    This is great, I get confused when I look at your line to buy and this answered every single question I had. And also makes me appreciate how much thought you put into your products!

    Ok she has the best way of explaining things!! I am not a nail tech yet, more of an enthusiast, & I love YN products. But sometimes I am so confused on how to use the products I get or I use them incorrectly & see issues. So thank you so much for such an in-depth explanation. 🙏🙏❤️

    Thank you for making these basics videos! I finished nail school where we actually watched a lot of young nails videos, but did not learn anything about gel besides basic polishing it on. This is very helpful. Please keep making these step by step videos!
    Just wondering would I be able to do a tip (not full coverage) and use mani q soft gel in the pot as a overlay instead of hard gel or acrylic? Thanks!

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому +1

      No, you can't extend with soft gels. If you are adding a tip, even a short one, it's an extensions instead of an overlay.
      Our fiber gel is a bit thicker and has had success used over a very short acrylic tip if you want to try that.

    If I want to do cream clay on a natural nail what base do you recommend? Is a top coat needed?

    • @youngnailsinc

    Soft builder
    And the hard builder for a gel mani?
    If i don't do a soft in between the hard my nails or gel polish pop off?

      We are not using any hard gel in this video. These are all of our soft gels meaning they can be soaked off.

    Don’t we use base coat over every polish so it adheres the product or it’s not necessary ? but primer is a must

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  6 місяців тому +1

      You do not need to apply base on top of the gel polish color. You apply base on the natural nail after prepping the nail and before applying the gel color.

      @@youngnailsinc omg I meant before the polish hahha but also I’m new to hard gel what’s the difference between soft and hard gel bc I feel like they are similar ? I know soft you soak off and hard gel is stronger ..

    When filing your own nails with your non dominant hand should I be switching the motor to Reverse or do I leave it on the forward as I use it being right handed

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому +1

      If you are right handed and you are e-filing your right hand using your left, you switch to reverse depending on which way your right hand is facing. If that makes sense. If you have your fingers bent downward into your palm like almost making a fist, you use reverse. If you work on your right hand while it is flat facing away from you keep it in forward.

    • @bnailed6035
      @bnailed6035 Рік тому

      Yes it does make sense however mostly I have my right hand flat in front of me for majority of the filing so I should keep it on forward but if making a fist in front of myself I would put it in reverse

    So is base coat necesaary before putting a gel polish color over acrylic?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому

      No, the enhancement acts as the base. So we would finish file, cleanse with swipe, a coat of protein bond and then gel polish.

    With GO time and using two coats, do you have to buff between since there is no sticky layer?

    Do you need to use protein bond when using Mani Q with keratin??

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому

      We always use protein bond, but if you prefer to soak off then we recommend only applying it to the tips of the nails.

    @sheena-marieroots4706 Рік тому

    6:10 I thought that swipe didn’t have any acetone in it? If you don’t have mani q cleanse then what can you use to take that sticky layer off?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому

      Swipe is an alcohol and acetone based product formulated to cleanse the nail perfectly for product.
      Here is a video about Swipe & how to use it: ua-cam.com/video/lXxr0U-kHkM/v-deo.html

      When the nail grows out and the free edge isn't getting moisture from the nail bed any longer, it gets dehydrated and loses its flexibility. With wear and tear, it can start to pull away. Make sure your clients are using cuticle oil on a regular basis (at least once/twice daily) to help keep the nails hydrated and flexible.

    What if we are going to be doing nail art & need to wipe the tacky layer to do so ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому +1

      We would recommend if you do wipe the tacky surface, give the nail a light buff, cleanse and apply Protein Bond before doing your design and then top coat.

    I mean, a rule of thumb is it takes 30 minutes for two coats of regular polish to dry… gel all the way 😅😂

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Рік тому +1

      When working with the [YN] Polish, this is a faster drying polish, so you can usually encapsulate it with Conversion gels within 5 minutes.
