@@ChrisGravesGolf Hi Chris, I’ve got two questions. Over-the-top move causes to have a huge outside to in swing path causing the ball to go out to the right. Question 1: How come ball moves to the right? If we hit the ball from outside to in, then the ball should go to the left. Please explain. Thank you. Question 2: If we swing (the correct way) inside to out, the ball should go to the left (i.e. slicing the ball). Please explain. Thank you.
@@robinleow185 Questionn 1: This primarily has to do with SPIN. If you swing out to in you will impart a clockwise spin on the ball causing it to move from left to right. If your club face is open with an out to in swing path you will definitely have a big slice.
Question 2: An in to out swing path will generally cause the ball to have a counter clockwise spin moving the ball from right to left. If your clubface is slightly closed with an in to out path, you will hit a draw or possibly a hook. The sweet spot is slightly closed face with an in to out swing path. Each person has to practice that to figure out exactly what works for them. There is a little bit of timing involved as well when you release the club. I will do a future video on the release very soon. Really appreciate the questions!!
@@ChrisGravesGolf Thank you Chris, for the answer to Question 1. But, how does an out to in swing cause a clockwise spin to begin with? If we hit the ball square or with a close face, it would be logical to assume that the ball will go to the right (hooking the ball). The only way for the ball to spin clockwise is when the face is open. Then the ball would travel left than right (pull slice). Your comment, Sir?
Thank you for the great and simple explanation. I can’t wait to get outdoors to practice this tip… 🤙
No problem Art! Thanks for watching and commenting
Cheers Chris you made that very easy to understand ⛳️
