The sound brings no joy to me and I'm not flipping over the 6 but I might get a charge out of the 5. 😏 The only argument I can see for the flip is its smaller size but the charge 5 still looks palmable and, personally, I think worth the added size, weight and price for the performance gain. Awesome review and comparison once again, Alan! 😁👍👏
Hi! Please help me ;) i have one flip6 and im happy with size and sound... but want more sound and power. I want to buy another speaker - flip6 or charge 5. What do you think, which pair will sound better : 2 x flip6 in stereo or 1 flip6 and 1 charge5 in party boost pair???
Lol you always put a smile on my face. Great comparison as always. I would love to see you review the Aura Studio 3, it's $250 in my country and I don't know if I should go with that or Onyx Studio 7. My plan is for casual listening at low levels volume nothing too crazy when im chilling in my bedroom and ocasionally use it as soundbar for watching some netflix. 😅
JBL takes this one for sure. The little Flip 6 puts down a decent bass, i think about equalling the Sound joy, but the highs and mids on the Flip don't distort the way the Sound Joy does. The Charge 5 obviously takes the cake here, but it's also physically largest and the most expensive so that is to be expected. Overall, i would rather have either JBL option. Or better still, a Motion+...
If I'm thinking about mono speaker, jbl charge 5 is really good. jbl flip 6 is smaller so for me huawei is better then xb23, and any bigger emotions about it :P
Alan, may i ask which is better EQ setting in huawei sound joy? I just bought my own huawei sound joy? And i just also downloaded the application for huawei? Which is better' the Hifi or the devialet EQ? thanks in advance
i sold mine a long time ago but from memory devialet eq was the most realistic with 6db push. but the differences were not big. hifi mode goes loudest.
Charge 5 rocks. Great detail and a really nice sound. But it's the biggest and definitely more expensive so it's understandable. The Sound Joy also sounds nice, although it lacks a complete midrange and the detail is so-so. Flip 6 may look ok in the graphs, but to the ear it is not pleasant, it is one big flat noise. Sounds cheap to me. I don't know where the enthusiasm for him comes from, because he is definitely the worst of the three.
@@alanrossreviews oh I see, but I think the Earfun Uboom L is quite a different speaker to the old Uboom (it lies flat), it has Oluv's tuning and is coming out next month? I'm keen to hear your twopenneth on it Rossy 👍
From what I could hear I think the sound joy sounds better than the flip 6. What's your opinion on that? Your personal perceptions and opinions about the sound quality on these 3 speakers
Well the SoudJoy actually did better than I thought it would. I'm just curious on how will the Pulse 5 is going to sound like. Btw I just launched rhe Motion booms vs the Boombox 👍
should i go for the huawei sound joy that i can get for 80 usd or go with the charge 5 for 160 usd? is there really that big difference? my friend has the huawei and it kinda lacks bass from what i heard...
The sound of the Flip 6 isn't that far off from the Soundcore Boost (At least with my own EQ) which is more my reference point. Even though you can get better sounding speakers I can kind of see why people would like the Sound Joy. Generally a lot of people still don't really expect a lot of bass from a bluetooth speaker at these sizes.
@@alanrossreviews In my circles they just would. I never understood it. If it's a a big brand they can live with it. Even after having been exposed to the W-King or Soundcore. And they are enjoying it so can't complain there.
Flip 6 for me! Charge 5 too edgy for my taste, still like the charge 2+ even today... won't be beaten for my personal sound preference in a portable speaker
@@Pablo-hw5ik this compression which gives it this fullness and punch out of a small speaker, also the quality of the mids and highs. Luckily I still have 1 c2 and 1 c2+. Had the charge 4 too but was way too muddy and harsh at high volumes
I prefer the flip 6 here because it's so small and actually sounds acceptable. Maby reduce treable all the way at higher volumes and should be good. But for this price and size I would somehow stretch to the Minirig 3...

This title. Hahaha what a troll video Alan. I think we all know both of the inferior JBL’s, can’t come close to beating the quality of the superior Huewei Sound Joy. I mean the name itself proves it “Sound Joy” What a speaker 🤤
Huawei sound joy is better against the JBL speakers (flip 5 or 6) huawei bluetooth speaker can be used as speaker phone, more battery life than the JBL, you can use it horizontally or vertically, you can hooked it to your bike or motorcycle etc. In my opinion
@@alanrossreviews but sir alan, the treble, good god, its so terrible😭😭😭. Fr now, if found for about the same price sonos roam is way better deal than the 2 xd, then the flip 6 joins the chat killing it all again hahah.
Ok flip 6 being the worst huwaei = charge 5 but if I had to choose one soundstage is wider on charge 5 that’s how it sounds to me that’s why I’d go with charge 5.
