been in the same boat as Toast for YEARS. I got my first driving permit 10 yrs ago. I was terrified of hurting someone (my poor eyesight also worries me). So after taking drivers ed I never went for my actual license. I just walk places.
38:10 I know no one asked but this is a super common phenomenon - "l'appel du vide" / "the call of the void." It's why I don't have my driver's license either
I mean the Green Knight is an a24 film those movies are more so on the art house side of cinema so more than not general audiences tend to dislike the slow burn methodical style and in all honesty absurdity of those movies. Sorry for the long winded response just wanted to say watch what you wanna watch and formulate your own opinion.
@@alecafshar9370 For me it's all about the probability. The chances of movie being good with more than 90 % user score is very high for me. I think the point I wanted to get across was to venture outside of just looking at a number a website aggregates off of hundreds of reviewers cause you never know, there’s plenty of hidden gems out there that you could come across regardless of what the critic to user score is. I guess the issue lies more so on rotten tomatoes since it’s an aggregate website. Rotten tomatoes doesn’t average out the score of critic or user reviews but rather looks at whether or not the review is considered “positive” i.e a movie can have every critic and or user give it a 6/10 on the website and yet it gets an inflated percentage of 100% on the tomato and or audience score since anything six or higher is considered “positive.” All in all I think it’s worthwhile to check out movies despite what it’s critic to user score is (whether it be a a high critic score to low audience score or vice versa).
