Dude I'm 45 and I'm now just getting into all of this madness, I mean, I've used editing programs but now I have a reason why I want to learn. I spend hours upon hours, I figure I'm trying to make up for lost time lol but watching you guys and just doing the research has been a huge help so big ups my dude thank you mucho
I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that you guys don’t need to sweat the disconnects and discord issues. The stream is great and the vibe/conversation carries through regardless of silly little technical issues.
I started learning blender back in 2007, and I haven’t used it in probably 6 - 7 years, but I feel like I could just jump back in. Blenders like a piano, initially getting your co-ordination with your hot keys and submenu’s is tough, but once you got it, you don’t even need to think about it anymore and you just play music.
I took one maya + unity class in college, and it didn’t interest me that much, but your channel is making me want to learn more about it! You just take the pressure off and focus on expressing yourself. Great stuff Clint!
@@thomasking9524 by your logic: if aftereffects was so awesome, who would spend 8000 on nuke? nobody. C4d does the same as blender with the same quality. It's the artist who makes the difference not the tool. If you think your art benefits so much from it then your $1000 are well spend. I also pay for substance since it is far better for texturepainting, speeded up my workflow and the quality of my work.
Clint asked why I want to learn blender and so on. I watch this stream and corridors content and im able to see how much love you all have for it. I myself have love for the content and learning it. I want to know what its like to love my job one day. I'm 30 and sadly I have never even worked a job I enjoy. Let alone love.
Peter said he didn't want to do something too complex as that was a lesson he's learned too many times so Clint proceeds to pick something that required an additional 5 hours due to the complexity of just the blocking lol
1:01:59 I'm 2 days in to learning 3D in blender and i whisper to screen "invert it Peter there must be a way" and he literally dropped an invert node. This was awesome not only to get two different perspectives on build, for me a as n00bie to see to programs i know very little about in action. I'm currently using houdini but for the next 32 days thats what im sticking too. Its nice to see the theory and approach is the same. ISH
15 years! I didn't have time to watch this and lost track afterwards, but today I remembered to check what happened. I was excited when you mentioned that this stream was special, and then I was kind of disappointed that the "special" thing about this stream was having Peter as a guest. Did you miss that this stream was done exactly 15 years after you made your youtube account? Congratulations on that I guess 😉
1:42:58 I use that so I can edit every duplicate version at once, which is very convenient. Pretty chill stream! What would've probably help to fill the silence is to have some soft bgm (non-copyrighted stuff, of course) in the background. I suggest Comfi Beats. :)
