Congrats Dude! Nothing is better then completing your own lift. Well done! 👍
Thank you! Took a couple days by doing it in the garage but defiantly glad I did it vs someone else doing it.
Wicked awesome 👍
Thanks for the video. Looks great. Any comments/ review now that the lift has been on there for a couple years?
i have the same kit installed on my 95 xj, i recommend u getting the adjustable track bar, and of course you are getting a really stiff ride like me, im gonna buy some control arm drop brackets and rear shackle relocators to get smooth ride
aresbar did you get the drop brackets installed? Did it help ride quality?
@@lifeofky4037 not yet buddy, it's a bit hard to get jeep parts here in mexico, i think i will be getting them in 2 weeks more
Okay cool good luck! Let us now how they help
@@aresbar did they help
Looks good
Good job on the lift. Quick question, will the jeep still fit in the garage? Does it hit the garage door motor? (if your garage has an opener)
Thanks
Thanks
Harbor freight has a good sweet set of spring compressers. Makes 100% easier to install coil springs.. shocks will start leaking like every customer
kit does that wants this kit I kn
Like the vid, I'm getting ready to do the same lift. Hopefully it goes well, wish me luck!!!!!!
Did you keep the rear sway bar on and buy adjustable rear links or take it off?
Any issues with the transfer case linkage
I cant figure out the rear break line bracket
Does the kit come with those brackets for the sway bar links?
how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
What size are those tires?
With new tires it would look great
It’s a good lift I just feel that they should not advertise it as a 4.5 inch lift because the leaf springs are short you need relocating brackets that will add more to the rear lift you’ll have 6 in the rear by the time it’s don’t you have a comfortable ride mine is really ruff in the rear
Ran into the same problem. Just put the 4.5" lift on my XJ about a month ago and the ride is really stiff. Did it soften up at all over time?
Hey how much was your kit
What size tires?
Sweet looks good, except for those painted door handles
Can the finished product ever be seen? Let’s see the finished Jeep! I watched this whole video and didn’t see the after Jeep.
Que mueyes le metiste
I truly enjoined that. When putting back on your track bar, Im gunna buy me an adjustable track bar so I don't have to drill...that'll work right?...wish me luck. I gotta start saving.....keep up with the videos brother...
Coming from a mechanic, do not anti seiz any of the nuts and bolts lock tight them 🤦♂️
Anyone know what to do... bought a 92 with a rough country 6 inch lift... except he never changed the shocks from the previous 4.5" lift. I bought the right shocks but I'm nervous because it seems the coils are under serious load. Dont want it to blast apart. I know it's only 1.5 in difference.
The current shocks are maxed out and I cant get any weight onto it to release the currently installed ones. Any ideas?
Get spring compressors.
How much was the lift u put on
tony crawford $750 for the 4.5 in loft but you’ll need to get a long arm kit for $675 and frame stiffener for $100 to correctly and safely build your Jeep
You don’t need a long arm kit or stiffeners up front. There are many flavors to this kit, but the best and most complete version is the X-Series (which is $1k complete). Comes with everything you saw in this video, plus proper extended brake lines, adjustable track bar w/drop bracket, lift pitman arm, drop sway links w/quick disconnects. Basically the best packaged lift they offer in 4.5”.
Also, you should eliminate the rear sway bar. It does very little for stock XJ’s, and is a hindrance to lifted XJ’s. I didn’t notice if you replaced the sway bushings up front, but you should if you didn’t.
Lastly, the rear shackle mounts create an issue with ride comfort. The ride is stiff unless you’re loaded up with heavy bumpers and gear. You may want to consider shackle relocation boxes or boomerangs (shackles).
My XJ is not a daily, so I’m not doing anything about the rear shackles until I’m done tho my rear bumper and tire carrier.
Good luck with your XJ’s guys.
BigNuge where did you purchase your lift kit from?
Greg Phillips, I bought my lift right from the RC website. $1k with free shipping.
BigNuge thanks. I have a 95’ 2 door Cherokee I want to lift. It’ll mainly be used for a get around truck where I hunt. How is the ride with the lift?
tereble music
great spelling though
terrible music nice lift
