Love it. It's cool to see someone else going through the same learning curve I'm currently struggling with, in real time. I would love to see more posts.
I did manage to land a kickflip yes :) And in my eyes it was a very pretty one actually, i've posted a short clip of it on my insta and even the professional skateboarder from the San Francisco Bay area Aaron Kyro commented on it :D Sadly due to some life decisions i didnt really have much time anymore to improve or continue skating :/ But for your flicking problem - the Videos from Aaron Kyros "Braille" yt-channel explain it very nicely and thats how i learned and finally managed to do it :) (and as you can see it can take some time to actually do it)
@@Trickyman95 haha damn, Aaron Kyro, the professional skateboard from the San Francisco Bay area, commented? Nice! I've seen plenty of braille videos, but idk I can't conquer the flicking down motion
you should try some heelflips too my guy. ive been skating for around 2,5 years and i've known how to kickflip for years now but im just now finding out im more of a heelflip person. if kickflips still feel difficult, give the heelflip a try. might help you when you try your first combination tricks (halfcab heel, etc.)
This very helpful and encouraging for beginner skaters. You should continue to do more.

I can't even get the board to flick. It probably won't take you long to do a double kickflip! Did you get the kickflip after all?
