Could mimic a larger Hydraulic press using a system of levers.
The hydraulic press pushes down on the end of the lever arm,
while the item being crushed is in the middle of the lever arm.
Shorter vertical travel but greater pressure.
The lever arms would be thick and heavy.
It is comparable to using a longer stapler arm, to staple through thicker books

At least in the US, blacksmiths call those things "anvil shaped objects" they are fine for light cold-work, like the sort of things jewelers tend to do. But they aren't so great at standing up to a shift of making even simple steel projects, like door hinges.

Way back a few years in mold and die making we used a process called "Hobbing" to form cavities in steel by pressing a hardened steel punch in the form of the part we wanted die cast or mold in plastic. This was done to make a cavity that would be very difficult to machine in the solid. The presses were quite large and averaged over 1500 tons.
Now a days we have EDM, Electrical Discharge Machining also called Spark Erosion. I still have a few of the hobs from back in the 1950's. The cavity steel was low carbon steel and after the hobbing process the steel cavity was carburized and hardened.
I have been in the business of mold and die making way too long.
Love your videos. Keep on doing the fun stuff.

First, mouth off my fluffel of bunnies. Or is that more of s silent but deadly kind of thing? Second, it would be cool to see in thermal IR but I wonder if current cameras have a high enough frame rate to catch the action of the metal breaking, but also see hot spots before they dissipate into a blur. Probably good enough to get a pretty good sense of what is going on but I bet reality would look cooler (hotter) .
