I don't know if you know this or not but the recommended eq isn't the default mode on the Sony xb 23 the speaker is really meant to be played in the extra bass mode hence XB 23 as in EXTRA BASS
Watched again, i could hear some pretty heavy intermodulation on the huawei. Thats the proper point of a crossover. Even if its cheap, at least the full range wont get treble thus possibly handling more bass without anything distorting

Hello Alan Why the bitrate caps at 250 I think that for the Sony through the Sony application or by setting the bluetooth on the developer settings on Android you can set the bitrate to 990kbs

To my ears, the Sony is brighter, but harsh and washed out. However, the bass kick on the Huawei with the first track sounds bad, for sure it wipes the floor with the Sony, but I wouldn't buy either of them and even if I was given one, I'd still rather listen to my motion boom or JVC!
